A month late but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I don’t have Helminth unlocked yet but I am getting Gauss Prime soon and was wondering which ability would be replaced with nourish if I ever get the chance of aquiring this build.
@@stanthejunkmanyou can choose which ability to replace over for Grendel's Nourish. Honestly it would probably be his 2. His 1 is his entire thing, being fast and stacking the battery fast. His 2 is used for survivability, giving complete damage and status immunity to IPS, Heat, Cold and Blast damage. It also gives Knockdown resistance. Now im saying this can be replaced because as shown in the video you can be immortal without using Redline simply by equipping Arcane Aegis. Knockdown immunity can be gotten from PSF His 3 has an augment that gives you elemental weapon damage depending on which form you use. His 4 just cant be replaced.
Fun fact: it seems that both were based on Sonic, with Gauss being Modern, and Grendel taking more after Classic. Before his gluttonous theme came by and he got turned into Kirby.

Their epithet though, The Saint of Altra and The Ogre of Redda. If you follow their lore, both of them support each other. When Gauss breaking through the Altra Tower, Grendel was there acting as ram so Gauss can break the almost impenetrable Dax forces stationed during their mutiny. During the Butcher of Redda incident, Gauss was there to ensure no corrupt Orokin escape so Grendel can finish the mission with ease.
Grendel isn't mentioned as being present in Gauss' Leverian (Though Gauss _is_ mentioned in Grendel's), and I can't find any official source that gives Grendel the epithet you mentioned.
Huh. I know that Grendel-Gauss is the only friendship we know of but now I kinda wanna see other combos with Warframes that are maybe thematically similar or connected. Instead of you know, just looking for the strongest setup there is, you just have fun with what 2-player combos you can think of.

His 1 is based on Friederich Gauss studies on Magnetism, which is the reason why Gaussguns/Railguns exist. In short, Gauss is a projectile and his legs are his magnetic rails. Saying that he has nothing to do to speed is like saying that Qorvex is not about Radiation because he's made of concrete, but saying that's he is all about speed is basically the same.

i should prob mention that gauss' second ability prevents him from being staggered/knocked down as long as it's active so you could go for a drift mod in the exilus instead of primed sure footed, hope this tip helps :D
the reason we subsume it off is because hits to the 2nd ability reduce your battery. meaning you dont have good upkeep on battery and shield regen the later it goes lvl wise.
@@GuapFrame on the opposite note, Redline just says "nuh-uh" to all battery reduction, giving infinite invincibility to all standard damage types + heat cold and blast so his Plating + Redline = unkillable. if you are afraid of toxin rolling guard is definitely a mod.
Battery upkeep is only a problem if you stay still long enough for enemies to hit you, use that mach rush to your advantage it keeps you topped up without spamming thermal, and it'll knock down almost anything without a shield or overguard, it takes some getting used to, but basically you just keep running through the crowd, turn back to fire a clip of acceltra at that crowd, then run straight through again to clean up, rooms cleared in seconds, Gauss is so broken if you have the hand eye co ordination for it @GuapFrame

U dont need kinetic plating.u can stand still and not die as long as your battery id 80% which is right below red line because it gives shield recharge delay reduction. Gauss in lore is by default faster than vault. Its due to him being nerfed twice before and after released because Mach dash was breaking the game so mush it was a problem. So in order for him to be faster than vault. You have the helminth and the support frames
You cant be faster than volt no matter what you do on gauss , ingame or lorewise , volt just benefits from more stuff .....gauss just hits a limit barrier whereas volt is a number 1 contender .....he can even outrun a razorwing blitz titania with a full speed build and subsume with a fully kitted itzal archwing with maxed hyperion thrusters and a full speed build and subsume.

Well, that was due to someone going into an 8-player Captura session with everybody using builds specifically designed with the intent of seeing how fast they could make him go. IIRC you can still go at that speed with the same setup, it's just that the ability's FOV increase is now capped to prevent the screen flip.
Grendel Prime is the most fun I've ever had using a Warframe. Eating a bunch of people and then spewing toxic clouds is just beautiful. And turning into a sphere that can move at the speed of light is hilarious. He shouldn't be able to move that fast but yet he does. Favorite male Warframe ever and I don't think that's ever going to change. He is a blast to use.

Lohk and Khra canticles for fire rate and universal orb drops 3. birds for status damage 4. books for double damage and status procs Gyre: 1. red crit central 2. pillage for armor strip 3. gyre 2 for grouping inaros : 1. massive grouping and invincibility + procs from his sandstorm augment 2. health tanking with dante and jade on your squad is great 3. swarm kavats and all his CC potential
I would love it if while Gauss used Mach Rush while Grendel was nearby in ball form they both used the higher speed of the two so they could keep pace at all times.
Considering damage resistances stack multiplicatively, it would be more beneficial to drop some health to boost armor a bit higher, which will help you survive a bit better in the long run on top of his two forms of healing.
It’s just a flex at this point, warframe players are obsessed with primed sure footed, I don’t get it because I can run a kuva survival for an hour without getting knocked down and I don’t even use sure footed

she's just faster, but no frame integrated speed in their kit as good as gauss, Titania can pretty much still function even without having to run(fly) around while Gauss' kit actually incentives movement, for the battery.
for Grendel build it would probably be better if you just shield gate for long endurance ran since he generated a disgusting amount of energy with norish+energy nexus drop efficiency cuz your strength and duration is efficiency now due to norish also I suggested drop gourmand for mods like hunter adrenaline energy nexus or one of the augur set mods instead since his rework doesn't drain as much energy as it use to
i have no clue how to play either but i do know my friend heard i got grendel and went gauss and we had a blast because they really do have almost the same pace and are super fun now i have qauss prime
For grendel i use a shield gate build with yareli’s subsume as his fourth ability. You are able to use weapons in ball form and cast his 1 or 2 for easy shield gate
People think Volt, Gauss and Titania are the speed frames but what about Flying Voruna being literally the fastest warframe and when are we going to get an official speedframe even where we can test our dedicated car builds since Voruna might be fast but she has problems with turning or braking and other warframes with their slower speed but bigger versatily could still finish first it's all aboud balance would be a cool event.
With the build you subsume his 2 off and replace it with nourish or roar because you don’t need damage reduction considering it’s an infinite shield gate build
Im sorry but saying lore accurately that Grendel can keep up with Gauss is just insanely delusional. Grendel can be quite surprisingly fast yes but I hope you understand that Lore Accurate Gauss (and Volt for that matter) are EVEN FASTER than their Gameplay variants. This would of course mean the same for Grendel too yes, but not to anywhere NEAR the levels of the 2 Speedboi GODS that are Gauss and Volt. Speedqueen(s) too if we include Portal Focused Nova but then again she is in her own category cause it is not her physical movement, just some special portals.

Wait last time I checked gtendel can do huge shield gaiting. Because the shields are already so small it he's easy to mod to get full shield back in that 1.3 sec. He can reach the lowest shield possible. Edit. Whent an double check ya ge can still do it. Im not sure if it all good as befor because he was the best befor the shield gateing changes. But still doable. Tho. He can easly just stand thier in ball form. An regain faster than thay can hurt him. In sp lv 225. An with hiw fast he can roll around an cc then shield gateing really easy with him. If an when thay manage to get thongis normal tanking build.
Grendel has been changed drastically since launch. He used to be such a mediocre pick before his rework. Nothing like Gauss, no synergy. Now, yes. Then, no.

@@otsugua77 no, he subsumed his 2 for nourish if u can see because kenetic drains your battery so fast it makes the build not work. your already invincible with your passive and shield delay mods so you don't need his second ability.

she's just faster, but no frame integrated speed in their kit as good as gauss, Titania can pretty much still function even without having to run(fly) around while Gauss' kit actually incentives movement, for the battery.

for Grendel build it would probably be better if you just shield gate for long endurance ran since he generated a disgusting amount of energy with norish+energy nexus

also I suggested drop gourmand for mods like hunter adrenaline energy nexus or one of the augur set mods instead since his rework doesn't drain as much energy as it use to

For grendel i use a shield gate build with yareli’s subsume as his fourth ability. You are able to use weapons in ball form and cast his 1 or 2 for easy shield gate

People think Volt, Gauss and Titania are the speed frames but what about Flying Voruna being literally the fastest warframe and when are we going to get an official speedframe even where we can test our dedicated car builds since Voruna might be fast but she has problems with turning or braking and other warframes with their slower speed but bigger versatily could still finish first it's all aboud balance would be a cool event.

Im sorry but saying lore accurately that Grendel can keep up with Gauss is just insanely delusional.
Grendel can be quite surprisingly fast yes but I hope you understand that Lore Accurate Gauss (and Volt for that matter) are EVEN FASTER than their Gameplay variants.
This would of course mean the same for Grendel too yes, but not to anywhere NEAR the levels of the 2 Speedboi GODS that are Gauss and Volt. Speedqueen(s) too if we include Portal Focused Nova but then again she is in her own category cause it is not her physical movement, just some special portals.

Wait last time I checked gtendel can do huge shield gaiting.
Because the shields are already so small it he's easy to mod to get full shield back in that 1.3 sec.
He can reach the lowest shield possible.

As a former Grendel main, I will never forgive DE for the “rework” that was actually the biggest nerf in the game’s history disguised as an improvement
His kit feels a lot more fun and synergised now. I do miss eating the whole map though that was one of the key things for me.
@@patto3652 there’s actually less synergy as I believe they removed Nourished Strike’s synergy with all his other powers.
