The one I disagree with is enhancing Ergo because you can always Farm. And the quartz is so rare in the game that you want to maximize every quartz you use.
Enhance ergo is still nice. Can stack nice percentage boost for massive ergo grind all in one go. Not something you do though till you can respec, that way you can still go back to your good build afterwards to progress story.
I dont think capacity is as important here as we think it is. In this game its easy enough to parry and you dont get egregiously punished for blocking, especially with heavy weapons. I would say a medium weight is more than playable... not saying dont put points into it, but prioritize it? not so sure about that.
All stats have diminishing returns except capacity where breakpoints with your equipment are the only limiting factors to its usefulness. It should be prioritized to maintain the weight class you want with your equipment which will keep getting heavier as the game progresses, especially when your other stats get to 30-40 and aren't granting much benefit.
@@apharys8921 this is true but at the same time its not really that beneficial to rush into capacity really early when the amulets exist. Youre far better off levelling your main stats and by end game youll easily have 30 capacity naturally.
late game capacity is definitely more important, I’m on a technique build w/ puppet string so weapon weight is never an issue but with high capacity i can get about 50% physical damage reduction for a pretty tanky technique build. I think it goes further than leveling vitality (mine is only 30 at endgame) because an extra 10% damage reduction basically gives me two extra pulse charges worth of damage I can take.
@@cinnamoncoffeecake5925 youre correct but youd also need the correct vitality stat to support a percentage based dmg reduction. no point in reducing dmg by 50% when you only have 2HP (I know its hyperbolic but its for the sake of the point) This is why hitting your soft cap in vit first is more important imo. not to say that you should neglect capacity or weight entirely...
Majority of souls likes, like 99% of souls likes have weight on all the equipment. It's a defining trait that determines playstyles. These games would be far too easy if you had the luxury of having all the heaviest/best armor or equipment but with zero movement and stamina implications.

The weapon handle decide the damage scaling, like B,D, - . , or if you alter it into A, - , - , or even more ( I didn't tried it) usually it is best to focus on one single stats on A/S scaling, which brings you the most damage out of the same level required. @@sdotwallace thanks mate , now what got me the most was the handle swapping , slowly getting there just best the archbishop o my days that was Hard as nails
I genuinely love the P Organ concept. I hate games with skill trees because in the end you’re not customizing everything, you’re choosing what order to unlock abilities. Most characters are identical in the end. Unless I missed a ton of Quarts it doesn’t seem like you can unlock everything in one play through. You actually get a chance to customize a play style unique to how you play. Everyone’s will look different and play different.
"Increases Ergo upon eliminating an enemy I" I have to desagree with you. Why you shouldn't upgrade this early game: it's a 9.3% exp increase. You can just get the same amount of the exp just killing 2 extra enemys. In the early game you will get about 10 extra ergo, but then again, you can just kill two extra enemies any time and will get basically the same amount of ergo. This is not a good choice early on.
I usually always take anything that gives me more experience But farming is way to easy in this game to waste it on that. I'd rather have more health back on blocks or longer stagger periods and just farm for a few minutes if I need
@@P4wnyhof it makes perfect sense. Quartz is limited and you're better off trying to maximize things like Stagger, Fable etc over getting more Ergo. That'll literally come into play every single fight.
Is their a difference between technique and motivity if you change the scaling of the handle? If not it seems like it doesn't matter what stat you invest in because you can still use whatever weapon you want just by using whatever crank suits you
the crank doesnt change the scaling 1-1. for example, if a weapon has A tier motivity scaling and C tier technique scaling, and I use a tech crank to make it scale better w tech, then it'll only have a B tier in tech and a B tier (or lower) in motiv. So using a weapons native scaling or enhancing its native scaling will always yield more damage scaling. If I took that same weapon with A tier motivity scaling, and applied a motivity crank to it, it would go to S tier motivity scaling and likely remove the tech scaling or drop it to a D. So if you're trying to milk as much damage as possible out of your build, you're better off sticking with its native category and enhancing it with a crank to further scale better with its already main category. hope this was helpful (just read this comment again and if you take a shot every time I said the word scaling you're sure to have a hospital visit LOL)
i think depending on your stat spread it can be better or worse to boost the stronger stat, my technique is 24 and motivity at 19 and if i boost a weapon with Dmot and Atec to S tier tech, the loss of motivity scaling actually reduces damage overall
