A theory I have on the Shagaru SnS is that it was supposed to be upgraded really early and was sort of meant to be for Gaismagorm since it’s really weak to dragon

Same, Ive had literally no issues with it as I don’t have to slot in crit eye and weakness exploit on everything.

You are seriously underrating the Goltsneit. Shield bashes do not care about sharpness and elemental values, only raw damage and affinity.
So a slashing attack with raw damage of 360 and blue (1.2x) sharpness ends up being a little less than 1% worse than a slashing attack with raw damage of 330 and white (1.32x) sharpness, but about 9% better when hitting with the shield. So unless 90% of your damage is coming from slashing attacks, you're better off with the Goltsneit than a 330 weapon with white sharpness. Compared to a purple sharpness 330 weapon, it's about 6% worse on the slash and about 9% better on bash, so it outperforms unless at least ~60% of your damage comes from slashes instead of shield bashing.
It's also got 4/2/1/3* slots on it, which is equal to or better than every other weapon.
It's not the very best weapon on the roster, but there is no way this thing is D tier.

Thanks! I don't have specific builds for MR4, but my suggestion is to just craft the strongest armor available to you so you don't die.

Kinda sad to see Le Limier and Never event so low but it makes sense
(Still gonna use them cuz Limier has good sharpness and Event just has stats that make me prefer it over other sns)

Kiranico has all of the weapons listed in their site. Otherwise, you can get weapon stats by just playing the game.
