This is just the stock BMW Euro software. It has no power gains. Thats why it was so easy to get it running. Flashed euro bikes will do 205-210 dyno hp
Pretty much. The "flat spot" is actually just tuned in to meet the US noise regulations - and they achieve this with throttle blade management and this is tuned out by simply changing the ETV tables to the Euro tables. Same process on all the fly by wire bikes. Just that BMW makes the process of adding a new/altered ECU to the bike a pain. In a way it is now easier to achieve these types of market specific gains -US consumers just have to wait for the stock Euro maps to be extracted.
I think BMW had to go lean in lower revs because of euro emission reasons. So great video to showcase that potential! (However i think that premium ecu tuning is done on the dyno and added to that a fan that can somewhat reproduce ram air effects so your bike doesnt run lean at higher speeds. In germany ecu remaps are quite often aimed at 102 octane fuel for example. If you drive nearly 300km/h for over 5mins your bike has to be bullet proof in airfuel setup. On early 2011 1000RR i saw some ppl with overheating issues with ecu remaps after "autobahn torture".
||||PROTOCOL|||| motonisity doesnt have full exhaust and filter. Def would loose. Ib shouldnt use a jockey cause he himself is the one calling him out. It would make sense that he should be the one to race.
The flat spot is from removing the flap valve and the Cat which are both restricting the air flow. New exhaust covers the addition of more air in the air/fuel mixture to produce more power. All that is left is adding the fuel to the equation / flash the ecu. . It would be nice to see that on the dyno with stock exhaust.
Great Video Mr 650 ib, was fascinating to see how the bike in stock trim is so choked off down low. I hear it’s because of meeting CA EPA noise restrictions. EU Bikes with their restrictions don’t have this choked off engines even with their latest 5th Gen emissions standards. Keep up the great work Sir! I love your open and detailed style. Very Cool.

BMW will probably not honor any ECU changes, unless it can be flashed back and not detected. Serious question: I test ride an 2020 S1000 RR M version this past weekend on a demo ride. The guy before me dropped it pulling in. They showed me hill climb control on a stop on a hill. I noticed IMMEDIATELY almost no throttle response when we pulled out but hill control was not on. I couldn’t get much out of the throttle so the bike was very unsteady. It was not a fun experience until we hit the trusties and highway. Any time I had to start from first gear power band was horrible in dynamic mode. We raced down interstate and that was super fun but my 2017 S1000R premium was a DREAM to get on after that experience. So much smoother faster power delivery. Is that how all RR’s run. I felt like an unsteady newbie on it and I’ve been riding sport bikes for 20 years.
Had this done to my gsxr 1000 k9, 178 bhp with full race exhaust "nowhere street legal". Stock was 166 bhp. Instant power now and the speedo indicates past 300 km/h.

Great video!!!
Thanks!
How much $$$ was this upgrade. Ecu and all the dyno??? Just curious if it is something I could afford in the future. Great video brother!
Had this done to my gsxr 1000 k9, 178 bhp with full race exhaust "nowhere street legal". Stock was 166 bhp. Instant power now and the speedo indicates past 300 km/h.
