They're all great bikes and they keep making each other push the limits which is good for us.
1. Neither are a full 100cc more than the bmw. 2. They are using the M version of the bmw and not the R version of the Ducati. The v4r is 999cc and generates more power than the v4s. Just sayin.
@@evanhall7681 They are comparing bikes within the same price bracket. The V4R is a $40,000 motorcycle. The M Package RR is $22,000. The V4S is $21,500. The 1100 Factory is $24,500. You want to compare the M Package to the V4R? Fine. Compare the V4R to the HP4 Race.
Absolutely s1000rr, just can’t get over that sexy looking beauty, so far the best headlight design I’ve ever seen, and still love the inline4 screaming sound
Aprilia really needs to update the styling for the RSV4 and Tuono BAD, it still looks the same as the old 2012 RSV4! How long are they going to rock halogen lights? Sheesh!
MCN You should not be taking the manufacturers word for it when it comes to power output and weight as they always lie. 650ib has already dynoed them and a Ducati V4R and also weighed them stock. Beamer made most HP with Aprilia closely following. Aprilia made the most Torque with the beamer in 2nd. The Ducati was least powerful in HP and Torque. The Bmw M sport was also the lightest edging out Ducati by 1 pound. With the Rsv4 being the heaviest.
When BMW gives a power figure, that is the minimum you are going to see. Not an "estimate" but the absolute minimum they will allow out of the factory. Every other brand over-estimates.
Fantastic review have waited so long for this brilliant bike review and absolutely loving the sound and looks of new BMW S1000RR what an all rounder winner 👍
TBH, I think the only thing that let the BMW down against the other two bikes was the sound. Love the sound of the V4 engines, but if I was to buy one of these for road riding it'd have to be the BMW hands down.
It’s been some time since there has been a 1000cc test without a Japanese contender. And that is something that’s more exciting than it seems to have been in a couple of years.
@m stegs - hahaha right. Next next year the same words would be use for the Next big bike and the BMW will be the slow and heavier bike of the bunch and push back the line like Ducati was this year.

The V4R is double the price of these bikes. Why would you not use the HP4 Race? Why would you not use Aprilia's MotoGP bike? This is a $22,000 price bracket of European road-going superbikes.
Interesting video. It would be fantastic if Michael can explain the BMW brake fade a bit further. What would leads to a conclusion from the video that Hayes caliper is better than Breambo but Nissin M/C is the weakeast link apart from the final stoke? Did you use the same brake pads acorss all 3 bikes to compare against? Thanks in advance.

They're all great bikes and they keep making each other push the limits which is good for us.
1. Neither are a full 100cc more than the bmw.
2. They are using the M version of the bmw and not the R version of the Ducati. The v4r is 999cc and generates more power than the v4s. Just sayin.
Actually the aprilia has 1073cc, and the V4 layout is generally heavier than an inline 4
@@dfw_motorrad1329 but the V4R can be taken on public roads, where as the HP4 Race can't as its just a track bike.
This guy provides the best motorcycle a commentary on TH-cam. Hes hes like the Chris Harris of motorcycle commentary
Absolutely s1000rr, just can’t get over that sexy looking beauty, so far the best headlight design I’ve ever seen, and still love the inline4 screaming sound
true !
Aprilia really needs to update the styling for the RSV4 and Tuono BAD, it still looks the same as the old 2012 RSV4! How long are they going to rock halogen lights? Sheesh!
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
2021 Moto 2 Daytona 765R has entered the chat...
MCN
You should not be taking the manufacturers word for it when it comes to power output and weight as they always lie.
BMW is an M version that do not compare with Ducati and Aprilia models shown
@@dariogs61 the m version just has more electronics.thats it.. otherwise it is mechanically identical to the regular s1krr
Well I tested both panigale v4 and BMW R1000, and they make 201 and 191 hp respectively
great review mate! i'm stoked for the panigale V4 streetfighter.. cannot wait to test one
My dream bike Aprilia Rsv4.....just f%$#g love that bike...
You could probably do another 2019 Blade, R1, ZX, GSX review too.. "the not so updated ones.." We'd still love to watch.. ❤️
It’s been some time since there has been a 1000cc test without a Japanese contender.
And that is something that’s more exciting than it seems to have been in a couple of years.
Interestingly, the V4 is the only bike with counter rotating crank shaft (as far as I know), yet labeled as the slowest to steer.
@m stegs - hahaha right. Next next year the same words would be use for the Next big bike and the BMW will be the slow and heavier bike of the bunch and push back the line like Ducati was this year.
Have to admit I’m bummed out you’re not doing the entire fleet comparison like you did in 2017. There are enough new bikes in the mix it’d be a great video!
Was thinking the same, but suppose these three are so far ahead now maybe not worth including R1M, Fireblade GSXR etc...
J Niv for sure. I think they’re likely ahead of the pack but it’s always fun to hear the strengths/weaknesses when directly compared :)
@@Utahforrest They're not ahead of the pack. They might accelerate slightly faster, but lap times won't be that different and the GSX-R1000R and the Fireblade SP are a lot better as road bikes (ergos, reliability, etc).
João Soares for sure. Whoever does the full shootout will win in view count that’s for sure ;)
What a greatly respected tester and presenter neeves is. Great video
This was a really nice comprehensive comparison video.
The fact that the S1KRR will ALWAYS get you home is THE reason it should win by default IMO.....
UK Citizen it’s gonna breakdown on the way home. Japanese bikes for the win
Love my 2018 test rode the new one maybe in a couple of years but not yet , cheers neevsy
Mr.Michael Neeves, compared hayes brakes to brembo and marzocchi to sachs.do you think bmw made the right choice ? do you think the suspensions and the braked are better from the old model >? thanks
Top quality vid thanks MCN. Bavarian brawn and smarts came out on top it seems.
Great video guys and top notch editing. I currently own a Panigale 1299S and I believe I'm ready to trade in and move on. I'm just not sure whether to purchase to V4S Corse or the 2020 BMW S1000RR M. Thoughts anyone?
Both Amazing.
Get the one who speaks to you.
s1ooorr
Of course it's the Corse
For the road, looks best sounds best
I know man! I want them both! lol
True, but also $5k more and the Akra exhust is another $5K!
Hi I'm living the same like you in UK and I'm the owner of RSV4 19 plate but because of some issues with the bike I just want to step to R1 or S1000rr so what you suggest.
I'll appreciate if you can give me an answer
In 25 hours and... I’m here with popcorn already!
Love the plug for the Tuono at the end of the review. Still the most versatile bike on the planet and at 16-19K USD !
Incredible video. I wish to own a few bikes in the future for sure. SV650 to start, then pick one of these. Next level.
Why would you not use the V4r? The brand new bike that released alongside the NEW Aprilia and the NEW BMW...
I've heard that Ducati have put a blanket ban on comparing the v4r against other bikes on and off track but not sure how true that actually is
The V4R is double the price of these bikes.
If Michael is going to review it sign me up. This man is epic..😍😍
The aprilia looks amazing and so current for 10 years old design
Another no-nonsense, brilliant review from Neeves.
Now we patiently wait for the keyboard warriors, who not only have in-depth knowledge of superbikes, but are also the fastest in the track and road.
Yeah my bro but what about the V4R ?
What a time to be alive! Have the 18 tuono now putting a deposit on the beemer :) best of both worlds
Don Cappo sounds like a plan! I would probably do exactly what you are doing!
Great review! Watching this in Guyana South America! I'm a 98 Fireblade owner and amazing to see how these bikes continue to evolve.
In 21 years even monkeys have evolved
That's everything I needed to know. In more detail than I expected. Thanks guys!
Love your videos for being so informative! Keep going guys!
Comparing these bikes is just like comparing current generation RC213 V vs YZR M1 vs Desmosedici GP 19.
I would really appraciate your choice/advice between the bimmer and the RSV4 1100 for 80% road and 20% track use. Thanks and congrats for your great reviews and channel! Cheers
If 80% road I'd go the old s1000rr, it's still an amazingly capable bike on track.
The BMW-Sounds incredible!!! They all sound epic, he is 100% correct about the Aprilla being the worst for tall people
Aprilia 191.55 HP... 83.43 ft/lbs...457 lbs
BMW 192 hp...80 ft/lbs...436 lbs
Ducati v4R(not S) 184 hp...74 ft/lbs...437 lbs
Same Day Dyno from 650ib
Love the honesty and detail ! Keep them coming
Great review. Didn't seem biased in any way and you guys continue to up your game with better footage and sound. I've had my V4 Panigale for two seasons now and have ridden both of the other bikes you reviewed and it really comes down to character and looks for me. The Ducati still wins for me since I still bust out laughing every time I power wheelie the thing on to the freeway and can't help but look back at it every time I park it :). Keep up the great content!
Long live Superbikes
V4s instead of v4r?
what helmet is that, I don't see it on arai's site
Love the S1K, you can always swap brakes, and setup the ECU! It's the 2JZ of the SuperSport world, it decimates all!
www.bmwhp.com/2020-m-sport-bmw-s1000rr-2020-track-sport-bmw-s1000rr/ you know I can help you
MCN I know you are NOT testing the V4r because of price in comparison to the bmw and aprilia. But let's get real here the Ducati v4r is the G. O. A. T. I would have liked to see ducati top spec against bmw and aprilia top spec which u have here.
Ducati won't allow the v4r to be in any of these comparison tests
Why dod you emphasise bmw is not the fastest, when difference to Aprilia is 0.003s
And BMW has smallest engine out of 3..
Bozi Miletic yet it’s actually the most powerful
How’s the Aprillia a small bike when it’s the tallest out there ?
Very thorough explanations covering a lot of issues, thank you.
Can a expect a drag race at last...😍😍😍😍
The s1000rr is on the optional carbon wheels which is a nice option that only bmw offers. How much do those carbon wheel account for the agility and fast laptime of the s1000rr do you think?
Carbon fiber wheels are trinkets? Wonder how much that upgrade package costs... Do all the new Aprilia Tuonos come with all that carbon fiber?
Any answer would be good - best japanese 600cc supersport bike 2010 and earlier?
Truly excellent review, well done sir!
They are all just different flavours of amazing. There's so many great bikes around these days, I wish I could own them all and have homes next door to Oulton Park, Silverstone and Jerez 😉
