We all see ourselves in that twisted black abyss sooner or later. To turn it, to frame it, to change the PARADIGM so that it's a joke, it's positive, it's JOY...that's delivering a message to the people. That's letting everyone know that there's still hope out there. That. Is. Marketing.
I remember my mom used to talk about this idea when I was a kid. She stated the future of ads was gonna be like trying to give your brand personality, and more of a feeling, so that whenever you thought of the brand, you had that ooey gooey feeling. I think Daniel pink was the guy she was quoting
Toyota should have done a historical ad, where it flashes through great people in Japanese history and just has them driving a Toyota into battle. They could have Minamoto no Yoshitsune driving into battle with his Toyota Corolla, Prince Shotoku meditating in his Prius, Oda Nobunaga swiftly committing seppuku in his GR Supra, and some random Japanese businessman watching hentai while driving his Toyota Mirai.
You either die a Ludwig fan or live long enough to become an Atrioc fan. This is an original joke that just came to me while watching this video, it’s crazy.
I meean, the company's name IS "Omega". They better patent that watch design before it's too late. Also, the irony of the best olympic ad ever not officially being an olympic ad...
That half Omegalul, half Omega scene truly made that commercial go from great to a masterpiece, thank you Quack for elevating cinematography to new heights
That omegalul watch parallel was so awe inspiring and so deep. The watch and laughing emote sort of shows how we have limited time to be young/ energetic and how all our happiest moments are clouded by the fact that in time they will end. But that’s sort of the beauty of it, we know we don’t have much time in life. So we make as much use of the little time we have, Laughing our way through it all. Truly amazing, thank you Quack, for opening my eyes.
I saw that first Toyota ad more time than I can count the past two weeks and I never even noticed the olympics banner in the background. No way that was worth 100mil
That last shot with the OMEGALUL emote was so fucking powerful, I showed it to my family and they all cried because of how beautiful it was. We all bought an Omega watch after that
Wasn't so sure about the quality of this video, but after seeing Quack's edit, I can confidently say this will be Atrioc's most viewed video. Thank you Quack, you're doing god's work.
The insurance company Allianz Switzerland did this nice commercial: The CEO used to be a Olympic pole vaulter and so is his daughter right now. They bring her in for what she thinks is a normal shooting, but then her dad enters in his old Olympic dress and his old pole. She just starts cracking down and they share a nice moment which I thought was very human and real.
It‘s also very meta about her being insecure at first about being the face of this campaign. And then it ends with them „trying“ to have a scripted conversation in the studio and just not being able to, because she can‘t keep a straight face.
After watching quacks powerful, stunning and life changing edit of the Omega ad, I immediately went out and bought an Omega watch for not only myself, but also my dad, brother, and favorite steamer. Be watching the mail Big A. It’s going to have Omegalul engraved tastefully upon its backing. Truly a magnificent ode to Japan.
I had no idea the olympics were happening untill a couple days ago when a friend was watching it on his phone and i asked him what he was watching, maybe i didn't know about it because i haven't gone outside in 7 years but i feel like the olympics have always been this world wide event everyone watched or at least followed, and it wasn't that this year
Athletic Interest made a great video on that nike ambush marketing campaign. Super interesting channel and the dude has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.
I shed real tears when the watch was put next to the Omegalul. This is something I think Philosophers will be talking about for years to come. How something can be so classy so suave, and yet say hey kid don't take life so seriously there's no way you are getting out alive. A real masterclass in Add's. Thank you Quack
Hey big I liked how dre headphones gave a bunch of olympians headphones that one year and whenever an athlete was seen at the olympics they were usually seen wearing them
How does he make a video about the olympics AND play a copyrighted song in the outro and expect to step away from this video without channel termination. This is the brazen Atrioc gambit I watch for.
Atrioc, do you think the quality of the Olympics has decreased since it's transition from country sponsored to brand sponsored? Less ability for countries to "get around" it with so many legal barriers now? Asking because you obviously were around for the first couple in the 1900s
The viewership being down in the Olympics has nothing to do with whatever peacock is, its because basically no one in Europe can watch it because its all at like 4 am. The US isn't the world.
4:30 this reminded me, highschool i had a classmate terminally ill, (they brought a tv screen and a cart so he could attend and hang out) being pushed around and whilst that stuff didnt really happen he was there, pretty much like that (tho dressed up and just a head )
As a watch nerd i am disappointed that Omega didn't integrate their chronograph watches (with a stopwatch feature) timing Olympic events (or training) , it feels like a missed opportunity.
Quack that edit at the end Changed my life it gave me the courage to get back with my ex wife and our 2 kids and after that I found myself a job at nividia as mr glizzy-hands boss and now I’m making him give you the raise you deserve EZ clap
I think a lot of the Olympics missing viewership is because of both the original one being canceled and also the fact that waaaayyyyy less people have cable now
Last month I went into anaphylactic shock from an allergic reaction and almost died, everything I thought I knew and everything I believed in meant nothing as I felt my life fading, but the joy I felt when I could finally breathe again and knew I would live is nothing compared to the joy I felt seeing that OMEGALUL watch. Thank you for making a difference in all of our lives.
Day 1 of asking for a Marketing Monday informercial edition. Where atrioc reviews informercials and informercialists and talks about what makes a good/bad informercial. Why Vince Offer or Bill Mays is the best informercialist. But just anything about informercials.
I didn't watch much of the olympics so I'm just gonna binge through all of judo since that's the only sport I actively did for years right up until covid started
