SCX10 iii Early Bronco Transformation!

- In this video I overhaul the exterior appearance of the Axial SCX10 iii early Ford Bronco. After being inspired by a restomod 1972 Bronco I found online, I had to take action. The result is a newly painted and slightly upgraded early bronco. After the upgrades, I hit the rocks and the trails to see the truck in action. Enjoy!

That yellow is the color that it calls for to paint the TA RC/10 gold pan. Which is a super cool color

Love the look! Black wheels rock. Lower the shocks to the link mount location and add a rear Reefs sway bar. This truck is very stable with a few mods.

Yes have to admit the black rims look good out there on The rocks, really like the end climbing up that rock and there was the American flag that was awesome. Well we’ll catch you on the next one until then peace and chicken grease 😁👍👍😎

Orange isn't my color but that looks great. Now you have my wheels turning on a new paint scheme for my Bronco. The black wheels look way better IMO.

Silver for sure in my opinion! Get the reefs rc sway bar kit and fine laser designs clipless body mount to attatch it. I would try that before adding weight. Should get rid of the “jeep wave”

Love the black wheels and ko2’s. I think I’m going to have to steal this idea! What have you done to the chassis? I lowered the shocks down to the links and added 60 weight oil in the chocks. It really helped the performance.
Well, question answered... Was wondering if you were going to paint the body (original) This turned out AWESOME!! I kinda gave up on finding a Bronco ll body - then Horizon had the sale on these (as everyone knows) and I plan on getting another body and doing it in a tan with a brown stripe, like the ll my Grandfather then I had. Those silver wheels, would look a lot better if they had a hole or a red stripe to simulate the lock for the 4X4.
Love the body. Probably my favorite Axial body. However, I don't like going the extra mile by placing a scale driver figure in it and running it. Reminds me of the movie Weekend At Bernies. As a shelf queen? Yes. But not running it. 😁

I have the same silver wheels on my early bronco,but when I put the black wheels on from my trx4 2021 bronco it just looks mean.
I love those silver wheels but it's hard to beat the black combo!

Fair RC is where I go for my replacement parts. The aftermarket is very limited for these unfortunately

Tbis comment doesnt relate to the bronco. But whats your opinion on taking foams out of the mini crawler tires and running them none vented ?
It depends on the tire. Big tires I like to run some sort of insert because they get floppy otherwise. But smaller tires you can run that setup and it works well!

Is that lighter than the oem bronco body?
I don't think so. It doesn't utilize some of the chassis rails so it may be slightly lighter (maybe 50g).

I ended up sticking with the black and removing the spare. I like it although the back looks a bit naked now!
Leave the black wheels!! U dont want the silver ones because u dont have any other silver or chrome on the truck! All black and yellow!!!!!!!! Pull the spare out. That just adds weight to the back of the truck that u don't need. BLACK RIMS!!!!
