So, I went to Digitally Purposed and looked at your offerings, but I don't really see any "training for digital creation" - e.g. the platform(s) you use to create, how you maneuver, sizing for products, etc. If I missed the training on Digitally Purposed, may I ask you to provide the name of the area I should review/register?

Hi! Great video as always. Thank have a question about hybrid shop-I think you’re the only one talking about this-I’m seeing physical products on Etsy that also offer the digital design. For example, a tshirt with graphic and then the graphic itself is sold in the same listing as a digital file. Cool also bc it makes the list price lower. Right now I have a lot of total solar eclipse shirts listed and have had a few people inquire about buying the design as a png/svg. I don’t sell much as I’m new so a big part of me feels like if I should list the digital file as well bc at least if I sell a few it’s better than nothing. However, the licensed artist in me says no way. Idk what to do. I need income.😅 since the designs are not evergreen maybe I should and if so when? Now or in a week or two closer to the event? TIA. And thanks for all you do to help us wrap our heads around this thing called POD.
You could definitely offer them as well, and they may end up taking off and you find yourself with more of a digital shop than a POD like I did :) I understand it's hard to start new shops these days with the Etsy rules/bots so I've been actually do the same thing with some of mine :) Designs are usually needed in advance of an event so we always have ours up say 60-90 days in advance of say Halloween for example!

Welcome! Etsy is 10K and so minus their fees, for digital is about 93% profit margins

Great progress through all of the business models. Few will go to all of the effort to get there. The only thing I would have for advice is to get a better mic for the videos. The audio was over-driven throughout the full length. Just some audio balancing with a better mic could greatly improve the experience. I am definitely not knocking the content. I enjoyed the video. This is a suggestion for improvement or constructive criticism.

You're welcome! My course is about building a profitable digital product on Etsy and is still where I suggest everyone start out at with digital products because it is the most cost effective. With my new products and Shopify/TikTok, it is only physical products which is why I don't want funds being held, etc. because I'm carrying a lot of inventory:) So it's just a different situation with digital products.
My course does not go into TikTok for digital products. :)

I've personally designed everything until this year...I now have contract help from time to time if I'm busy with other things, but it's about 50/50:)
I started selling digital files and I am using Google drive but some of my clients have problems downloading files. What or how do you recommend to store files so people can download with no problems, thank you for your help

It seems that the real biz value is her ability to market her cup design on tiktok. Key is how to make that viral to get orders. Otherwise you just get bunch of designs. How do you market your offer, u mentioned ads. So we're those sales profitable? Like amz, often you are net loss before ads turn profitable, if they do. So you are expert in email marketing your products on your specialized list. Means you know how to inbox and captured emails from your Etsy orders. How much time do you spend on tiktok videos?
Hmm. Interesting. I would never imagine that there are tons of people who pay for designs on a sort of bottle. Can someone tell me what's the point, why would someone buy this? What are they going to do with it? Is it easy to paint on those bottles?

I have tried TH-cam, low content books, candles, jewelry, books, digital products, classes... and find none of them have picked up. I need to find something since I no longer have a driver's license. I am focusing on digital products since I live in such a small space so don't have storage room and can no longer get to the post office to ship items. I am running into trouble with how to get noticed / marketing. Suggestions for how to get started? What techniques have you found worked well? thank you

@digitallypurposedbailey I just watched this video and it is the first I have seen of your videos. I will be checking out many more. Watching someone talk about the nuts and bolts of running a business focused on selling actual products that are not training courses (even though you have made training materials available) has vastly more value than someone who used to sell products online but now concentrates just on training others.
I am presuming that the "$65,000/month" figure represents gross revenue (or sales).
If possible, can you share what your approximate net profit and profit margin are, as well as approximately how much out of that $65,000 the business owner manages to pay to herself?
Since my Etsy shop and membership site are all organic, it's about a 85% profit margin after fees and software. My 'coursemunity' sales are also from organic content, so that sits at about 91%. These are all gross amounts without taxes of course, but I really don't spend anything other than in transaction fees and software costs and one part time VA.
I would like a course specific to creating a membership site. Do you have a course with step by step membership sites?

I have a full-time VA for (listing, mockups, social media posting, content posting, Pinterest marketing, uploading, etc) and also a part time video editor. From time to time, I also contract out graphic design work if busy :)
Is the step by step way to do something like this mentioned in your course?
Can you share more about your website? Did you use a template on a platform?
I used Wix, but am looking at a new platform that may work better. If it works out after testing, I'll be making a video about it!

Why would someone pay for a membership when the same designs are on Etsy? Does your digital course offer a money back guarantee and does it include information about memberships? Thank you!
The people who purchase a membership do not want to buy designs individually on Etsy as they purchase many because they are running their own physical products business, so it's much more cost effective for them.
I do have a 7 day guarantee, but it is based on the amount of content consumed, the info is on my site under the Refund Policy. I do have a tutorial on how I've set up my membership and plan to add more in the future after testing a new site that has come out that makes it much easier.

This is great information but a little overwhelming. I’m not a digital native, do not want to go on camera to hawk my products, and really just want a simple way to pad my income and savings in my spare time as I inch toward retirement age. You seem like a straight shooter, so is your course beginner friendly, and is the mythical $10,000+ per month feasible without creating a course on how to make $10000 per month? Thx.
I guess I don't understand the whole digital art stuff. Do you design all of these yourself, post them out there somewhere and then people buy that design? What site/software do you need to design stuff like this? Congratulations to you for such a successful business :)
Yes, I use tools like Kittl and Midjourney to design them and they are listed on Etsy and my own site and people buy the designs to make the actual tumblers. Thanks for watching :)
For the Etsy fees- they’re taking that from the sale itself? And not charging my bank for the fees?
Like for example if the item is $7 Etsy will take away money from that $7 the customer paid instead of charging my bank account directly every time someone purchases something.
Just need this clarification cause it’s hard to understand
They take the fee from the listing sale before the profit deposits to you :)
