Bro…in the process of reaching the edge after 15 years of dealing with shitty to mediocre contractors. I finally blew a lid (in the middle of a project now) and decided to always show appreciation for a contractor who has finesse and clearly cares about their craft and the material to achieve great final results. This was awesome to watch, learn, and appreciate t your process. Thanks for sharing cos caring and skillful craftsmen are rare today. Much appreciated.
I did notice that there aren't any provisions for a strike plate to be mounted to the jamb for a door handle. I can see this working with just bars for handles as long as it doesn't require a locking mechanism. So if you do a lock, do you just have to add an external mounting lock like for a bathroom or bedroom
I have installed frameless door already in apartment and door is mounted. Do I need to remove the door better to do the compounding, sanding, painting the wall?
I want to know one thing, did you gave issues getting the outer hinge screw to hit something solid? Meaning was that screw into the drywall and not the stud?
Looks like this would work fine in a new framing application with drywall for my bosses want me to put one in an existing old house with plaster and lath and wainscot on the other side looks like I'm in for a real challenge
I watched this but how do you get one? I tried the web site but that's for contractors. I have a hallway "french" door (two doors - close in the middle) that I would like hidden hinges on.
This particular model requires the hinges to be routed into the framing which would be difficult with metal studs (not impossible though). Aside from that, we dont see any reason it wouldn’t 🤔. It might be worth reaching out to EZ concepts and asking which of their products they would recommend for your situation before purchasing anything (they’re not cheap, so you’d want to be sure 👍). Hope that helps
To be completely honest, we wouldn’t recommend installing a system like this on a wall/frame that is severely out of plumb. The fact that there is no casing means that you have very little room for error, or to hide imperfections when it’s finished. Hope that helps
It’s hard to say because there are a LOT of variables that can change the price dramatically (thats why they don’t list price and ask that you request a quote from them). We can tell you that it’s not cheap 😂.
Hi. 21st century here. Somebody didn't get the memo. Perhaps the only way to make a doorframe less sustainable would be to make it out of whale bones and cobalt and ship it from Australia.Definitely a step in the wrong direction. Quite amusing that the opening was sized to fit a standard door size but then had to trim and refinish the door anyway because the metal gimmickry had not been taken into account. It is a good way to force people into buying OTT hinges at crazy prices.

👊😉
I love the clean look of frameles openings. Especially deep set windows.
Pica-Dry pencil! I have used one for the last year. Will never use any other pencils .
Also purchased white”leads” for when I fabricate metal.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi great video just wanted to see if you have done an install but with a 1” reveal between the floor and the wall for a modern look?
We haven’t, but we love that idea 👍❤️
Great video! Does anyone know what is this "all in one " door jamb concept that doesn't have traditional "door stop " called ?

Could this be installed on brick walls?
Really nice, thanks so much for sharing! Are you guys located in Los Angeles?
No we are in Toronto👍
Did you install after flooring or before flooring ?

Is it possible to do it without those steel structures. I don’t have it where I live but I want those doors so badly.
i just took off my trim and taped and mudded the edge of the drywall over to the door frame
Great product, but outrageously priced here in the UK.
They certainly aren’t inexpensive here either- but it is a great product 🤷

It can be tricky, we understand. Reach out to them and they’ll find you a supplier👍
Can you install it on metal studs in condo?

How would this system work with flush baseboard installation?
It’s very complicated, but it can work with some creativity and hard work👍
WOW nice this guys. ive done similar but with plaster.
Very cool!
These are only applicable for drywall?
is what exactly?
No, not necessarily!
How much does the frame cost ?
What is the wall is not even and some part (let's say bottom part for example) needs to be stacked 1/4 or 1/2 inch?

How much it cost to only install a door like that one a dayaris door?
This would be expensive 👍
What brand door was used?
Just a generic solid core slab door from Brenlo here in Toronto
What does the door look like on the other side?
It depends how you finish your walls- but for simplicity’s sake, it looks exactly the same as the front, with a slightly deeper jamb 👍
How much for the whole kit? Like door, hinges, jam?

Can we get them in New Zealand
Does it come with built-in door stop? If not, I'm out!!
Yes, it’s all apart of the jamb👍
Found it!
👍
Let’s see what yall can do with French doors
But…how does a hinge work!!lol
Funny how all the minimalist designs require more money and more skill to do.
😂👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovements at least most of them can be changed easy enough with trim when it goes out of style.

Painting metal jambs? Nope
How can a true carpenter work with gloves, I have been a carpenter for over 50 yrs , real woodworkers do not wear gloves

You are so welcome!
How much did the door frame cost?
They aren’t cheap. This was given to us as promo for the video, so we can’t really say
