These are really beautiful fish. I don't think I've seen them anywhere before. They look like they would make really good dither fish to get other fish out and about more.
Like I said in the comments under the hillstream tank: I can't get over the colours of the Rainbow shiners. The longer you look, the more colour you see. I am losing track of how many tanks you've got up and running. 😅I'd like a bazzilion tanks because I like all kinds of fish, but I'm afraid I'd run out of time with the upkeep of them and still enjoy them. Keep it up. 👍
I think when I have all of them running I will have around 33; probably at the end of 2023 / beginning of 2024. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am running out of space.
I dont get the point why u mention 8 months old soil what u put in the pots... its dry means all benificial bacterias are already dead...or please clarify But i like ur vods and the setup looks nice ♥
Just wanted to say that the soil is not new. It means that it won't leach any extra nutrients like a new soil usually does. Also it is not nutrient rich like new soil usually is.
Some plants work better in aquasoils that have a lower nutrient levels after age and use. I'm pretty sure (UG) Utricularia Graminifolia is one of them. Plus you don't get as many problems in new tanks with older soil with less nutrients to release into the water. It's always handy to have a nice stack of old soil laying around for situations like this.
