I've been captivated by the videos I've seen on tiktok over the last week, and more than a little jealous. I live in Connecticut and didn't manage to see them, but my friend in South Carolina did. It's one of those bucket list experiences

I probably won't be at my 2-per month pace but I definitely feel like I won't be disappearing for months at a time again! I love doing this.

    Fantastic video
Saw your fireball meteor with Aurora on Spaceweather gallery a while back. During the 23rd/24th March G4, I saw pillars from south of UK.

That was a wonderful show! That's the day I got the Colorado timelapse as well. And great eye spotting that on the spaceweather gallery and recognizing it!

The only time I've ever seen them directly over head was in Litchfield, MI in Spring or Summer 2000. My friends never seen the northern lights before, I had them convinced there was something in space sucking up all the energy from Earth.

I was in the works of planning a big trip to Fairbanks, Alaska for about a week or so to spend time watching, and photographing the lights.
But I got sick around the time I was planning to go, so alas I couldn't get out there like I wanted.
Still wanting to go, but I'm gonna wait for the better times to go.
I've never been up that far north, what recommendations do you have?
Places to stay, eat, etc. Any and everything you think that's worth while. 😁
    Thanks for the great video!

Thank you! Honestly I recommend finding an Airbnb with the best view of the northern sky you can find that isn’t also right in town. North Pole has great options. So does Clear. I haven’t ate at many restaurants in town but there’s a breakfast place called “hometown” there that’s simply the best breakfast on earth! Take the night flights in and out of town, sit on the right side of the plane getting there and the left going home. For all other things you need to know. I got you covered here: m.th-cam.com/video/U44rzh7aho8/w-d-xo.html
