I think they have different applications. The go color 7 is "just" for reading books and its design has portability in mind, the others have more features. It depends of what you want. For instance, portability is a big deal for me, for not taking I have a tablet. I'm trying to buy a boox go cokor 7, not so easy in Latin America.

the Go Color 7 is water resistant, the Tab Mini isn’t. They are different devices. The Go Color 7 can replace a Kindle (smaller, more robust, just throw in a bag, read at the beach), the Tab Mini cannot.

I wanted a device to read comics, mangas, and take notes. Tab Mini C fits my needs the best and I am happy with my purchase so far. For devices with this screen size and bigger, I'd always want to keep the option to write notes.

My dream android reader only device (which is what I want) would be a BOOX Colour Go 7.8 with BSR. It’d be the same size as paperback Manga and have less ghosting. Of course it’d be heavier which sucks and would have much worse battery life which also sucks but give me this device for $50 more than the Colour 7 and I’ll try and stuff cash through the screen to buy it as fast as I could.
That said I’m learning to live with refresh on every page change to deal with ghosting and if it’s still in a ghosted state I’ve set up one of the button long presses to do a full refresh.
Of the 2 features I’d take 7.8” for proper scaling over BSR.
I’d almost hate for them to come out with it now that I’ve bought the Colour 7 but if they did I’d try and sell imy Colour 7 for what I could recover then but the Colour 7.8.
It kind of stuns me that no one has made a device like this - they’d own the Manga eink market imo.
Maybe when we get Kalido 3…
