This has been done before. The Coleman Peak 1 Max Xpedition 2 burner. It was discontinued long ago but I’ve seen them on eBay. They are very durable…still using mine and I love it!! Additionally, it is rated at 10,000 btu per burner.
Beat me to it, commented and then saw yours. LOL Glad I am not the only person here that knows old outdoor gear. ;) It's the "COLEMAN 9730-725" model btw.
@@barrettfloyd535 yeah the adapters seem to have a production run every couple years. Most of the time everybody is out of stock. There are a couple forums where people show how an adapter can be custom-made out of readily available components. I was lucky enough to snag an adapter years ago.
I was going to say the same thing, I have the Coleman Powermax Xpedition 9730-725 that I changed the fuel lines and valve to work with the lindal valve canisters. Love this stove, would probably last at least 50 years, built like a tank.
Ordered one right after this video dropped and it arrived yesterday. Gave it a quick try at home and it seems to be pretty well constructed, very small and lightweight for being a dual burner while still burning nice and strong. Definitely going to bring it on my next car camping trip and give it a real try, thanks for showing me!
For car camping & overlanding, nothing is going to beat the classic Coleman Camp Stove. These are still used all around the world today, they've been building them for 50-years at this point. They can run on gasoline, white gas, & with an adapter (generator assembly), propane (large & 1-lb bottles). It's actually possible to run Kerosene & Diesel as well, with additional setup.
As mentioned, parts are abundant and still in production. You can find 'used' stoves locally for $10 - $30. I've picked up brand-new stoves, still in the box for $20. They now retail for $200 or more.
I agree they are great products, but they still take up a lot of space for what they do. This stove might not be perfect but it's definitely an example of what else is possible. I've ordered one to try it out.
@@perkypat2214 That's great, hope it works for you! I just don't see anyone serious in the overlanding / off-roading community (vehicle camping) using these types of stoves, although I respect TOGR's opinion in regards to Japanese quality. I just had to have one. So I just bought it. I am a solo female that loves great products. I watch you all the time. I have purchased many products you show. Thanks so much for sharing all of your great products.

I've been looking for a double burner stove that takes iso butane, and weighs under 5lbs for 2 years now. I do group backpacking and canoe trips, and this is literally the grail for that purpose. Heat is great because I always keep my stoves on low to cook (and not burn). I'm amazed that this exists now. It's completed my kitchen set.
You convinced me, ordered off amazon for $60. I have several 2 burner stoves but none are this light weight and compact when stowed. I think it will be perfect for cooking on my bronco tailgate table.
I have their BRS-3000T and was certainly impressed (although my favorite isobutane stove is the Snowpeak Litemax). This stove you reviewed looks incredible, especially for price. Gonna have to buy me one.
Was there any particular reason why you did not set the unit up as per the instructions? The hinged sections are supposed to be straight when it is fully extended, and not in a V formation. Looks like an interesting unit to use, the multifuel idea is a really good idea.
Can't speak for the host but I have that 'how hard can it be?' attitude. Allows me to overcome my fears and buy/assemble things like the Thule raised rail and wingback system. Yeah, I went back to the instructions later
I might have missed this original posting. That being said, it is so nice seeing people thinking outside the box. I do admit I bought their brs burner when my beloved pocket rocket went to the happy hunting grounds. I was looking for something even better...enter my latest love, Soto windmaster. Fits all my needs and four prongs for added stability. Being a cycle tourists im not lugging around anything huge. But for closer to home excursions and car camping. This looks awesome!😎. Those little piso ignoters always first things take a poop anyway 🔥
Wow that's interesting! Your right about it being unique. I'm saving up for that. Anything I buy now will have to have the smallest form factor when either put away or in use. This will work very well for me. Thank Pete for sharing this with us. Take care Luke!
I keep a Coleman Triton 2-Burner Propane Camping Stove ($70) in my truck w/ 5 cans of fuel, The lid and sides act as wind breakers when open and it closes flat. It also has an adapter for a propane tank.
I like it, I also like the Naturehike double burner, but in the end I went for one that can stand up on 4 feet, simply because it will make it easy to put utensils, plates or whatever beneath it. A double burner is always going to be for car camping after all, so there are limited benefits to small size. Reliable control over the heat output, built-in ignition that works and space below it made a larger unit so much more useful for me. Then again I have a foldaway kitchen thing and a pickup truck. I guess if I were putting everything into one box, or had a smaller vehicle then it would be better but I cannot help but view it as a solution in search of a problem.
The biggest problem I have with this stove is the concentrated flame size. If you are using a larger fry pan, the heat will be concentrated directly over the flame and not reach the sides.
I always enjoy your videos. That is a cool stove however I want to caution folks when using a stove like this with no bottom and when using a griddle or similar large cooking surface as heat can be deflected downwards. The deflected heat could cause the surface below to melt or burn, like a picnic table. I speak from experience when an polyethylene canoe was turned upside down to use as a table and on top was a classic Coleman white gas 2-burner stove which even has a metal bottom for added protection. Dinner at night with regular pots and pans went well. Breakfast the next day was with a griddle which almost melted a hole completely through the canoe. Luckily the canoe did not leak on the paddle out but it needed serious repairs afterwards. Again, the problem is only when deflecting heat downwards and precautions can be taken to avoid problems when using a stove like this.
Just by the stove being able to have adapters to run on any type of camp fuel gas propane that we can get is awesome everybody should have one of these I'm getting one thank you for the video love the stove man really do I'm a big camper and Outdoors or I love cooking when I go fishing and hunting
I have had a BRS3000T for about 5 years which has been a great backpacking and bikepacking stove. If this performs half as well and is as durable it sounds like a great unit for the vehicle trips. Now to wait fir it to come back in stock😅
VERY impressed! I've watched other reviews you've done, and also been impressed with your candor. That little lighter's a "must have" though (so we ordered that, the stove, and the propane adapter). Thanks for sharing your impressions on these things!
It certainly is a cool idea, but the coleman two burner stove will still be my go-to because of the larger cooking area, better flame spread, better wind guard, better flame control knobs. I have put an 11" and 12" pan on my coleman, which gives me tons of space, and I just don't see this doing that. I paired my coleman with a 5 lb mini refillable propane tank, and it's a perfect car camping system for me. I think adapting this stove to the propane tank, while doable, would be awkward due to the flame control knobs being located on the tank attachment point. I can see the major benefits to this are the weight and space savings when hauling gear in the car, but even with that, I don't see this being as usable as to justify it. I'm partially typing this to give my thoughts, but also to talk myself out of getting one lol.
if it attaches the same way as the other fuel cannister what is the problem (maybe i'm not seeing it right???) screws on top fuel ajustment to the side still please let my see what i can not???
I have two of the BRS backpacking stoves and it’s a great light weight stove. I am UL backpacker and it’s all about the weight for me. I have other stoves, MSR, Soto etc and the BRS is my go to unit because it’s so light. No issues.
With 6,000 BTUs you'll probably have to still cook in small batches if your cooking for a group. You'll have to wait for pan to heat up to get a proper sear on meat. Propane would definitely run better on that. I love the design though, I want to order one now.
Hi there I greatly enjoy your videos and think you do a great job at reviewing gear and equipment. I've seen some of your videos on stoves you test how long it takes to boil water but on some you don't, I think making that a standard test for these types of videos would be a great idea.
Really cool stove. For 60 bucks I will throw it in my car. My grandfather built a small cabinet for his 1957 chevy station wagon for camping trips n picnics. Nearly 70 years later it's still put to use in my honda pilot for camping outings or just a shtf moment. Who'd a thought that lol?
Very cool. I would love to see it in a variation that is a combo pack/kit of 2 individual folding stoves that have option for single or dual/combined use such as a little stand/leg and gas line clip (although the carry case would be difficult to may modular to take as single or dual set, perhaps a slide in clio between 2 cases). Wonderful product intro and definitely a combo of budget friendly with surprisingly good functional performance. I would need to look for a good externally windscreen/baffle as I also would want that to act as a grease guard for spatters in addition to wind/drafts.
I don't know bro, the low Btu's and gimmicky form factor makes this a no go for me. For car or truck camping, a more robust stove like Coleman, Camp Chef ETC., makes more sense, yeah they're more expensive but built like a tank and have twice the Btu's. Your review is much appreciated though👍👍

$65 for a double burner camp stove is not bad at all. But I got my double burner Colman camp stove for $35, still looks brand new and came with all the paper work. Found it at a pawn shop, no dints scratches, nor did it look like it had ever been lite once.
Luke, do you think this could manage to hold one of those large, rectangular cast iron griddles? That'd be an appealing option as that's how my family likes to cook outdoors. Cheers!

Adapter for Butane or Propane? both can fit in the case and stove together.
his stove has a lot going for it, best of all is the variety of fuels & adjustability of flame.
Since it is not a hiking stove, it could have full wind resistance ability. And non bendy materials. Rubber tips on legs. Still, not bad.

When you've boiled ur water , the space between the burners will support the readymeal packet when you fill it.

the wind screen is supposed to pop out...the angled ones

I've put a 10" cast Iron pan on one side before with enough room for a 9 cup stainless Stansport coffer percolator on the other burner.
So, they could supply two seperate stoves with the same gas lines in a similar zipped box then I could use two large pans at the same time?
