I found your channel after 13 years and I have learned a lot which I couldn't find anywhere else. Thank you for making these and keeping the channel up!
Awesome stuff, been watching all day (While watching NHL, EPL and LAX). At point 4:10 You are talking about the last input (Jab, Short, Fierce) but you say Jab STRONG Fierce. Pardon my exacting Critique, though I expect no less from you were you to be playing or training me. Thanks for introducing me to short cut/buffer Demons!
This tutorial was really informative. I hardly ever use the super demon myself however, because Akuma's EX moves normally prevent my meter from filling up.
Sometimes, i do a tick crossup super. I cross up the OP with a throw buffer (throw, throw, forward direction), and when you do a throw in the air, the light kick gonna came out, so you will hit him with that at the other side, and you finish the super input while landing, and there... when he comes out from the stun, he gets a super in the face :D
@TubeKnow Hold focus, dash, then release focus. Practice this timing, if you release the buttons before you dash, you will get the focus attack itself.
I've never liked fight pads, but as of lately I've been considering getting one because after I reached G1-C, I realized that some characters really need an arcade stick in order for me to be able to pull off certain combos consistently like Gen's Mk,hands, and other characters like Honda and Cammy. Some hard trials seam impossible with the pad. But if I get an arcade stick, it will have to be wireless, so the official Tekken 6 one is high on my list.
I use Fraps to record the PC version of Street Fighter IV, as seen here (1280x720, 60fps). I'm using a Madcatz Fightstick SE modded with Sanwa parts, the artwork has been removed.
I use Adobe After Effects CS4 for the fancy editing, and then the final cut is done in Sony Vegas. I do have to reduce the model quality to medium to record steady frames in fraps, but I do sort of like the clean look to them despite that.
What are you using to edit these videos? I love the style. Do you have to reduce the graphics in order for fraps to work better or you like the game more like that?
@Zwietracht if you're trying to grab in block or hit stun it won't work, a demon is a throw so it won't work either. You probably just fell asleep at the wheel.
The motion has always been called the tiger knee motion, since originally that's how you had to perform a tiger knee with sagat. if you hear about TK'ing, realize that they're talking about that and not a DP motion.
Great commentary and video quality. May I ask what you use to record your gameplay? Also what type of arcade stick are you using? Keep up the great work~
Hey - I know I'm a little late to the party. I didn't really start playing SF4 until SSF4. I decided to play Akuma lately, and kara demons has been giving me some real trouble. Should I learn to do it the double tap way or will it be better to learn it the plink way? I mean if I ever want to play 3s or something (doubt it) I'd probably want to learn to double tap, right?
@lordofultima I got a question for you. Akuma is my Main and im using a standard 360 controller. I have my Y button set on all 3 punch buttons. So all i gotta do is: hold back, press Y and Hard Kick? How exactly does this work for me?
is it possible to do moves like itabashi slayer and the other special techniques mentioned in this clip with a regular ps3 controller or do i need the joystick controller you have?
Wow... great work man. i sucked in a lot of raging demons like in the video with Ryu :D I'm playing with a keyboard but man... i have to buy on of those arcade sticks :D
What exactly is the input for plinking demon? I mean exactly, because Im not that familiar with plinking? Is it LP~MP~HP with a frame inbetween each button, starting with LP, did I get that right? and it will registers as two LP?
Isn't there supposed to be a setup where hitstun is so long that you can't jump out of a RD? I can't remember but I once got resetted with hp so that I couldn't jump out and got RD'd. Was I just sleeping or is it really possible to set up a guaranteed Raging Demon like that? (I mean the ultra, not the super)
Is there a simple cheat for the raging demon where that you can use in Mugen? It inputs all those different button requirements entered and is compressed into 1 keyboard button like when you run a macro in an excel spreadsheet? 1 button = Raging demon. Save time, save effort. It will also enable Akuma to take on bigger bosses like Superman and Ironman.
you my friend, are what i hope to be. I watched this video like 200000 times already(impossible but you get what i mean). When I buy a stick, do you mind teaching me some stick drills, so i can practice to get up to that level.
you could link the raging demon into another demon for a terrible humilation, anti-air ultra demon which ever way as long as it hits, if you have the super meter full, once the ultra is over immediately jump over them and do the super demon, its point blank and they cant do anything totals to over 900
And by the way, these inputs work perfectly (70% of the time ;) on the controller, I'm able to do it by buffering [directional input of choice, f, b, df, or db]+Lp+PPP+Lk
Yeah, you can sometimes trade or beat them, you can get air-to-aired, but also beat them out, depends on the timing. But like lordofultima said, just doing it raw is not a good idea, rather in windows where they dont have time to antiair, or where you would land and flip through when they do a DP. the palm can be really strong, good priority, indeed incredibly good for an airattack.
akuma and seth have the most offensive options thats why they have the leesthp................................. 850 for akuma i belive and 800 for seth.. something like that.. if they had any more they would be broken
I found your channel after 13 years and I have learned a lot which I couldn't find anywhere else. Thank you for making these and keeping the channel up!
Glad I could help!
LP (light punch) = Jab
MP (medium punch) = Strong
HP (hard punch) = Fierce
LK (light kick) = Short
MK (medium kick) = Forward
HK (hard kick) = Roundhouse
Best akuma tutorial videos on youtube.
This guy's a master.

Thanks for introducing me to short cut/buffer Demons!
thanks ultima. mastered this technique pretty much in an hour. your a god :)
Your vids are awesome-surprised I didn't find them back then, Thanks!
This tutorial was really informative. I hardly ever use the super demon myself however, because Akuma's EX moves normally prevent my meter from filling up.
Nice video man. Question. In a mirror match when two Akuma's do the Raging Demon, Which one goes through? Does it matter which is first or not?
Lots of great mixups to practice, ty man. Hopefully I can surprise my bro with a couple of these. ;)
Love it at the end where after akuma misses the demon he just stares at sagat like a baby :)

@wasd88 Still works, they have landing recovery so there can be no dp mashing if you low forward demon at the proper space.
@daniel72arch I recommend the Madcatz TE. That's the only stick I would recommend, cheap stuff is cheap for a reason.
you ever thought about taking your akuma to evo?
@Ammaculate44 Right, as I said the only way to combo into Demon is Focus Attack. Fireball, Focus Attack would fall under that.
I've never liked fight pads, but as of lately I've been considering getting one because after I reached G1-C, I realized that some characters really need an arcade stick in order for me to be able to pull off certain combos consistently like Gen's Mk,hands, and other characters like Honda and Cammy. Whats a Sushi demon? 8:50
Yep, thought about it -- I should work on taking it to local tourneys before that, though.
I use Adobe After Effects CS4 for the fancy editing, and then the final cut is done in Sony Vegas.
I do have to reduce the model quality to medium to record steady frames in fraps, but I do sort of like the clean look to them despite that.
Lol I know this is SUPER late but what is that trick you do at 8:43 ?!?
yes, they're in hit stun/recovery from the crouching lp.
What are you using to edit these videos? I love the style.

great video man, thanks for the tips. Can't wait to live the nightmare trying to recreate these buffers on the X360 controller, I'm a pad user.
Yeah there's a couple things I should note but I hate youtube annotations and I hate going back and editing this even more.
you are more than a man you are like a god of fighting!
Great commentary and video quality. May I ask what you use to record your gameplay? Also what type of arcade stick are you using? Keep up the great work~

you should note cMK drops your hitbox back as well sometimes catching ambiguous cross-ups and putting them in front of you.
@lordofultima

Isn't Sagats Tiger Knee done with a DP motion? I'm guessing you meant Fei Longs chicken wing motion?
I'm new with street fighter how did you do all those moves like the raging demon with out movie
Isn't there supposed to be a setup where hitstun is so long that you can't jump out of a RD? I can't remember but I once got resetted with hp so that I couldn't jump out and got RD'd.

I heard that the Ultra's invincibility also allows Gouki to go through projectiles at startup. Can you confirm that?
So if a ryu/akuma/any character with a fireball has you in a block string that you believe is gonna end with a fireball can you raging through it?
ok how do u do these in regular controllers for ps3
help me !
and if u cant tell me how to do it, where do i buy arcade sticks, im from canada

@darkself He already has enough options, if they gave him more options he'd be broken, and more health he'd also be broken.
i luv akuma but he is sooooo easy to get koed... any tips how i can get alot better
I have plenty of those..my xbox is currently dead so you'll have to wait on that front.
This man has my child, Loltima... You need to pay dem bills!
Thanks man. :) This really helped me.
@artixazn Tsuji Demon, walk forward one input magic demon.
fantastic thank you again
what the hell does buffering mean
you could link the raging demon into another demon for a terrible humilation, anti-air ultra demon which ever way as long as it hits, if you have the super meter full, once the ultra is over immediately jump over them and do the super demon, its point blank and they cant do anything totals to over 900
what is suji demon and y is it so hard?

gotta love those fadc into ultras xD
gonna try them online just for the laughs
Ok if I do demon flip palm, what if the anti-air me out of it?
Do demonflips when they aren't anticipating a jump in, same with any jumping attack.
Yeah, you can sometimes trade or beat them, you can get air-to-aired, but also beat them out, depends on the timing. But like lordofultima said, just doing it raw is not a good idea, rather in windows where they dont have time to antiair, or where you would land and flip through when they do a DP. the palm can be really strong, good priority, indeed incredibly good for an airattack.
whats a tsuji demon
I feel like you should do a Air Demon tutorial with Oni.
jab jab forward short fierce in the air.
lordofultima i see you have a professional pad do you play in tournaments?
lol i love that last combo...
Well Madcatz does make fightpads you know.
i liked the costume colors in this game more than super xD
i use a fightpad - this is too difficult : (
Average human reaction time is 0.2 seconds. If you throw anticipation into the mix, you can react faster.
really nice man! @weird stuff: i kinda lol'd! :D
Odd... I got a version of this that lasted 1:27 before refreshing...
LMFAO!!!!! @ "oooooookkaaaayy or whatever he says" LMFAO thanks man
nice editting
lmao "I'm gonna get you. No you're not, bitch. Demon-Demon-Demon."
Akuma should be able to combo into the raging demon
yep. when timed correctly
Btw, great vid!
Balrog says "No escape!".
holy crap blankas ultra does that much just on chip!!
How do these people can work on such small fractions of seconds is beyond me..
LOL at 5:30 .... "DEMON DEEMON DEMOON"
@wildreams tsuji
I completely agree :-B
akuma and seth have the most offensive options
thats why they have the leesthp................................. 850 for akuma i belive and 800 for seth.. something like that.. if they had any more they would be broken
sushi demon?
I shows you how to do it without the movie. watch the veedeo
@ImVeryB2stly it will be too hard, I got a matcatz te stick and its still too hard
because he TAKES SO MUCH DAMAGE almost like seth
PLZ Stop spamming my videos with comments that are completely off-topic Tiger Knee that shit, look it up.
Ha,seems like I am a slowpoke then.
Nope, you can only combo into a raging demon with a lv2/3 focus crumple. The rest is all reactionary punishes.
@juanreyes1212 Rofl I laughed there too so bad.
I know this, but that's not nearly as hilarious is it? It's just like English VO Fuerte, "Apeekapoka!" way cooler than fajita buster.
lol sushi!
no one is
