Colloquial use is not the same as correct use. See also: "That outfit was so amazing I literally died." Then again, colloquial use is part of how language evolves.

Love Hets at the end! Cheeky bugger! See, that's what metal guys are more like. They're just normal guys (&girls) with insecurities and hopes & dreams... that love to muck around and have fun....they are just very in touch with the pain & anger in their lives.
The best thing is to look for what that pain & anger might be about...it's often glaringly obvious. The metalhead is basically encouraging you to take note of their pain..and maybe even do something about it. It can be a cry for help like that. They are not being subtle....and that's for a reason. They want you to finally address their hurts!
But instead of reaching out to the clearly hurting metalhead, you Normals like to either a) be afraid of them, and take a wide berth, or b) laugh at them , mock them. Both result in the Metalhead becoming even further disenfranchised and alienated from the mainstream of society.
So sad. But even a disenfranchised Metalhead is a normal human who mucks about with their friends..
