Great vid thanks! Is it the same yellow wire for both map sensor? (the one on the intake manifold and the one on the charge pipe?) Second question, were the 3-dip switches all put to the 'on' position on that back of the controller? Last question, what settings on the knobs did you start with?
For those using a controller that has a built in map sensor. See description for the P3 boost tap kit.
I will add, the tmap sensor on the intake manifold maxes out at 24.5psi. If you want more precise control above 24.5 use the map sensor on the charge pipe as it can read far into the 30's
Hey there, great video man... What about the scenario you mentioned earlier where the boost pressure spikes with throttle closure ? Wouldn't you spray meth unnecessarily if you tap this sensor?

**To reinstall the interior trim pieces, use your trim removal tools and pry up to pop out the tan colored clips, slide the clips into the plastic interior peice slots then line up with the holes and give a solid smack**

i’m curious it was my understanding that certain bmws don’t have a diverter valve or blow off valve because the valvetronic system makes it so that the gas pedal only opens and closes the actual valves themselves, the throttle body still has a butterfly valve but it’s constantly open and merely acts as a fail safe, that’s why most charge pipes made for the b58 motor come with a pre-drilled 1/4” hole for meth injection

Should the nozzle be mounted on the bottom of the charge pipe( shooting up)? I imagine this to be safer so water cannot drip down into the pipe in the event of failure. Also, should the nozzle be at an angle or mounted 90 degrees into the charge pipe?
What did you do with the 2 wires coming from the AEM controller for the tank level sensor since the tank is from BMS and doesn’t have a sensor?
Is there enough wire on the loom included with the controller to run it all the way to the trunk or did they need to be extended?
The route i used i had just enough to run it all the way

What line kit and nozzle did you use? My throttle body spacer has two spaces for two nozzles. However I bought the snow performance with the stainless steel lines to use and not the rubber lines.

Trevor Elam monster! My only worry is a possible meth pump failure in mid boost. I’d be running it with jb4. Any suggestions on how to play it safe?
Don't tune for meth, we didn't either, i just use it for cooling that way if it fails the tune is designed to be safe without it.
Trevor Elam so you just run a regular map and the meth does it’s own thing?
Correct, our cars will adapt for the meth but you will still see performance benefits by just running it for cooling.

Hey man. If I get the manual and aim for mid 500-600whp would that be cheaper then getting a automatic and having to upgrade the whole transmission? Also do you think 40k is enough money? All I see is posts for 50k up here in Canada right now

Hi. I'm thinking to max out my ewg n55 stock turbo (yes I know this is b58 channel lol). I'm fbo, so that's why I'm upgrading hpfp for Dorch stage1 and ordering in future e50 custom mix. So last thing I'm missing staying stock turbo is meth kit...since I will max out my stock turbo(21psi), cooling will be very beneficial. So you saying not tune it for meth, just use it for cooling? And you saying I will still feel power bump? Because I would like to have extra 30hp as a bonus to my fbo+hpfp+custome e50 set up on top of a cooling effect. Thank you 😊

B58 charge pipes are solid, mines seen 40+ psi and lots of abuse
b58 has the beefy charge pipe that can hold 600hp easy. N55 🤔
Going to do exactly this very soon to my same '16 340i. Just a little confused how you tapped into the maf sensor instead of using a boost vacuum line? The kits all show a vacuum input to the controller. Am I missing something?
ahhh quick google search shows the 30-3352 sku with a different controller to the 3300 i was looking at. So basically this will come with a maf splitter, and ill just use the intake minifold maf sensor instead of the charge pipe's. correct?
@@andrewhorochovic8781 yes i opted for the map sensor tap setup, if you go the vac line there is a spot you can tap in on the intake manifold where the throttle body meets
@@trevorjelam So with the controller you have, it doesn't read start and full PSI, it reads 10-90 start and full. What do those numbers relate to? Throttle position?

This video was made long before we discovered the uneven flow distribution of our stock manifolds. Please use this video as a guide to wire/run meth lines. But i highly recommend pairing it with a port methanol plate or billet manifold with port methanol bungs. Available at bimmerboiperformance.com
