This is a short tutorial/training video of how to use the latest version of the Uber Driver app to go online, accept a trip request, navigate to the pickup location of the rider, pick up the rider, navigate to the destination, successfully complete the trip and rate the rider.

How do you set the app if someone just walked in and asked for a ride without requesting? They offer to pay cash. Is that even possible?
I looked up this video because I just got fully approved and passed inspection and all that. All the processes of the app have been completed. I click on Go and it doesn't do anything; just keeps saying You're offline.

Was trying to find out how to toggle back from the google map to uber. I just heard some clicks didn't not sure what happened
There is a setting under App Settings where you can switch that on or off
I want to change a google map but no option to choose yet. Is that because I’m new?

What if your your dropping someone and wanna take a break after? What do you pressed so you wont get any requests or stop getting one while using Google maps
There will be an option to stop new requests on the same popup that has the cancel / complete existing trip.
I like Google Maps way better too
I wish you would not have had text covering the bottom part of the phone. That's where all the action happens and the text made it very difficult to see.

Two questions...
1. When you accept a ride isn't there an in-app navigation map? Or do you have to press navigate to use Google Maps or Waze?
2. When you reach the passengers location does the Uber app automatically notify them that you've arrived? Because on Lyft I think you have to notify them yourself by pressing a button.
1. Uber does have an in-app navigation. You have to select it in settings.
2. Yes they get notified automatically

Can you see where the rider is going before you accept the job? And how so you decline if you don't like that job? Thank you?
If you watch my video...you will see a DECLINE button when the trip comes in...either you can tap that or you can just simply let it ring until it is sent to the next available driver closeby
And...no you cannot see where the rider is going until you pick up the rider and start the trip
The app doesn't show me rider's destination after I swipe START UBERX. Any ideas why?
Try restarting the app. If that doesn't fix it, try restarting phone. If that doesn't work, uninstall app and reinstall it. Hope that helps.
Is the Uber navigation OK to use, or is it better to use google maps or waze?
I would suggest to try them all and decide. I personally use Google because it gives me Lane assistance. I believe so does the Uber navigation but I've seen Google is faster than Uber navigation
I have tried them all and I prefer Google Maps over all others.

You should contact support through the Uber Driver app and let them know that. They should be able to help you.

Does the app link up somehow with my waze app?
Yes it does. You can select the navigation provider in settings
How do you rate the Rider? I tap "rate" and do not touch the stars and nothing seems to happen, no confirmation.
There won't be any confirmation. Once you tap the Rate button it will just disappear
How do I put the price for each order on the Uber app
Not sure how to do that.
How to call the customer
In the video at 1:58 you will see the customer's name Greg and on the left side of it you will see a phone/message icon. Tap on it to call or text the customer.

What happens when the rider doesn't come in those 3 minutes and get in your car? do you lose the rider?
No you do not. The timer keeps going but after 5 minutes, you get an option to cancel and charge the rider a $5 no-show fee
How do you know what it pays?
In the new version, it shows you approximately how much you will get paid for the ride when it pings.
How to know the amount before dropping off the customer?
You cannot know that info. Uber doesn't know which route you will take so there is no way to give you the amount before completing the trip.
I just sign up with Uber, I dowonload the driver app, but somehow i can't get online...What did i do wrong?
Yes I just signed up and I'm still off line
They will email you guys and text you when your background check is cleared and that's when you can go online. It takes a few days.
Why even accept a ride that does not display a visible fare price and drop-off distance? This is a brain-twisting conundrum way to waste money and time.

Not much new in the process of accepting and completing a trip. But the other app features have been placed differently now
