Incubus hit my radar when I was 30 and trying figure out how to be a husband and father. 53 now and still think they're one of the most talented bands, ever. So diverse.
ive always thought they were crap so wouldn't listen oh how so fucking wrong as a spritely 52 i wonder where the hell have I been they are truly fucking awsome
How could a band this incredible be so damn underrated and under appreciated? I'll never understand it. Been a fan since the beginning and will be until their done..keep rocking Brandon, Mike & company!
Saw them at Lollapalooza 2004 in Michigan. They stopped their set because two morons were fighting in one of the front rows lol. Brendan chewed them out and the band didn't start playing again until the fight was over. Killed the vibe tbh
I literally left work mid day once because I found out they were playing the Honda Civic tour that day! Called my boss on the way to the concert and I told her I had leave because I was missing a concert lol! One of the best Incubus performances I have seen to date!
This band is rare and unique. All the instruments move togheter and create such a feeling, and the lyrics man, it's amazing ! Incubus always amazes me in such good ways ! ENJOY
So, I found this song after watching the live version and falling in love with it. But now, hearing the studio version, I can't believe how good these guys are live. It's so rare to find musicians this talented.
This song has such nostalgia for me. I was in my senior yr of hs when it came out going through some tough shit and man it really resonated with me. Heard it on the radio and was actually my first introduction to Incubus. Been a fan every since
He writes such deep meaningful lyrics. Brandon Boyd studied a lot of Eastern religion and philosophy. He sees the world in a very Buddhist/Zen way. Even though his fame and his passion tie him away from being the enlightened person he wants to be. He knows that reality is just an illusion that time and boundaries don't exist. But being a person tied to the illusion knowing those facts don't make him feel better. That's where I think he's comming from.
Im 20yrs old again, driving my red 89 Fireburd Formula with my, then gf now, wife...this particular song blasting their way through those puny 6x9s!!! Thank you INCUBUS, for those memories....
well i moved states and i listened to this song in school every day so when i hear it i can see myself in my history class listening to it on the iPod i had from my friend who i called "crem fobbin bobbin."
Adolescents - Lyrics I'm feeling out of bounds, out of bounds I'm running out of time, out of time I know there's no such thing as either of them But its doesn't make me feel any better Out of sight, out of mind Out of sight, out of mind We're out of time We're out of mind Out of mind Out of mind Yeah, yeah I’m feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed It’s getting out of line, line, line I know I’m not alone Just adolescents, you and I It doesn’t make me feel any better Out of sight, out of mind Out of sight, out of mind We're out of time We're out of mind Out of mind Out of mind Yeah, yeah Out of sight, out of mind Out of sight, out of mind We're out of time We're out of mind Out of mind Out of mind We're out of mind Yeah
My best friend and I love Incubus we would play them while cruising around with 2 other buddies who also loved them. The 4 of us would listen while cruising for hours on weekends in his car our senior year. I remember that year, he said something to me while looking over a photo of the 4 of us, he said " lets never lose this, what we have." My buddy really loved this song, Jan 26th 2016 he committed suicide and this song was one of his favorites. I think he was trying to say we lost what we had when we were kids, he felt out of touch and out of mind, he wanted to escape so he did. I still love Incubus and I'm sure he does too, it's just so strange how music can really sum up the soul or what we are feeling inside. Be it playing talk shows on mute on loop, or us at the red light waiting for a certain shade of green, we always found a way to relate to the music of Incubus. We always spoke about finally getting to see them in concert, we just never made it. Thank you Incubus for being such a huge part of our lives.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend all those years ago, I had a similar experience with my friends, throughout HS we would jam to RHCP, Modest Mouse, Incubus, and we used to cruise around in an old Sebring with the top down playing Morning View from start to finish, we would get super stoned and than go play Runescape on the computers at the library. I never got to see them in concert either but they've remained as one of the most influential bands in my life and it makes me happy to see other people with those memories. I also loved Certain Shade Of Green especially the acoustic version, hope you're doing well and still rocking.
Been listening to Incubus since I was a kid with the Fungus CD. Love all their music, everything they put out just blows my mind. Brandon Boyd is such a genius with his fellow amazing artists. All of them together isn't just Incubus, it's perfection. Sit back and enjoy with my drink in my hand. Cheers all!
Incubus, one of my all time fav bands. I'm a chick out of the grunge 90's then we stepped into this era of Incubus, Third Eye Blind, etc. Love it all, takes me back every time I listen
It's so weird but I enjoyed Incubus music and lyrics when I was a teenager and in my early 20s and it became my fav band, but now that I am grown, it's like I enjoy it a lot more maybe because life has passed me by and I understand other way lyrics. Incubus is music my generation we used to love when we were young but lyrics we understand better now that we are grown up. Anyone else thinking the same?
Mike’s ability to create is just amazing... the whole band is just way ahead of their time from the very beginning.. so grateful to listen to the collection 🙌🏽✨
11 years later and we're still alone... enough time to make realize that that this song will be timeless... not adolescents anymore... and we don't have each other anymore.
Love this band, been a fan since the beginning. Their music is never the same, always evolves and never disappoints. Best band hands down I’ve ever seen live! Love you guys❤️
God I fucking love these guys so much, I just saw them live last night and they still sound exactly the same after all these years. This is one of their best songs.
Incubus is one of the best lives shows you can ever experience! I've seen them four times and each time was a unique time. Definitely a band that had a huge impact on my life and music!
Incubus will always be my unofficial life coach.
So true! When Im feeling down I just need to listen a couple of Incubus song then I'm good again, imediatelly

As I get older, i realize more and more that incubus's mellower songs are every bit as good as their metal ones from the distant past.
💯
Incubus hit my radar when I was 30 and trying figure out how to be a husband and father. 53 now and still think they're one of the most talented bands, ever. So diverse.

Incubus made an adult contemporary album. People just starting to notice how good it was.
That bass line (hook?) is so incredibly unique and fits this song perfectly.
Chills everytime. Soooo good

Finally, someone else who understand's Brandon's mindset. Lyric's that MEAN something. This band is LIFE.
Incubus, a privilege, antithetical to ‘the holy bible’ perhaps.
Don’t fixate on the individual, listen to the music dude fr

Brandon Boyd has to be one of my favorite musicians. What a gift from heaven to have this man writing music. Incubus has become a legend. What a band.
Almost a decade later and I’m still in love with this song. Fav band of all time!
God that ending I love the sound of it so much 4:27
... Thank you Brandon Boyd for being a kind and gentle place in my painful tragic world.
Back in early 2010s I used to work nights in the Army in DC & would listen to this song on the radio 💆🏻♂️💭
