60 yrs old and just learning all this stuff cause the ex used to do everything. I just wanted to let you know that I am soo grateful for you and this video! Easy to understand for a "newbie" and it worked beautifully. Thank you so much. ❤
Thanks man, when they replaced the tires on my Honda Civic they didn't replace the valve stems, one cracked and started leaking, so I replaced it myself but had trouble re-seating the tire, your trick got me there, it was just enough to get the tire to hold air and re-pressurize. I was looking for alternatives to the starter fluid trick and this worked perfectly. Have a great day.
Thank you for this video, it saved my day, I wasn’t able to put a ratchet strap on the small front tire of my zero turn mower, but I was able to take my belt and wrap it around and squeeze down tightly on. It pop the air to it and it seated right back up. Thank you so much.
One of the tires on my trailer went flat and the bead broke. I tried the ratchet strap and it totally worked!! Thanks for sharing this simple and effective hack!!!
Hey man! I really appreciate you putting this up! Just trying to diagnose my kids' leaky tires...they are only 3 years old and don't really have that many miles on them! Grrr! Have been to 3 different places and they all tell me something different! Just trying to understand the mechanics and problem-solve so I don't end up spending more than needed on fixing the issue. Take care!
So I've used the ratchet strap method in the past and I've got to agree that it can become a bit dangerous to release the tension. The concept of the strap around tire works but instead of ratcheting it find a bar or screwdriver you can use to essentially turn the strap into a tourniquet. Then when you're filling it with air you can slowly loosen the tourniquet and you won't have to release all of that potential energy in the strap at once.
I have two back tyres with popped beads on my quad bike. That will teach me for letting too much air out. Going out to try this now. Thanks to you and thank god for you tube!
Very Good. I knew it needed a strap, tried using my belt, of course you cant get it tight enough. I have one of those straps. Doing it wrong is hard assed work. Thanks for explaining everything.
All that I just want to say is thank you for this wonderful video, coincidentally enough you posted it on September 19 2021 and exactly a year today September 19 2022 it helped me solve a doughnut tire problem that the bead refuses to seat on the rim,as a matter of fact I did not finish watching your video when I stood up and went back to the tire with a tie strap and just like that I was able to solve the problem. It is so funny that I use ratchet straps almost everyday and I have never thought of something like this.
Thanks! So helpful...bought a new fat tire minibike and worked for a day trying to get the front wheel to inflate... I figured someone on youtube has to have an easy way to do this...awesome, great trick!
Very good info.My friend, I have a leak from a beed that's not sealed .I was thinking to maybe use that black goo bead sealer. But I don't know how that's all gonna work.I gotta think about it
That stuff works good if you get it on good and get lucky in the right spot. We use tractors with 4 foot high tires at work and I have seen it work and hold on those. Just go nuts with it and slather it on if you use it. Best of luck.
For sure. Dried mud or debris will cause it to leak.. also forgot they make a tire bead sealer for people dealing with a scuffed up rim or damaged tire bead, that will seal it up with those issues. Thanks, take care.
I went to cut my grass tonight and got out my riding mower for the first time of the season. One of the tires in the rear has the exact issue. I will get the ratchet strap and get this thing taken care of now. Oh well, I at least got exercise by using my push mower.
I just bought a new tire and had this same problem. Didn't have a ratchet strap so I took a hammer and kinda just hit the tire to somewhat get the tire inline with the seal. Got most of the tire seated except for one part that didn't wanna seat. Took some WD40 and sprayed the inside of the rim. It did eventually seal. I think next time I need to mount tires, I'll try the ratchet straps. Looks so much easier to get a tire to seat than losing my mind trying different ways to do it.
@@MikmawWarriorBrave Yes. I’ve done it as small as an 8” tire - all the way up to a massive tractor tire on a John deer 5400 at work. Should get it done. I would use a 1” thick strap on a dirt bike. Best of luck.
i patched a hole in my rear scooter tire and and spent 5 hours wrestling with the tire off and on. only to not be able to seal it so i couldn't inflate it. tomorrow i shall try this and hope it works! thanks
Same process will work, just make sure that strap is right in the middle of the tire. I’ve done it on 6” dolly flat tires, and 48” tractor tires… works like a charm. Sorry for the late reply. Was stuck at work. Best of luck!
*IT WORKED!!!....* or *MAYBE* IT WORKED!!!(?).... or I'M NOT SURE IF IT WORKED!?? Tire was flat for a couple of months before I could get to it. By then, it wouldn't take air; there was a gap at the bead. 29 degrees outside today and about to go to 5 degrees tomorrow - so if I don't get this working today, that rubber might *never* pop back into shape to seal at the rim. *Soooo* to be on the safe side I: 1) heat gunned the tire (to make the rubber more pliable, 2) jacked the tire off the ground (to take the pressure off the tire so it would have a better chance to form back into a circle), 3) ratchet strapped the tire like in this video 4) set the compressor as high as it would go - 140 PSI in my case (you want as much air as possible blasting into the tire as quickly as possible so that the air is going into the tire faster than it can come out at the rim. This is the same concept as an "Air Tire Bead Sealer" aka "Air Blaster"). And VOILA! That sumabitch took air - and I didn't have to end up taking the tire off the car to take it to a shop. It might have just needed to be jacked up to work. Or it might've been the heat gun. Or it might've been such that when I tried to put air in it before, the compressor was only set to 90 PSI... Or a combination or any or all of those. Hopefully the 2 minutes to read this will spare you the 2 hours of headache of having to take the tire to the shop.

Dont let your tractor get this dirty. Another good lesson.

Thanks for watching and giving it a shot, and more importantly- Thanks for your service!!!
Thank you for your service!
Thanks dude! I just fixed my tractor with your info. I thought the day was wasted, but I am back to work after only an hour downtime.
Thank you for this video, it saved my day, I wasn’t able to put a ratchet strap on the small front tire of my zero turn mower, but I was able to take my belt and wrap it around and squeeze down tightly on. It pop the air to it and it seated right back up. Thank you so much.
Thanks for giving it a shot, and damn… heads up to this guy for using his belt, knows how to get it done! This is awesome.
This is only for temp fix, couple day later, no air left, probably the rubber around the tire got harden, wont seal tight.
One of the tires on my trailer went flat and the bead broke. I tried the ratchet strap and it totally worked!! Thanks for sharing this simple and effective hack!!!
Dang genius! I just used this method on a flat tire on my trailer. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the tip
Oh my gosh! You are the man! We were struggling to get the bead. We watched your video and did the steps you said and it worked! Thank you so much!
No problem, thanks for watching and giving it a shot.. happy 4th, take care!
Quad tire was leaking around the bead. Tried your suggestion and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much. 😊😊
This was beautiful thanks a million. I had the 1" straps so I used 2 straps and it worked beautifully
Thanks for the video!😊😊 I'm 83 years old and hope I can do it. I have 2 to reseat. SUBSCRIBED!!

I love the safety warning. This is still better than the spray method. Safer for sure.

Thanks to you and thank god for you tube!
Did it on my 215/45/17 on my car. Worked. Thanks buddy you saved me some hassle
Seriously God bless you for this video! Worked perfectly!!
Thank You. Just tried this with my motorcycle tire and it worked perfectly!!!!
You’re a life saver man. God bless you! 🙏🏽

Your method worked. Easy and safe. Super fast. Thanks.
Just did what you said and worked perfectly. Fast and safe. Thanks.

Dude you are a lifesaver! God bless. Flat on a snowblower just before the first storm this saved us
Thanks man worked like a charm with alittle hitting of tire in some places and adding air slowly
dude holy crap. thanks for posting the video.....worked like a charm. cheers
Just tried your method and it worked perfectly. Thanks for posting this.
Sweet.
Thanks for the advice.
Worked great. 🎉
Thanks Brian. You saved my ass. I was almost at the end of my cursing vocabulary and I came across your video.
Thanks! So helpful...bought a new fat tire minibike and worked for a day trying to get the front wheel to inflate...
I figured someone on youtube has to have an easy way to do this...awesome, great trick!
Thanks boss I needed this I didn't want to try the ether method 😂
Great video! Worked just like you said. Got me out of a jam, thanks.
Awesome! If possible could you please share the link for the pump you used. Thanks!
Small tire on riding mower completely flat. The strap technique works great. Thanks
Thank you for making this video.
Worked perfectly. Saved my Bacon!
Yo that’s great thanks it really worked pretty easily for me
starting fluid works great
This worked like a charm. Hell yeah!
Life saver. Thank You!
Thx man. You remind me of my cousin from chicago. Rammestein, Godsmack and definitely Distrubed 😉

Thanks so much for making this video ! We didn’t have a ratchet strap so had to make due with a rope. Tied it twice over and that did the trick. 👍🥳
This is genius. Much obliged 😁
This video saved me. Thank you
Nice trick!
So simple but awesome thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!
Thank u. It help me so much.
Worked perfect. Thanks.
Really good video! Question, is it important to wipe/clean rim surface and seating part of the for a better seal?
For sure. Dried mud or debris will cause it to leak.. also forgot they make a tire bead sealer for people dealing with a scuffed up rim or damaged tire bead, that will seal it up with those issues. Thanks, take care.
Do you need to put in sealant? Great video!
Excellent!!!!
Great video
I tried this it worked perfectly
sketchy air inside ? huh?
Thanks brother!
Thank you! We got it! Your the man!
It worked! 👍🏼 Thx
Pretty slick! Thanks
6:02. Those side wall cracks though :P xD

Can this be done on a dirtbike tire?

@BrianEaly thanks man...much appreciated!
ratchet strap wouldn't work for me, any other ideas?
Good editing
i patched a hole in my rear scooter tire and and spent 5 hours wrestling with the tire off and on. only to not be able to seal it so i couldn't inflate it. tomorrow i shall try this and hope it works! thanks
Thank you
good job thanks
Good shit bro ✌️
I looked this video up and found a guy with my last name lol.
Your long lost brother
Maybe he's related
Dude what a fuckin legend I sat for 10 min putting air and got so mad and this did it immediately
You can also just seal it with wrapping microwave foil where the holes are and then pump it to bead it, I got a video on it on my channel
ratchet strap method worked!
TH-cam saves me thousands annually
What if the tire is completely flat same process ?
Same process will work, just make sure that strap is right in the middle of the tire. I’ve done it on 6” dolly flat tires, and 48” tractor tires… works like a charm. Sorry for the late reply. Was stuck at work. Best of luck!
Great video straight to the point with all the best information. Take care my man.
it worked!!!
If this doesn’t work, add some slime or even soapy water, remove the valve, stem core and use any tool you have that will give as much air as possible
Nifty tip
I tried that on a car tire and it wouldn’t do it. I’ve seen that before, but it won’t seal the bead.
This brother right here had the exact solution to the exact problem I was having. Let me click that Subscribe Button and get more of these videos.
Thats whats wrong with my tire
Thx
Nice.
Most lawn tractor tires are typically 10-12 psi max. But confirm what the side of your tire actually says.
Once the bead is sealed just let the air out to remove strap, then reinflate tire.
Mine won’t seat with 2 ratchet straps, bouncing it, and windex.
On car tires I have had it work and also not work.
Goated man
For followers, it's the ratchet strap around the tire method.
Or some starter fluid and a match and be done with it.
All that grass will start on fire then and burn down the garage....🤣
My tire keep popping only my left side I bought a new one and it pop the same exact day can anyone help?

Why wouldn't you just take the valve core out and air it up? We do it everyday and never use a strap
Nice temporary fix. But it leaked down for a reason.
tried this today on my new motorcycle tire ratchet strap broke lol.
