I agree cultural flexibility & openness is key to a good relationship. I live near Tokyo and being a white woman, 173cm slightly overweight I was nervous when I started to hit the dating scene. I will say I had absolutely no issues finding dates. My Japanese boyfriend does not care that I am slightly taller, even encourages me to wear heels. He said he has never been with a non-Asian woman so he hadn’t been with anyone my size but truly enjoys and loves my body. We are both open to each others cultures and are respectful of the differences and communicate a lot so there are no misunderstandings. We have been together almost 9 months and it’s the best relationship I have ever had
I came across this video randomly and I love the advices that you’re giving these women. You’re not sugarcoating anything and giving them a really good realistic view of human and Japanese psychology and mentality.
Philippines is a matriarchal country, and filipino women have strong personality. That is why, most filipino women likes japanese men, because of the strength in their character. Before in the 90s and early 2k filipino women marry japanese men for their economic advancement but these are mostly women in the entertainment industry (☺️✌️), but nowadays its really because of love, romance and lifelong partnerships.
I understand her point, I never expected that Japanese men would be attracted to women of colour or full figured/ thick/ chubby women, so it can be difficult to believe someone's sincerety when faced with their true feelings... Most feedback from online research indicates a different preference or type, they tend towards.
Its great how you are honest about face appearance, what really matters is heart and overall personality
It's not that I'm desperately looking for a Japanese guy, but if it happened by chance I wanted to do everything right. from the bottom of my heart, not superficially. no matter....love comes by itself, I can't look for it.

I am a new subscriber from Namibia, Africa and have been in Japan for more than 6 months on short course with JICA. What you are saying about Japanese men is very true. I only so far saw Japanese ladies married by foreign (African) men but not vice versa.

I’m an ALT and I have a crush with this Social Studies teacher. I always say “ohayou gozaimasu” to him and he answers with a “good morning”. I tried being friendly to him, but I am sometimes intimidated by him, so, I get tongue tied. I asked him if he’s going to be transferred to another school and he said “yes”, meaning I won’t be able to see him starting next school year. So I braved up and asked for his Line. After 4 days, I mailed him「○○○先生 お疲れ様です！お元気ですか？」 and he hasn’t replied yet. (It’s already been a day and a half) and I’m jumping into conclusions that maybe he isn’t really interested or maybe he’s just very busy???? Or maybe he’s already in a relationship (I wasn’t able to ask him!)
I want to chat him again, but I don’t wanna come off as annoying. What should I do?

May I please ask why did you stop being a flight steward? I know some people who became a flight attendant and they are still with their job (with an exception of female who became a mother and whom opted to take care of her child in the rich country where they are at). It was also actually my then dream job. 😅😀

Thanks for the advice. I would generally never tell a man that he looks good I'm too shy for that. His personality and heart would also be more important to me. and a serious relationship. i just thought that i would never be good enough for a japanese man. I don't have a lot of self-confidence. and you're right, it would be almost impossible to meet someone... thanks for everything 🙏
Just be yourself and put yourself in the right places. Trying to mimic others will only make you a knock off and they want the real thing. There's nothing wrong with having a preference and I hope you find your Japanese man🙋🏻♂️. But, trust me (I've dated Asian, Hispanic, Indian, White, Black like me), eventually the novelty will fade and you'll be very unhappy if they don't sincerely love you for who you are and treat you right. That's all that matters.❤

I’m in it for Japanese culture. I have always been drawn to Japan, since I was young. I enjoy Japanese culture way more than American culture. The rise of kpop and fame around Asian cultures for that alone really annoys me 🙂↕️ Japanese and Korean.. very different. I’m sorry you experienced that in Ireland.

Thank you kuya Santi🙂 By the way I am a pinay and I would like to ask you for an advice with my japanese young coworker.. I'm 28 yrsold and please just hide my real name thank you..I have been with the company I work for here in Japan for one year. I like someone and his name is Taksan 23 years old japanese he's nice to everyone and he talks to my senpaitachi and he's nice to them.we work in the greenhouse nursery. he is shain and I am one of the trainees or kohai as they call it and my senpaitachi are pinay too. we are both new to the company. he was just a month ahead from me. At the worksite during planting we often talk and joke. we talked about his life and so did I. he told me that since he was a child his father had left him. then I told him that I also have a live in partner in the Philippines and 2 children and this is not new to him because he has known for a long time from our manager that I have a partner and two children. I also said that my partner was married to the first woman before me. and I don't like playboy. But i haveno choice my partner already lied to me. There is a time i asked him to go to market with us and he said yes even he is tired at his worked he drove his car and came with me, along with my female friend of mine. we ate at the italian restaurant and he said how much he would pay. but I said that I am paying. Then he drove me home..then there are a time at the worksite he is always asking me if i like Daisan. Daisan is our japanese coworker too. there are times when I see him looking at who I'm looking at. Then the other day at worsite he said to me not to love a japanese because they're bad.. I was confused that time why he said that.. Then a week a go I chatted with him and said I like someone Japanese, he immediately replied to me and told me to talk to the person I like even on messenger. but I told him that the person I like might not like me because I have a child.. he said that I should ask and talk the person i like more to find out what I want to know.. a week later I chatted with him again and told him that" I like him. and chatted with him that if possible he should not tell it to other people in the company. And it's just our secret".. he replied and said "thank you for the secret".the i replied " i dont understand what his mean" i said toi that i like him but i dont because of many things" from that day end I unfriend and block him on my fb and messenger. Then at the worksite again I often see him looking but he is not speaking and not joking to every even not smile than he usually did before to everyone. I also don't even talk to him at the worksite, which is before we are smiling to each other ang talking while working, then often I see him looking at me, he doesn't even joke or talk to my senpai like he used to do. so after work at my apartment I chatted with him again why he was serious at worksite he quickly replied and said that he was just sleepy until we joked in the chat. and he quickly forwarded a friend request on fb. Its already passed 9 at night until i cut our conversation. Then at worksite after his doing he helped me with my work.instead to help with my sepatachi than me. Is he doing normal looking all the times at me kuya santi? Ok and then my senpai like taksan then he said that he doesn't like my senpaitachi because they are short. He said that to my senpaitachi while everyone of my senpaitachi are joking. My senpai like him and my senpai told him that if possible Taksan would marry them. taksan replied that he didn't want a small one. Brother Santi, my height is 5"9 and he is taller than me. My only concern is that Taksan possible likes me based on his actions. Then there are times i gaved taksan a ryouri i cooked he not refused to get it even some of our office staff and shain see us on that situation he still get it***. In the worksite if busy we are not talking too much. But i often catch him looking at me. Until now we work together at the same worksite He also noticed the color of my clothes which is black that I usually wearing and I said that black was my favorite color, until someday i noticed that he was wearing black clothes even though his favorite color was blue.
