I have fibromyalgia, and a simple thick pillow between the knees (at least two of the hospital pillows), would have made a world of difference for my comfort. I can only imagine the relief that would give long-term patients.
Parents don’t always have to hold their child. Goodness there are such things as chores to do. Maybe he does this why he cleans a particular space in the house. This way it’s like being held when a parent can’t hold their child. Plus it’s not really healthy for the child to be held 24/7🙄 smh…..not sure why you’re even telling another parent what to do with their baby anyways, there’s enough judgement out in the world as it is ma’am

Don’t do this at night. Blankets… particularly multiple blankets… particularly blankets rolled or wadded up are the number one cause of SIDS due to suffocation. Only do this if you’re able to supervise your infant.
Thank you for pointing out the suffocation. But cases of suffocation are Not SIDS. And we also have had areas that did studies and found many SIDS labels were incorrect and should have been listed as suffocation.

By the way, my mom gave birth to five babies. If you are too warm or too cold. You can sense how the baby is feeling and unjust their clothing, so the baby is comfortable. When a baby is born and you bring baby home.👩🦲 It's ok to keep the baby wrapped tightly when laying the baby down. Just like they do in the maternity room. Babies sleep better when they feel secure. My number one concern when I had my children and my mom taught me this also. Is to not have anything extra in the baby's bed. Nothing blocking babies face and keeping little toys or extra blankets out of the baby bed.🧑🍼 I placed the baby in the bed and laid them only on their backs. I would sleep when my babies slept and set my alarm to wake up at a certain time or get up when I heard them cry. As baby gets older. The baby will unravel out the blanket and eventually. Try to climb over the rails of the baby bed. As both my kids would do. 😅

I´ve heard recordings of my own voice when interacting with babies and toddlers, where I almost could not recognize myself. I´m guessing this man's voice also is a few tones lower in other settings than interacting with super cute babies 🥰😃 What´s fascinating is this is instinctual, as most living things perceive deep, dark, or rumbly sounds as threatening, while high-pitched, gentle sounds are perceived as friendly, non-threatening, etc.
