I went school at UT Austin and I was working part time and studying. Some weeks I could barely make enough to eat good food (Remember that at the time minimum wage is Texas was around 6.50$) So I used to have a lot of instant Ramen. My Indian landlord noticed all the cup noodles and came up to my room one day and said “you can have dinner with us everyday if you wish. You will always have a seat at my table. Don’t ruin your health eating this” (points to the cup). The best landlord I ever had. Even when they go on family vacations he used to check up on me and he always had one question “are you eating well?”. You can’t fake love and care like that. I have lost count of how many delicious meals I have had with him and family. To this day I can’t go a week without cooking Indian food. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Selvan

I know cast system still exist at different level I don't deny but good people are also there who don't believe on cast, creed, religion, race etc they do selfless service for humanity. I believe in karma not birth. I believe that Birth didn't decide who you are but your work or karma decide your future.
Bro I support reservation because it is couter action of cast system and I think you should also don't paint blindly everyone in same colour, if someone do good work appreciate it. Birth is not not a criteria of giving someone respect or not.

@@shubhamshubham6701 I don't agree with you, backword class people already in darkness and marginalised since thousands of years. Reservation is not permanent solution but it is help to backword people to came in main stream society. People who suffer alot in the past by so called upper cast varna.
Education is complete reserved by them
If Now dalit community getting some attention and little extra benefits. I don't think it's wrong.. Why only brahmin in temple, why god needs specific cast to become main preist and for some hawan pooja why brahmin preist invited to home . I don't think God need any messanger Or even specific cast messenger for pooja. Unfortunatly it's practice by thaosands of years and still continue by brahamin and people blindly follow them. Still people says Brahmin are pure don't disrespect them.
The logic behind is clear that they create difference between human being and cast. Uch nich type mindset .
only 3 percent brahmin in india but they control the most higher position in every field like news channels .
Why this difference... Because past thousands of years the backward community did not allowed to education. For thousand of years Education is only reserved for brahmin and other higher cast, power is so polarised that time . Because of past differences we can see in present time. Because Gender inequality girls also enjoy reservation now , because girls also suffer alot in past and away from basic opportunity from long time like education and jobs. But also some people who don't need reservation but still they use it, it is main peoblem. But it can be solved by proper implementaion on ground.
Ews is for general but still some people miss use by hidding their economic details. And they fill form by ews qouta.
So the problem is people miss use the policies. Lack of Policies implemetation by govt. Is main problem. Look usa also has affirmative action program for black but their implementation process is very good.. Even in India accept manmohan singh who became prime minister the most powerful position by accidently, even we didn't see any pm of india non hindu by proper election it's very hard to get that position for non hindu but in usa black president Obama won the proper election in usa . In India we still stuck in cast system, intercast marriege.

Really appreciated. That's our culture. But can we stop writing "proud to be an Indian" "proud of our culture" "proud" in entry comment. We all know we are proud of it but let's stop writing it in the comment. Because when everybody mentions it, it just become like a joke.

This person is totally different from where he originates. A businessman opening his hotel 100% for help is very rare. Businesses in India hardly did like this over here, only the religious institutions are doing as far as I remember. He deserves every blessings.

Dude, Just say u hate businessmen ppl of own nation (who actually doin' too much great & being a great help for our nation in everyway, even in easing quality/standard of life, Helped greatly even during Covid) while nothing to say over strong capitalism monopoly driven companies of West taking over markets of the world.
Just compare Business tycoons in West or developed nations to Business tycoon of india in terms of how much selfless social service they have done from their hard earned money, u'll then find how much indian businessmen has done & been doin' from decades specially in hard times of our nation.
PS:- If Japan, Skorea, etc had ppl like u...Those countries would've never be such greatly developed nations (with almost of ppl lifted out of poverty, very high HDI, very high Gdp per capita) what they are now.

Btw, those weren't examples here..Go & search the examples, Even in Covid they did very much for our nation here..(even tho they or their hard earned money of their work ain't obliged to anything or anyone after paying full taxes to nation they work in)
