Cute. India as a country didn't exist until a little more than a 100 years back. We were busy screwing with each other as a collection of independent kingdoms. Go a little further back, and Aryans and Dravidians existed as separate entities at conflict.
Biryani is a Persian dish, tapioca which is eaten in Kerala was introduced by the Portuguese, idli was likely introduced by South East Asian countries and naan and other flatbreads were popular across the middle East well before Punjabis stuck their label on it. If we have to shout out the origin of every single food item we eat, it's kind of stupid. If a bangladeshi eats something as a staple, let it be Bangladeshi.

As an Indian it angers me that they use our heritage to masquerade as Indians and prop up their businesses. Go ask any Bangladeshi, Are you Indian? Before your question ends he will say " Ami Bangla Hobay? They are Indian as long as it serves the purpose. I would say to such posers, " You are a Bangladeshi not an Indian. Be proud of that and use your heritage and nationality to run your business. Name your restaurant "Mujibur Rahman Mahal" not Gandhi Mahal." Gandhi was not a Bangladeshi.
