+Samuel Saarinen What I find unbelievable is that Ron plays with his fingers. It amazes me that some metal bassists keep up with their fingers rather than a pick.
Definitely. Tommy is amazing and this concert rules. One of the many things that blow me away about this concert is that it was recorded before my favourite Coroner album Mental Vortex was even released and is still absolutely incredible. Not too many bands I can say that about. Coroner are still active as a band and are hopefully releasing a new album in 2025.🤞🤘
I agree. Des riffs interminables sur une ligne bass bien épaisse avec en filigrane une batterie telle qu'elle ne peut pas s'en aller. Merci messieurs les coroner ! ! ! Sacré juges de paix !! For Ever Either !
I truly believe they are the most underrated band ever. The guitar play by Tommy is just perfect. It's complex and just sounds awesome. Kreator never could use him properly.
As a guitarist, I've acknowledged his virtuosity on the bass and why he isn't mentioned as an influence to a lot of metal bassists is beyond me. He inspired me to cover masked jackal on bass using a pick of course.
Definitely makes sense. Both Coroner and Death were on the more progressive side of the respective genres they were in imo. You can hear in Death's music over the years especially starting from Human and arguably even Spiritual Healing onwards, Coroner's influence.
Shadow Of a Lost Dream 1:02 Die By My Hand - 5:45 No Need To Be Human - 9:57 Read My Scars - 14:44 Voyage To Eternity - 19:07 Absorbed - 23:12 Masked Jackal - 27:15 D.O.A - 32:12 Sudden Fall - 36:48 Reborn Through Hate - 42:13 Purple Haze - 48:42 Last Entertaiment - 51:35
Indeed! The fact these three Swiss musical wizards do not even have a video with half a million views on this platform is disgraceful. Not only are they immensely better musicians than most of their subgenre, but they covered more ground stylistically in five years than most of their peers did in their whole careers, all without dumbing down their sound to pander to a wider audience.
25 years after, i still havent changed my mind - this is one of the best concerts ever, absolutely perfect, Hella magnificent band, Coroner, aged to perfection. Fukin Tommy Vetterli is a fukin bawss on that guitar :D Really hope a new album anytime soon, since theyre all happy to get back together \o/
Maybe one of the best bands ever defiantly on my top ten seen them in Hollywood once killer and unbelievable flawless guitar skills love coroner forever rocks the house.
I saw coroner back in early 90s in the states they played a little club in the valley in southern California sounded so good they will say today they couldn't replicate this sound it was to difficult the fastest a band can play an still be solid anything faster just gets blurred together insane how fast they truly where the way they can rip across the fret board of the guitar was unmatched I've lived Threw the thrash seen in longbeach an la and never did I see a band as great as coroner in my eyes and ears have ever had the pleasure to enjoy this concert in Berlin was off the hook coroner killed it sounded just like the studio amazing is all that can be said never will another band come along with this much talent and dedication then the mighty coroner they just came to be a little past thrash metals peak in the 80s
Marquis Marky is very underrated as a drummer, everything the man plays is phenomenal! Ron and Tommy are great also! What a band of three that can produce such sound! Incredible!
+Isaac Lee Technically several bands, famous or not, are or were better than Metallica (even in the only thrash field), but very few or noone has written certain songs/albums such their early works, and their melodies are better than almost everyone else, at least in thrash metal or around it, especially in the vocal compartment. So it's nothing strange that they have become very much more famous than everyone else since their early records, and their songs are considered real "classics" of the whole metal genre by millions of metalhead around the world etc. Anyway classic thrash metal and technical thrash metal (Coroner and many others) are two different styles.
+Isaac Lee Recently I did a fan remaster of No More Colour and it sounds fucking INSANE. Definitely close to Metallica or better. Wish I could upload it but I don't want to be slammed with a copyright strike.
Im an older metal head, i grew up back in the day when CORONER hit the scene, I was instantly blown away as was the guys a was jamming with at the time, from that moment on CORONER has always Influenced my guitar playing, ..LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY CORONER!!! \M/\M/\M/\M/M\M/M\M/M\M/M/!!!!!
Back when great music was written and performed flawlessly. Coroner is a perfect example of how greatness is achieved. Bands just can’t do this anymore. Just my opinion.
This band was so fucking bad-ass. The combination of Baron's ability to play the rhythms and leads of two guitar players in most other bands, Ron's iconic voice and dizzying bass playing, and the time-bending drum patterns of Marquis on skins, plus the incredible lyrics! Not to mention one of the greatest band names of all time. We'll never get another band like this again. Cherish this moment of time captured on film forever.
This is the best concert I have seen along with Live After Death, Megadeth London '92 and Seattle '89. I think this better than all 3 of those though. Gotta be my favourite band too.
I saw Coroner open for Kreator in Orlando in 1989. I had never heard of them, but they blew me away! One of the most under-the-radar bands ever! Thanks for posting!

Saw Coroner during this period w/Kreator I believe, Reseda Country Club in the valley. Yeah, a little underrated, but then again this was at the height of the scene. A lot of bands were out there late 80's early 90's. Glad I was fortunate enough to have caught it all!
I Used To Have This Concert On VHS and I bet its out of print and its probably not on DVD so this is probably the closest you can get to it so thanks for having this concert in its entirety available for those whos like me haven't seen Coroner live in concert up close and personal.
I managed to meet Coroner at Hellfest earlier this year, really cool guys plus a shit hot show. Also managed to slip them a demo of my band aswell! bonus haha
Unbelievable that they only have one guitarist. Tommy is one of the greatest players there is when it comes to technicality
+Samuel Saarinen What I find unbelievable is that Ron plays with his fingers. It amazes me that some metal bassists keep up with their fingers rather than a pick.
Definitely. Tommy is amazing and this concert rules. @@SuperStrik9 A new album in 2025? That's awesome!
They are literally untouchable. One of the tightest metal bands I've ever heard
Sorry man English I'm not the greatest at
Possibly the most underrated band of all time.
the most I don't know about, but definitely one of them!
the most underrated band ever
These guys were so far ahead of their time... I still haven't heard a band that compares

@@NIB1306 Definitely. Aspid is fantastic. I wish their debut album did well.
Ron is a beast on bass! one of my biggest influences
As a guitarist, I've acknowledged his virtuosity on the bass and why he isn't mentioned as an influence to a lot of metal bassists is beyond me. He inspired me to cover masked jackal on bass using a pick of course.
Very very underrated band...
It makes much sense to me that Chuck was a big Coroner-fan. I can hear a lot of Coroner-structures/beats in Death, especially their 90s-stuff.
Definitely makes sense. Both Coroner and Death were on the more progressive side of the respective genres they were in imo. You can hear in Death's music over the years especially starting from Human and arguably even Spiritual Healing onwards, Coroner's influence.
For sure, and also Heartwork era Carcass drunk heavily from this source of inspiration

Superb underated band.. And there's only three of them.. Sounds like ten men playing

Such a classy intelligent band very few bands are at this level of greatness.
25 years after, i still havent changed my mind - this is one of the best concerts ever, absolutely perfect, Hella magnificent band, Coroner, aged to perfection. Fukin Tommy Vetterli is a fukin bawss on that guitar :D

Never realized they were a three man band. Amazing.
Amazing. I had literally ALL Coroners albums.....So tight, so fuggin' heavy. This is unbelievable.
Maybe one of the best bands ever defiantly on my top ten seen them in Hollywood once killer and unbelievable flawless guitar skills love coroner forever rocks the house.
These guys absolutely kill it!!
tight like a Swiss clock :D HOPP CORONER !!
Amazing guitar player!!
Man, they sound great live! They should make a return!
Paulo Silva they did now
Chuck Schuldiner loved Coroner, he always wore Coroner shirts in many videos, and Coroner's sound is easily perceived in Death's song structures.
Only geniuses recognize other geniuses.
@hieioni3354 Thanks for The comment master. Chuck Schuldiner and bis work live in our hearts. A hug!
@@paulooliveira3453 Yes, Chuck is eternal.

Una maquinaria metalica rondando la perfeccion! lml
This should be a mandatory lesson how to perform for all metal bands. Sometimes they sound better here than on the album...
I would add that it's also a lesson for how to record and mix a live metal performance- for the same reason.
Whole band is so talented.
another favorite , bought the RIP first record- great record
Brilliant these guys,
one of the greatest bands ever i still have this on VHS
One of the greatest of all time! Unbelievable live👍
best show ever also best recorded
This band is wonderful. Masked Jackal still my fav of theres. Been playing drums my whole life, rock can never die, it's too much fucking fun.
oke
Great band that was ahead of their time. 1st heard them in 1988 and was blown away by them.
Read My Scars my favorite song on the No More Color album.....great tune.
Marquis Marky is very underrated as a drummer, everything the man plays is phenomenal! Ron and Tommy are great also! What a band of three that can produce such sound! Incredible!
not very good at fills but good time keeper, good feet and odd signatures
One of the best bands of the '80's and totally underrated. Better than Metallica IMHO

What a great live show! Lat alone a fucking great year for somebody that was born to be a videographer!
Just imagine all the brilliant performances from this era that didnt get recorded
sick guitar solos
Great Pro shot of a highly under rated outfit
Guitarist is so sick and the quality of the show is unbelievable. Die by my hand and Masked Jackal are two of my favourite metal songs ever.
Back when great music was written and performed flawlessly. Coroner is a perfect example of how greatness is achieved. Bands just can’t do this anymore. Just my opinion.
ok boomer
They're very tight live and with only 3 members, pretty incredible. That's talent.
This was before they released their two greatest Albums and it still kicks so much danging ass
