The sound engineers did a fucking phenomenal job on mixing this. If it wasn't for them talking to the crowd, this would sound like a studio recording to most folks. Well done engineers!
It’s so good I’m really curious if it was edited/ overdubbed. I’ve seen TBDM quite a few times, but this whole performance has an inhuman level of perfection. They also could just be the best damn death metal band on the planet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@mattv2635 When I saw Beyond Creation I was blown away. Sound quality in a REALLY shitty location and inhuman level of instrument perfection. The only time Kevin Chartré messed up a note was when he was feeling cocky and grinned into the crowd doing funny faces and lost track of the solo. Good laugh. Best solo guitarist out there at the moment in my opinion. Brandons soli are sick and very musical anyway. And yes, incredible live mix. But the really difficult thing is to make it sound good at the event site.
This 100%. Last show I went to was probably around the time they shot this. Pandemics suck. I want to see them and billy strings but idk if I'm going to because the rona.
I regret not making it to a TBDM show since 2013 when they were touring Everblack. RIP Trevor, one of the best lyricists in the metal community. Honestly, if you aren't familiar with his lyrics go and read a few songs. Completely different level.
man Trevor was such a good singer. Too bad he is gone, he is missed. He left a great legacy, great albums, he made story. I'll lift a beer for you, Trevor!!!
He was an absolute legend and a beast, I was lucky enough to see him in 2008, really is a shame things happened that did wanted another chance at seeing them, so I did anyways but man nothing will get close to Trevor in terms of quality.
That's exactly how a livevideo should look like. No bullshit cuts, just letting the lightshow speak for itself. I would like to see some meshuggah vids in this style
Was in Berkeley During the Pandemic in 2021. Couldn't get in because we didn't have our Vaccines even though we had tickets then found out After The Burial wasn't going to play because of restrictions. I then got a little drunk and boom all the confidence hit. Long story short........ I got me and my two friends into the show and as we walked back, as soon as our eyes hit the stage, THE BLACK DAHLIA STARTED THEIR SET! That memory will always be one of the best memories in my life. I knew for some reason I couldn't miss this show. I had to get us in and by the Metal Gods I did. R.I.P Trevor Strnad. Thank you for all the music and all the laughs. Big shout out to Brian and the rest of the guys in TBDM. We all love and support you guys ❤
I've seen these guys 4 times in Vancouver BC , best live shows I've ever seen, the energy was 150%, RIP trevor, so glad I got to meet you that one time...
I miss trevor very much His voice gave and gives me courage in dark times of evil thoughts and depression Thank you so much brother Sincerely Fan since 2009
As I finally have the courage to listen to TBDM again and going through the comments: just know you are not alone with this. We're many more! Keep up man!
I love how the drummer is like "do whatever you want with those lights but I want to see my damn kit at all times" lol smart man, that is disorienting as hell
RIP Trevor. It hurts like a bitch knowing you're gone man. Thank you for so much for all the amazing music, and I only wish that you're free from the demons that haunted you while you were here brother. Please reach out, you're not alone in this world fellow metalheads
I missed this show because my son was born in September and little did I know this would be my last opportunity to see them. Glad it's here to see in all it's glory but Carpe Diem my friends. You never know when something is going to be gone.
RIP Trevor, I have so many great memories of just cruising around with my friends blasting Miasma and Nocturnal back when those first came out, thanks for the memories and all the awesome music.
I remember seeing them at summit when they did the 10 year tour for nocturnal. I remember laughing my ass off when before they played virally yours trevor said "this song goes out to all you fucking perverts out there"
Great set, great sound,,amazing band. RIP Trevor Strnad. "Watching your life flash before both our eyes" & "Where did it come from, how can it be stopped?", Everything Went Black. So fkn heavy
Wow man! They sound awesome! That's an example of a true professional vocalist of extreme metal. From the opening scream on. What a bummer to lose such talent and vitality. We've lost too many....
Wow Contagion sounds absolutely amazing!!! SO good!!! Edit: okay so of course every song performance here is amazing, even statutory ape which they've played a billion times. I'm glad to see Unhallowed material brought to life so energetically
Really fucking awesome to see how far the band has grown over the years. All the lineup changes, up and downs, but yet they fucking kill it every show.
Wow, all the out pour of love to an amazing musician, and human being. This just goes to show how fragile we truly are...physically, and or mentally. The fine lines that separate happiness and depression....
It breaks my heart to see the crowd standing so still. TBDM was in South Africa in March, and let me tell you, that was one crazy crowd. Wish it was possible to see them more often, these peeps are so fortunate watching on the bands home turf.
i doubt ill ever fully recover from this.....heroes get remembered, but legends never die...ill always love trevor and black dahlia, listen to them daily, and still fully support them! rip trevor strnad!!!!

And dont forget the light engineer.
Yah it’s so clean I keep forgetting it’s live
It doesn’t hurt that the band is insanely tight, giving the illusion of a studio performance
