Hello and congratulations for your work, what software is used, sorry if this has already been asked. In fact I am looking for software that can do the Gorewood technique. (The third in your video).
Hi, for this project, I used the CAD System rhino3d (the test version) and also used it to make the unfoldings 3:48. Good luck and fun with your project!
4:41 use the thickest paper that your printer can handle so that your model is not a waste of time. I also think you could have done some more work with the bottom panels to avoid the flat hull section and also get rid of the kink in the bow and stern when viewed from the side.
Thanks for your input. I also thought of making the next model of balsa wood to get a better feeling for the curved areas of the plywood. Now that I learned a bit more about plywood construction I agree that the kink can be reduced or avoided (like the bow of a seggerling sailboat e. g.)
Problem is ....almost all sheets of plywood are 2440 x 1220 in most parts of the world . Will this still fit on those shorter 2440 sheets ? 2500 is not standard.
Hello, I think that should work for the sheets 2 and 3. But not for sheet 1 (bottom parts), especially if the components are to be scarfed, in which case the scarfing area must be added to the end of the parts. But with 4 2440*1220 sheets it should fit. In the video description of the 2nd video there is also a file with the components as vector graphics, so you could also change the segmentation if necessary.
These are full size Plans. I had them printed by a copy shop and used it as paper templates. I tried to explain this in the video. Also I attached a *.svg which is a vector graphic. You can take any measurements you want from in (e. g. In inkscape)
Buenas té saludo desde mi bella Colombia y quería saber si puedes decime las medidas y si puedes ayudarme para tener o fabricar mi canoa como la talla gracias
That swan would have scared me. I have a family of swans swimming past my garden regularly and I can just be sitting still and the parent birds still take offence. I can't imagine what they'd do if I'd be in the water with them... When we moved here, after just a few days going outside, one of our cats ran into our house when theswans came by. Obviously had some experience as well..
Where is a swan here in the video? The swans here on our river are used to people in boats, if you don't frighten them they usually stay peaceful. Nevertheless, I always go far around them.
Thank you for your good video, its amazing bor. So can you send the file of the measerment of the canoe peaces , i want to print and cut according them please.
I am asked this question a lot. I think the community in Germany is relatively small and I want to share my plans and experiences with many people. Also I see it as an opportunity to improve my english :-)
Well done sir, nice video, easy to follow and well explained.

Esta canoa canadense é uma maravilha, por favor me envia este projeto com estas medidas, pois não consigo usando o computador, obrigado
Fantastic boat, fantastic video series and over all job well done. Are your plans available in dfx or svg format? Marty
Thanks! A SVG is attached to this video: th-cam.com/video/pz0cAEkyfa0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oESpP8X5fjUgJerw

Yes looks like I will need 4 sheets total then.Thank you.@@TinkererJake
I have no idea how to interpret the attached images as plans. Are there measurements somewhere?

@@TinkererJake Ok thanks. Was just opening as pdf for me. I'll have to look into that

Hallo! Besten danke für deine Projekt!!
Es ist sehr nett von dir😃
Wie groß müssen die Zeichnungen gedruckt werden?
Besten danke aus Venetien
Vielen Dank! Die Zeichnungen haben die Größe DIN A0. Viel Spaß mit dem Projekt!
@@TinkererJake nochmal Dankeschön

Motiva tu proyecto gracias

There are templates for the pieces in the video description (*.pdf). Also you find a *.svg which is a vector graphic in mm of all parts.
@@TinkererJake thank you bro.
