If you are a meat lover, partaking of a traditional Savaji mutton meal is a must when in Hubli. Served in traditional homes of the Savaji community, almost hidden away in tiny bylanes of the city, the dishes are cooked by the women of the house and served exclusively by the menfolk. In this episode, we venture out to Nakod Savaji Khanavali in Durgadbail, and are rewarded with a delicious mutton meal, notwithstanding the seemingly brusque welcome and service ritual that only goes to reinforce the fact that it is all about the food here! Whilst at the eatery, we also take a peek into the kitchen to meet three generations of the Nakod family, including the women folk who cook the sheep-based fare to recipes that have been handed down through generations. I've been to that place 4-5 times. it's one of the best place in Karnataka to have non-veg. Mutton is soft and juicy. When you take a first bite of mutton, you will be lost in taste. 🌹 Salute to their wives for cooking awesome food.

Such hard working family and absolutely home style food prepared daily. Women does all the hard work cooking the meal but the Nakod brothers also keep themselves busy in serving and dealing with hungry customers.
I was enjoying the video but you started to hurry up towards the end to complete the meal and rightly so since other hungry customers were waiting their turn. I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog 👍

I am from Nagpur, situated in the central India and a renowned city of Maharashtra.
The Saoji / Savaji cuisine is basically from Nagpur.
It's a hot spicy and red coloured food generally famous for Non vegetarian Dishes.
The menu that they have in Hubli and the name Savaji matches very much to the Saoji/ Savaji cuisine of Nagpur.
North Karnataka and Maharashtra have a lot of similarities

They migrated from Mp to South India.The river narmada in Maheshwar(mp) they worship of Sahatrarjun Bhagawan we're they origin and Also worship of kulaswamini Tulajabhawani Temple in Tuljapur, Maharashtra and Shri Chattrapati shivaji Maharaj.
