    15:08 it shows you put 260 psi into the NEGATIVE chamber, but didn't show putting any into the POSITIVE chamber, which might explain why it bottoms out so easy at 15:22 ?

    Just as an FYI guys. Air shocks are great but most of you will realize real soon, it may be softer than you'd like afterwards PLUS require consistent maintenance. A BETTER solution (in my opinion) is... EXA Form 291R for both front and back. They make it in a 125,150,165. They are an adjustable Coil/Hydraulic system. You can choose the (LB) of the spring and ajust the return of the Hydraulic. Its a better solution IMO. Pure air shocks will need to be ajusted and refilled constantly with use. Remember you can run 125 in the front. You are not REQUIRED to use 135.

    Please make a version of the 10x with a proper hinge mechanism for the handlebar so that there's no slack and allows handlebars clip to the board. Adjustable would be nice also.

    And be very careful which air shock you get for the front end of zero 10x,it's a 125mm shock but if it has the valve stems for main chamber and negative air then it won't fit cuz there's not enough space and the valves get in the way..have to buy a different type 125mm that just a straight type tube assembly.

    Ok falcon pev you're awesome but I'm too dumb for this but can i use both 165mm on front and rear Or the rear 165mm and front 135mm? Why should the front have a smaller length of travel? Is this ideal?

    Any official torque values for these fasteners ?
    I would not dream about replacing wheels or suspension components on my motorcycle with nuts and bolts at simply the “tight” value
    And would feel uncomfortable knowing a shop would have me going 60kph without proper assembly say of my front forks.
    “Tight enough” is a different value to the same person on different days, or between two individuals.

    Guys thanks for making these videos!There are several serious problems with regard to the safety of the scooter.1) The location of the rear footrest and the fact that it is sharp, if a person standing next to the scooter accidentally sharply presses the trigger, it will cut the ankle.I had a different situation in 1 Day of my use.After the battery is empty I just started to push like a conventional scooter and touched this sensitive bandwagon leg ,the result of the tendon rupture and 3 months on crutches,still healing.Upgrade this item please.2) the Front shock absorber is very weak for such a weight, and not on compression but on the contrary on pulling out, I fell apart right at the exit from the curb, Blocked the wheel and I flew over the steering wheel,everything went bruised.Please pick the new dampers for the front suspension urgent! Tried EXA RR1,it does not pump up normally during the installation.

    • @moahunta9055
      @moahunta9055 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The stock position of the front suspension is wound out quite a lot and is prone to bottoming out, you can adjust the preloading on it by turning the threaded collar above the coil - HOWEVER! in doing this make sure that your cableing is not impacted as you can easily sever the cables if you don't ensure they are clear and have enough slack.
      The models Falcon PEV advise to use are either the cheaper DNM AO-42AR: www.ebay.com/itm/DNM-AO-42AR-Bike-Air-Rear-Shock-165x38mm-XC-Trail-AM-2-system/252115744164?hash=item3ab344f5a4:g:4gcAAOSw4CFYpr40 (think that is the right one)
      Or the top of the line AOY-36RC: www.ebay.com/itm/123913453028
      I can't see too much of a price difference there and it might pay to get from an offical source.
      Make sure to check your mount sizes too, to ensure it all fits snuggly.
      In regards to the "Rear footrest", do you mean the kickstand(the bit you flip down so the scooter will stand on it's own)?
      I too would like to see a replacement option for these as now that I've preloaded my suspension, mine is too short and my scooter leans over a lot when resting on it. I also understand what you mean by it possibly being quite sharp - picture here of one: www.blacksheeptrading.co.nz/product/sonic-2000-zero-10x-electric-scooter-stand/
      This design could be modified in future iterations to be more streamlined when not supporting the scooter.
      I see a similar issue with the new heavy duty clamp for the front stem - Very square edges, and located on the front. If you accidently hit someone, I expect it would easily tear a hole in them.
      Apart from these and one cable issue, I'm loving mine.

    What I want to know is...How did you attach the rear light Holder to the shock cuz there is no room at the top of it for installation of products unlike the top of the coil shock which is more forgiving in regards to accessory add-ons.(update)watching the end of video closely it looks like the bracket is attached to the far side top screw that secures the top of the shock.The opening clip of the coil shock getting worked over,if one looks closely you can see the adjustment screw at top of spring is screwed way down to add extreme tension on shock.that is where the Macury shock adjuster will come in handy..bring the spring screw upwards toward tail and the ride is far better and always remember to keep the shocks clean,oh ya..I had to pump up the air shock everytime I went out cuz they do loose pressure somewhat.

    Sorry for saying this but boy are you rough doing this type of work.... The way you were banging that swing arm back on was brutal. A simple solution would have been to just take the back wheel off and out of the way, giving you enough space to align both swingarm sides and mate them together evenly..... This ladies and gents is why I do all my own work on my motorcycles and scooters. I'd be super annoyed seeing marks all over the place from someone banging away. Yes it's a nylon hammer, but scratches are a thing.

      150 main, 75 negative. You need "shock air pump" with special release. Impossible with regular tire pump, all air escapes on disconnect.

      @moahunta9055 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What were you doing to those poor things? I jump speed bumps and off curbs and never had any issues - 300km later and still going strong. - They do get dirty with the current design and I need to clean and grease them on the regular, especially when using offroad.

    • @varsityrecords4you
      @varsityrecords4you 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes was having a bit of a rant. But yeah, my friend has the identical scooter and his front failed a week later too, but his front snapped and he face planted lol. I’d still check them frequently as my jumping was very simple, nothing major. But since then replaced the shocks with bike shocks and haven’t had an issue. The shocks and locking clamps are dodge and common issues apparently, but once both those replaced with better gear the 10X is a machine!!!

    • @Maltmeister1

      I have and don't do it,stick with the original coil shocks..air shocks don't give you the same ride comfort as the original.

    • @varsityrecords4you
      @varsityrecords4you 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually what we eventually did is get air shocks but used original coil, works really well. Yeah the coils on other models way too soft

    • @HollywoodEDC
      @HollywoodEDC 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can use EXA 291R for both front and back. They make 125,150,165. They are an adjustable Coil/Hydraulic. You can choose the (LB) of the spring and ajust the return of the Hydraulic. Its a better solution IMO. Pure air shocks will need to be ajusted and refilled constantly with use.
