And it can go offroad, won't toss you hitting a pebble or wear out a set of $80 urethane wheels in a month. Electric longboards suck.

I got a zero 10x 5 months ago and to follow are the problems I have had with it and the plus points:
    1) i got a puncture in the first 4 days of owning it and had to drill the hole out (I bought it from the same company I got the bike from) to make the new tube valve stem fit. Also the tube was outsized and folded over in the tire making it so that slime liquid rubber would not seal.
    2) The nuts are very poor quality and a loose fit with a good set of allen keys.. One of the rear shock absorber nuts fell out after owning it for three months (I did tighten when purchased). Surely they could use a nut that goes all of the way through with a cotter pin to keep it in rather than one on each side.
    3) After owning it for two months (1,500 km) the steering loosened up and became very sticky at the center position, dangerous around corners as it sticks and lets go. Apparently this is something they set up to hold the steering in a straight line.
I have heard good things about their build quality, however, I am not a fan.
    Plus point:
    1) very zippy and fun to ride.
    2) I get over 50 km range at 20 kph.
My take: at $2,500 dollars aud very overpriced for the quality. i could buy a motorcycle for this price.

I personally would go look at most 1000w 48v electric scooters that are off road... i have a viper blade 1000 it cost uk £440 and will do exactly the same as the x10... the viper vlade will go 30mph and if riden slow in eco mode will get you around 24 miles on semi flat ground if you weigh about 85kg..
Also the x10 is 5kg more and costs an incredible amount considering the viper blade costs 1/4 of the x10 and can do the same job just as well...

    • @diegomichel2248
      @diegomichel2248 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@milkncheese1 Not exactly, the viper blade wont give you the same as the 10x, the zero 10x give you a more comfotable ride, a litle bit more range and speed, also a good Point worth considering at least for me personally is the build quality and design
However, The Viper Blade is a really good option for the money

I have the Zero 10x version of this. I have had mine to 38mph. You
should only do this on a very smooth road. The steering geometry leaves
much to be desired and it will easily get away from you the faster you
go. Rough roads demand extra concentration. It is so squirmy that you
do not dare take one hand off the bars to scratch you nose or to get
that bug out of your eye. My feeling is that it should have the same
sort of trailing geometry that motorcycles have but this is far from the
case. This probably somewhat due to the 10" wheels, but I'm sure
someone could make this better. The suspension is pretty good, but the
steering stalk does not instill confidence at all. It creaks ever time
you touch it and constantly on rough roads along with a little be a play
at the base where the clamps are supposed to hold it to be more rigid.
10 hours to charge. It you are going to commute with this, I hope you
are working long hours so you can charge it to come home.

There is no control on these merchants and manufacturers who deploy scooters able to reach 100Km/h, what a crazy and stupid thing!
They do this so they can sell more, kids want faster and faster scooters and they don't care about the max range.
I got the Emove Cruiser and the brakes make noise all the time and every scooter will always have a problem.
The battery takes 13 hours to charge because stupid merchant supply the scooter with a cheap $20 2 Amp charger!

Very professional sounding review and voice over there.
A little tip from the viewing perspective - drop background soundtrack by 10% and raise commentary audio by 10%.
I found myself sometimes showing more of my attention to the video footage and background music as opposed to the video footage and your commentary track. Just a bit of friendly feedback for future content should you still be approaching this style of review going forward.
Nonetheless a very nice review of this scooter. I know that 1600 can be seen as pricey, but imho I think it is a waste unless you need real budget 400 dollar stuff to make a scooter and not put dual motors and dual disc brakes. They dont have to be 1000w motors and top of the line discs, they could just be 300/500 watt motors.
Thanks for the content, thanks thumbs up - watching from 🇬🇧

Just broke this scooter today after almost 3 years and 1300km. Not the stem, but the front arc in the place where is the hole for the cable in it, which I see as very dangerous design flaw. I will try to post some video to see what has happend. First I do not jumps on it, I am just driving very rough road from my house to the downtown, with lots of holes in it, so that is why I bought this one. So my point is, be careful, check the front arc and don't buy scooters with this design flaw.

@@artemmalyutin477 One safety concern is the wheel diameter can't cope with hitting potholes. Plus, some of these scooters have burst into flames due to motor burn out/lithium ion battery. I understand that there have been some fatal accidents with them too.
To legally use motorised transport on the roads, I understand you generally need: Licence plates, lights, horn, indicators & MOT/insurance. An MOT may be difficult!. At the moment, they're not street legal, so you may get stopped. An item recently on SKY News did an undercover op where a guy selling them wrongly told the reporter that they're like bikes & can be ridden on pavements - No!. Bicycles aren't allowed on pavements, except shared-use.
E-bikes are limited to 15 mph by law, but some more powerful scooters can go faster & I've already seen a request on YT from a guy wanting to know how to unrestrict them, which isn't exactly legal.
Imagine being miles from home, get the scooter out & realise you've not fully charged it.....Could be a hassle when the battery runs out.I'd go for a folding bike. Pedalling requires no batteries & keeps you fit!. Plus, quite legal although insurance is thoroughly recommended.

    • @mashedpotatoes5323
      @mashedpotatoes5323 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Moleanimationchannel dual motors makes a huge difference, I also have a single motor es4 that goes around 23mph with a 13s battery and a similar 48v 1000watt controller and it's complete ass compared to my dual motor one. Dual motors has a lot more traction accelerating and going up hills is way faster and with the 16s battery it goes around 30, although if you beat on it for more than 15 minutes the motors get hot to touch and at that point you risk burning the enamel on the windings and/or demagnetizing the magnets. I currently don't have any breaks but I'm making a bracket to install a bike break on the back wheel.

@@Moleanimationchannel I agree that the ninebot scooter is a piece of junk though, not including all the crappy electronics it has the frame falls apart really easily and I actually had one stem snap on me at the base, although besides the rubber on the motors deteriorating really fast the motors seem really robust and I haven't had any hall sensor problems or melted wires/connectors and they are all the same

Both my charging sockets were loose from day 1 as I bought
mine delivered and assembled. Been zapped by both now even
melted the prongs on one. Put it in to get fixed and they also adjusted the brakes, slightly different
charge sockets, stem has been tightened up no creaking no
and for some reason my display was changed too. I only paid
for the charge port replacement and the shop never mentioned
anything else but I know what’s been changed it’s obvious to me.
