He played one year for our company Christmas party and was solid. Things got dark for him a few years ago with some arrests and other issues, not sure where he's at today but hope he's doing well. He's still around the Indianapolis area--he still performs a little. I saw him at the Chris Isaak/Lyle Lovett concert at Everswise Ampitheatre Downtown, in 2022. As tall as he is, he's kind of hard to miss! 🤣 He looked pretty good!
I saw HLS live in Costamesa, Cal. He was the opening act to Chicago, my favorite band, I traveled from Mexico City to LA only to see my favorite band (09-1989). I did not know about HLS, I think very under reted artist. Since then I listen very much to his music.

On a whim in '88, I bought the Henry Lee Summer self titled album at Payless in scenic LaGrande, OR. Every song was good, what a voice. In '89, went back for the incredible second album. He bumped some major artists down the charts, Robert Plant wasn't too happy w/ HLS's Billboard presence.
I ve been looking for this song since the first time I heard it plus there was a video to it. I only heard it once back in the day. Gave up the search. Came across it today. I know there's a better recording of it somewhere I just don't like live music.
