This is a good step. I have a Legion Go now and I love it. The only change I would really make is to add more RAM. I hope Lenovo keeps the detachable controllers and other features form the Go when it comes out with the second-gen of the product.
Im drawn man. I own a steam deck lcd and want something more powerful (not oled version) but if the steam os version doesnt have a desktop mode ill be loosing out on to much emulations etc
Valve posted an article about SteamOS being on the Legion Go S, and it has a short FAQ with this info in it: "Is a user locked into playing only Steam games? No, if players wish to they can go to desktop mode and install other game launchers and software if they wish."
I'll be buying the Lenovo legion go 2 , the windows version.. I'm getting the most powerful Lenovo legion go 2 they are selling. I just hope there will be enough for everyone. Thank you Lenovo.
@CraitMerc AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 is the only update I've done. It's been fantastic ever since, but I had to download it from the AMD website because they haven't given us an official Legion Go update since April/May 2024. It's Lenovo's fault. All my other Lenovo devices get an AMD update except the Lego.
@@CraitMercSide loading the mainline AMD drivers (780m drivers) It can help performance or compatibility in some games and makes it easier to use AMD eGPUs
This is a ridiculous statement. I use the Legion Go daily and it never feels heavy. Asking to basically cut the weight in HALF is nonsensical, as is comparing this to the Switch. The Switch is a child's toy, designed for children. The current generation of handheld gaming devices are not toys.

I wonder if Lenovo will ever update this trash or just leave it to head to the landfill like they do all their other devices. They should officially license some updates for all the poor people that buy their phones. 1.6 lbs is almost 2 ipads... that's pretty heavy
@@sophieedel6324 How is it locked down? As far as I know you can do almost anything you can do with a normal Linux machine with Steam OS in desktop mode.
@@dimap- SteamOS is custom Arch with custom package repositories, no one knows what Valve all stripped out, but the fact it doesn't even support a printer because they stripped CUPS means it has been heavily heavily stripped of functionality.

No 80wh battery, Legion no go for me 🤷
2.5K - 3K display would have been nice.
