  • For froyo, take yogurt and freeze it. You can add fresh fruit if you wish. Once ready for the Creami I put a tad bit of milk on top and hit the button.

      @@southernsoul152 I'm not sure. Someone was using it everyday or almost every day. I made some homemade frozen custard again and on the last pint it started making a different noise. Then, it just stopped and the lights were all blinking. The was down in it and metal shavings were everywhere in it. The blade and the metal shift coming out of the machine looked burnt up. It also had a burning smell. I still love it and they sent me a new one after I sent them mine.

    Few questions, if you know::
    Do you think 2% milk, honey, and vanilla extract would work?
    And do you think making instant pudding and freezing it would work?
    Also, I watched one person pour canned fruit, with the juice, in there and freeze it, and she said it came out well, but didn't include a close up. Have you tried fruit or fruit juice, and if so, how did it come out?
    Thanks.
    Thanks.

      Are you talking about just milk, honey, and vanilla? I'm not sure, but you could try it. I think my daughter tried milk with some type of flavoring and she said it just tasted like ice milk.
      I've done instant pudding and love love love it! I've done instant pudding a few ways. I have done the big box with 2 cups of milk in one pint. Delicious but way too much for one pint, it was so full. I've done 1 box of pudding with 3 cups of milk, that seems to work much better! That makes 2 pints. I've also done a vanilla icecream base then add 1 to 2 tablespoons of dry pudding mix. That works great as well. When I do the 1 or 2 tablespoons I've done the regular pudding and the sugar free one and both taste great to me. I haven't tried the whole box of 0 sugar pudding with 3 cups of milk for 2 pints yet.
      The pudding mix is one of my favorites because of all of the yummy pudding flavors you can buy.
      I've also done 1 or 2 tablespoons of dry pudding as a mix in and not in the base but it was a little gritty.
      I think the only fruit I've tried so far was the can of fried apples. So, I know can fruit should work. One bite of that is what sold my husband on the creami. He fell in love. If you don't like the texture just add a tiny bit milk. You could probably do half and half or heavy whipping cream as well.
      I've currently got homemade custard mixed up in the freezer. It turned out awesome the first time, so hopefully it does this time as well. I'll see if I can remember to do a video when I mix it in the creami. I use this machine so much.

    I make mine with a banana, strawberries or a little strawberry jam for strawberry banana flavor, a little heavy cream - it comes out incredibly smooth and just like a frogurt. I process on smoothie bowl.

      @@CookWithMae. I used canned pumpkin, added pumpkin pie spice and sugar or maple syrup, added plain yogurt and then added cream. Adjusted the sugar and the spices until it is just a little stronger than I thought I'd like (usually splices seem weaker to me when cold). Mixed it all good in a bowl and filled my Creami container and used smoothie bowl the next morning. We liked it - I will play with the ratios a little more - but with granola and pecans it was very delicious.

    How did you like the ice cream made with pudding mix? Did you use instant or non instant pudding mix? I tried it using 1/2 of a 4 serving box of instant, and the ice cream turned out gummy and gross. I did whisk it in the milk first. Not sure what went wrong.

    • @CookWithMae.
      @CookWithMae.  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We love the pudding mix. I use instant pudding. How much milk did you use? I do it a few different ways and each way is great. I haven't had any gummy ones yet. I've taken vanilla soft serve mix and made a vanilla icecream base then added a little pudding mix. I've also used a little pudding mix as a mix in. I tried 2 cups of milk with a box of pudding but that was too full in my opinion. So, I also take the box of pudding and mix it like the box says and put it in 2 pints. So far nothing has been gummy. All were thick, creamy, and delicious. What type of milk do you use? I use whole milk with my pudding. I've used 2 percent with soft serve mix and my son said it wasn't as good, so I haven't tried it with pudding yet.
