1st time I saw them was 44 years ago and this show was magic. This was my 16 year old daughter's first Pretenders show. She was shocked when I told her Chrissie's age.....she hasn't changed and her voice sounds the same as it did 40 years ago.....Guitar player and band are the best version of the band I've seen since the original. Thank you so much for capturing a great moment in time!
I saw them 8/13 at the Masonic Hall in SanFrancisco and was blown away. As you say her voice has not diminished at all and the guitar player "James Walboure" was phenomenal.
Thanks for commenting. Was not the easiest conditions with lots of times getting bumped, others talking during slower songs and heads/phones to navigate around. Glad you enjoyed though.
So excited to see her- for me, live music never disappoints. After the lockdown, I realized how crazy beautiful it is to be in a crowded concert, or backyard show hearing a musician. ♥️🌌
Saw Pretenders since their 1st album came out up until this July 13th. She sure is punk! Also my personal advice never explain yourself to a man you don’t know. Be excited all you want!
I couldn’t wait for this and at the Fillmore OMG !! A smaller venue I loved it what a Great night !! Thanks Chrissy and the band for a fantastic show!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for posting. I saw the Pretenders on July 13th in Redbank, NJ. The flashlight police were out. No recording or phones out. Now I can relive! ❤
Interesting. Was not that way at Philly show. I understand the policy because many use their phones and “block” the view of others. I do my best to keep my phone “within my space” so no more blocking than my body already doing. Thanks for reaching out. Saw the Red Bank set was a little different. Enjoy!
My fellow Fat Little Demons bandmate and I were there and I love the fact that we can share the amazing evening with our other two bandmates. A thousand thank yous! ❤
I thought perhaps I had 2 videos playing at the same time because I kept hearing people talking... but sadly it was the audio from this show. I don't know why people attend concerts and TALK during them!!
The guitar solos were to right side of stage which was unfortunately blocked by some rather tall people so I did not even pan over. Wish I had a clearer position to cover more of the stage. The fun of a general admission show. I almost dropped my phone about a dozen times getting bumped into. Thanks for watching.
They did not. This was second show of tour and they did not perform exactly same set each night. First night they did not do MYSTERY ACHIEVEMENT but TATTOED LOVEBOYS instead.

No Martin Chambers on drums....a founding member of the band disappears, and nobody mentions it? Crissie with a band old enough to be her grandsons...I just can't get excited about this line-up of the Pretenders.
What? No Brass in Pocket? No Stop your Sobbing? No I'll Stand By You? No Don't Get me Wrong? No Back on the Chain Gang? What the heck is wrong with them?
The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in March 1978. The original band consisted of founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion). Following the deaths of Honeyman-Scott in 1982 and Farndon in 1983, the band experienced numerous personnel changes; Hynde has been the band's only consistent member.
Chrissie and Martin Chambers have been together since the inception of the Pretenders, if I'm not mistaken. I've been a Fan'Girl since their first Album... I'm a Dinosaur. 😉
Encore covered some “hits” and that is on separate video. They played songs from their newer 2023 album Relentless so less slots for the “older stuff “.

Brilliant show. Thanks for documenting.
Not really
Did Chrissie ask US audiences not to film or foto the gig, or only UK audiences?....
Finally!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A full lenght Pretenders concert, fully filmed, top notch quality to boot!! wonderful!!
Thanks a lot for rep'ing!!

@@MyConcertLifeAJB OMG these people yapping. I'm seeing the show Wednesday and I'll be pissed if people near me talk through it like that.
@@akinsch Enjoy the show. I always seem to stand to talkers, screamers and off key singers.
I was there it was awesome. And this great video let's me relive that great show.❤❤

Almost embarrassed to admit/forever fan/first time live-MIND-BLOWING show.
Chrissy Hynde is PUNK. And I love it.

Chrissie HATES looking out into the audience and seeing a bunch of cellphones I have read.
@@dianemalezi4583 As does the audience! It ruins the vibe and view. I was expecting more thoughtfulness from this older demographic.
@@dianemalezi4583- Well aware of what she likes & doesn’t. I have been seeing the band since 1980.

I feel bad saying this
but if i were there , I would have loved to hear yet another rendition of Don't Get Me Wrong
I would have loved to have heard that song as well. I see they did play it as part of their Washington DC show encore.

Martin Chambers?
I was wondering the same. He's hasn't appeared on any of the concerts of the current tour
