I was like the sense of reasoning on the group is low .

Yes, not just brand but even the model, we've insured two different mercedes and the bigger more expensive one had a cheaper insurance. So the also consider the safety features of the car which is something newer cars offer. Overall If you have any car in mind get insurance quotes online before you buy.

Just to add on what Tochi has explained. A driving test is £62 but passing is not a guarantee. I have had friends and family who have passed on the 6th test. Huh annoying. 😭😭

Learning to drive is a major investment in U.K. From my own experience,Learner Drivers have a great pass rate than Qualified Drivers from abroad. The bad mannerisms inculcated in those abroad drivers are not tolerated here thereby making them to fail their practical tests. Get a good driving instructor and watch TH-cam videos after each lesson. Be prepared to spend at least £1500 to get a full U.K. Driving License. It is what it is.

If you don't declare convictions or points on your licence to the insurance company, if you have an accident, they will refuse to pay. You cannot drive without insurance!
