Well she needs to focus on herself! She is his wife and not a mommy figure. Somebody needs to be there for her. If she gets pregnant she cannot be lifting Cole and postpartum she is going to need help. This is not a movie sequel to "The Help"!

I’ve been in healthcare for 30plus years. This is the first time I’ve seen/watched this process. It’s such a deep commitment and great love and endurance that you both show. Praying your efforts result in a precious little life. Thank you for taking time to include us in your journey. Prayers ✝️

So very thoughtful of you to encourage Cole and Charisma by sharing your story.🙏
You two, watching this I have so much to say, but I’ll try to be brief. I know it’s been 34 years since my pioneering experience, but some things don’t change. The SHOTS. My husband used to travel, so I felt very much alone during a large part of my experience,but I DISTINCTLY remember Dan trying to participate/coach/ encourage me during the process. Charisma, Cole’s tears were because he wants to give you the right kind of support, but can’t seem to get it right. And it frankly isn’t possible for him to get it right…he’s the bystander and you’re on the front line…but this trip is just beginning. When you get pregnant with your baby/ babies, you’re still going to be on the front line, with the growing of a child and then the nourishing of that child when it gets here. It’s God’s decision to put the woman on the front line, and that’s because we have special strength for this stuff. Our problem wasn’t mine; it was a sperm thing with Dan, which compounded his “guilt,” but I had to take my body and throw it at the problem, praying I would pull off a straight-up miracle. With God’s help and answered prayers, we did. Got my beautiful twin boys, but not without a huge emotional and physical struggle. Our marriage survived it, thankfully, but believe me, it got sharpish a few times! I can see you struggling for patience and Cole struggling for the right words and moves. It’s normal (for something so abnormal). Stay committed to the process and to one another. Remember I said that once you’ve experienced infertility, you will always have a special bond with others who are going through it. I’m 71 now, and I feel you, kiddo! I feel you! But God is faithful.
I read this whole comment! I see them replying to comments here and there on most of their videos so I really hope they see this one. They usually get so many and I imagine it’s hard to keep up. I especially love what you said about how women are created to handle certain things. Our creator had a perfect plan in mind didn’t he! I’m glad you and your husband were blessed with twins and made it through the sharpish days. 💞

Elexis,thanks for your response. I hope they see it, too. They responded to my first one where I told them about my miracles conceived in Dallas when this stuff kind of first launched. My pregnancy was in 1989…ages past. I want them to be successful soooo badly, and I know God answers prayers, right?

I heard about IVF but never knew how much went into it. I would NEVER do this at all. It is too much to get a baby. But I really hope you guys get your heart's desire.
Good luck with your journey. My wife and I had our rainbow baby through IVF. It was a long process and expensive, but it was worth it. We also opted to have our embryos genetically tested. It was an additional $5000 expense but it was worth it bc out of the 7 embryos that matured only 2 were genetically viable.
Does tht mean...2 wouldn't have any
,genetic issues tht would develop ?

Awesome to read your experience from the man's pov. I hope they opt for genetic testing being as though it's an option.
@jacquelynjackson3198 Yeah only two embryos were genetically viable for pregnancy, like the other person commented the other 5 likely would've ended in miscarriage or had severe genetic deformity if carried to term.
Thanks so much for sharing! We thought long and hard about genetically testing and actually decided against it. Hoping for the best, though! So glad it worked out for y'all!
As a person who is struggling with infertility, my prayers go out to you too. I cannot imagine going through this coz i cant stand needles. Wishing you the very best. I just have a feeling it will work out.

The amount of love between you 2 is always a joy to watch. So strong to be able to do IVF . I personally couldn’t do it. Much respect to all who can.
Charisma, allow your husband to be a part. It is evident that the rubbing you means a lot to him because he probably wishes he could do more. This is a shared experience so let him do what is needed. Don't be so strong that you act as if you are annoyed. I am not saying you are but it came across that way a little. He is tearing up because he does not want you to have to go through that. Tell him where he can rub you or maybe hold each other after for a minute. It can convey, I don't need you to help me and men are wired to be solution driven. Cole is still a champ though!

I disagree. Her comfort here is more important at that moment. I would get SO annoyed having someone hang over me and saying stuff. Doesn't mean I don't appriciate the support or care, just not in that moment. Honestly I was suprised she could even go so long with him hanging over. And that is no shade at all to him. Ofc he wants to support and be involved. It's really hard being on the sidelines. But whatever way makes her most comfortable, if that's a supportive hand and lovely words or just getting to be alone and get it over with, is what they have to do.
This is so hard to watch charisma take these shots 😬😟🥹 and to see cole’s face each time. Wow. Just wow. 💖💜💕💝💗🙏🏽

Am amazed by Charisma's positive attitude. So many women get so hormonally freaked they are miserable and when the pregnancy hormones hit are upset thinking they already had the worst. All I can say is breathe slowly, drink lots of water, journal.
What I noticed most in these videos is the love you both have for each other and the commitment you have to growing your beautiful little family.
I'd never really stopped to think about the details in the process of IVF, with all the shots, etc. And it made it so relatable to see how watching all those shots affected Cole. He's definitely hero partner material! I think in his very soul, he felt that with you, Charisma.

The key to a shot NOT hurting is you HAVE to fully relax the area. You're tensing up and then it's gonna hurt. Focus on just making that thigh (or whatever part) completely relaxed like nothing is gonna happen. If you have to, have Cole poke your shoulder on the opposite side or something then focus your tension there. You have to completely relax the area getting the shot. You KNOW the shot won't hurt you so there's no need to tense up because at most, 30 secs of discomfort and it's over, right? Well if you relax it first, you may not even feel the shot at all. So try that. Truly, it works SO well. So, sit down, fully relax it like it's not there (focus somewhere else) then just do the shot and be done before you have to think about it. It'll be ok. You can't be standing up and doing it in the thigh, lol You can't relax the muscle that way.
I appreciate the advice but truly, it’s so much easier said than done. It’s a huge mental hurdle. Needles don’t bother me and never have but giving myself a needle, that right there is hard. What I learned from this is to breath out while poking myself. That has made the shots much easier to do. It’s more mental than anything.
this isn't true. the pain often comes from the medication burning the skin as the needle pierces it, that's why some hurt and others don't. i inject medications and some i cant feel and others are awful.
This is definitely not true. I'm never tense when I get shots and it still hurts.
@@coleandcharisma I know the feeling. I give myself a monthly migraine injection each month and it hurts going in! Gotta make myself just do it.. it stops so many migraines I know its worth the momentary discomfort. It'll be worth it all when the baby comes!

I did IVF in the very early stages of it being available to the patients. It has changed a bunch for sure. I wish you didn’t need it. I promise you this that it is very worth it in the end and many women become pregnant and after 1 IVF pregnancy they can naturally conceive. All great vibes and prayers are going your way for sure.

Progesterone shots were the most miserable part. They HURT, swelled up, ugh! Glad you don’t have to do them.

So many shots! I did IVF 27 years ago. I had follistim shots than I gave myself in the thigh. The trigger shot and had progesterone shots (they were the worst!)
I know how hard this is, but it's so worth it once you get there. I did 6 IUI's and 3 embryo transfers. Finally I bought some eggs from a very lovely donor and it worked! I'm 17 weeks with my baby girl. You've got this!!!
Was it expensive to buy eggs... I'm super curious honestly. .. I waited 15 years for my son so I definitely understand the struggle
@MaddHeather it was extremely expensive. I paid $57,000 cdn but it was worth it for me. I'm happy for you that you had your son. It's crazy how many women struggle.

Awww! I'm sorry for your loss. After living with my elderly parents to help them after Dad got Alzheimer's, I understand caregiver stress and heartbreak. Mom lasted 4 yrs after. They were married 59 yrs and my mom said "he still gives me butterflies in my tummy when he walks in the room". I always wanted that kind of husband. It sounds like yours was amazing too. Again, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're without him. ❤

I really hope all the good things come to you guys. I too know how frustrating,emotionally draining, and at some time pain trying to conceive can be. Even though our fertility journey wasn't that complex and the fertility drug clomid helped me ovulate....it still left a agonizing hole in my heart that i will forever sympathize and emphasize with anyone's fertility journey... may god bless you guys❤️❤️

Thank you for documenting the journey. I did not have a clue as to the IVF process and it is no easy feat and I do feel it for all couples who have to take this route but I get the desire and need to do so to achieve the ultimate goal of having babies. Wish you well in the egg retrieval and fertilisation.

I know how hard it is, Charisma, but short-term pain pain=long term goal 👶 I know you're more than aware of this. It's a great idea to do your leg shot sitting down in the biggest muscle so there's more for the med to absorb into.

Wishing you guys all the best! I went through IVF to conceive my son. We were successful on our third transfer and our rainbow baby was born. We also opted to do genetic testing and that was helpful. All the embryos we tested came back normal.
