The alternator on my 98 Altima died last night. After watching several DIY videos on TH-cam I chose your video to coach me on replacing it myself. It was understandable, accurate, and comprehensive. I didn't make a single mistake. No more brake and battery warning lights. The car ran fine when I was all done. Thanks a lot for making this video. (",)
Nice Job. Comment saved me about 45 min. All the garages around me closed. Like ur idea front bottom long bolt with just the stationing bolt. Then the longer wrench for that back bottom bolt plus dip stick removal. GREAT ! Then the tension shit. always think after I am done I going to blow the bearings out . YOUR WIRE IDEA IS GREAT FOR MARKING ! Good job man, great video, perfect . BE SAFE , Thanx Melvin
I'd like to say thanks. My car is a 1996 Altima, a bit different but all the same. Thanks. . Thanks alot. I had to replace mine after my car died on me on the highway. It was fun replacing it. Very detailed information

I’ve followed each step you have but now my 97 Altima is running hot and the coolant boiling over. Do you know what that may be
The tip for belt tightness is great! Also interesting that you didn't remove the upper radiator hose.
Yeah I know I didn’t want to have to bleed the cooling system
Hey sorry what size bolts are you using I can't seem to get mine to fit right

I have alternator on but I hear a slight squeak as the belt turns, how to get rid of the sound?
You can either get the belt squeek spray or tighten the tensioner more
@@DtunedPerformance ok, thanks!
Thank you so much!
I've taken all the bolts out, it's wiggles and moves back and forth but won't come, any idea why?
Use a prybar to help remove the alternator
Thanks!!!
I put mine on and the belt is squeezing a lot why can it be that ?
My car is a 2000 Nissan Altima
Same year
