  • HOW YOU CAN HAVE A SAY IN WHO GETS A FREE GUITAR! This is where you will be able to share your nomination and why you think they should be considered as a recipient. As a supporter, you will also help design guitars with your vote...how cool is that?!!! Follow this Link to the Patreon Page! www.patreon.com/user?u=47277258
I will be giving a guitar away that might resonate with fans of Prince and fans of Cloud Guitars. EMG Pickups, Schaller Hardware...own a beautiful custom guitar! "Lets Build A Guitar" and give it away!
Would you consider partnering with me through Patreon to make some dreams happen? Let's give this world something to smile about and fight for JOY! I have been building guitars for 12 years. Some of my guitars are played by professional musicians, including musicians who played with our Minnesota's Own Prince.
For this to work, I will need patron support through Patreon. The more support, the more guitars to give away and I will film it for your pleasure! I've gotta pay for parts somehow :) The first guitar featured was in process prior to developing the idea and already has a destination, however my hope is to continue building guitars and giving them away to individuals who need a boost in life. This might not be the criteria for every guitar given away, but it will be for the majority. _____________________________________________________________________

I really found your locking nut tips helpful but the ending of your video was the real treasure. Thanks for the reminder. 😊
PS: Sorry for the loss of your mother. My dad also died years ago and mom is now 92. Have to enjoy every day with her.

I use locknuts on almost all my builds. When dealing with a Fender style neck, I just take it down with a Shinto rasp by hand - takes like 5 minutes. A fret pulling guard fits nicely in the bottom of the nut slots and can be used to check the nut slot height vs the fret plane. I typically shoot for nut slots at 0 to 0.5 mm above the fret plane. I find this works well for 24 fret necks with zero relief running 8's. If the nut needs shimming, I typically use shims cut from 0.3 mm thick brass sheet. For smaller amounts of shim, the aluminum from a soda or beer can typically clocks in at just 0.1 mm thickness. I typically install with CA glue only, and don't use the screws at all (front or back). If you set the action at the nut by setting the nut slots to the fret plane, you don't have to assemble the rest of the guitar. The neck will work with any body and bridge height, once you have the correct neck break angle.

This build is even more interesting than I anticipated! Also for the electric guitar I might just buy the squier bullet strat HSS. I can't go wrong with fender but I'll just have to play without an amp for a month so I can save up money to buy a 10w one

@@McAwesomeMcAwesome I agree!!! The Ripple effect of this could be devastating world wide! Praying with you brother!....I can't understand people who have such a power hunger that they are willing to see people die so they can have more! I don't believe this is about protecting Russian citizens in Ukraine...if it is then the media has fed us a warped version of what is taking place...which sometimes they do, but I don't think that's what's going on in this situation.

@@letsbuildaguitar9230 I doubt too that Putin is doing all of this just to protect other citizens I think he wants to expand their borders. Who knows all we are sure is innocent people are going to die

@@McAwesomeMcAwesome Absolutely Right! Pray against the dark forces of evil! Stay strong my friend! My mom just passed away from Alzheimers on Tuesday...One of the greatest blessings I've had was a mom who had Joy through darkness. I don't know if you've heard about Nightbirde (Social Media...Americas Got Talent)...she just died on Monday at age 31 from cancer, but her story and her life were absolutely amazing. She said she goes by Nightbirde because she heard birds singing in her trees at three in the morning and she was inspired to sing in the darkness....what a legacy! Check out the TH-cam videos...so encouraging even in the brokenness.
