Obviously all these people are really passionate about what they do, but putting a prize on the line is a great way to encourage healthy competition. I doubt he would be playing Overwatch if there was a prize.

That's a bird. Mate you need to go specsavers and I think my vision is worse than yours lol. I need glasses as well but I didn't need glasses to see this. Without my glasses I struggle seeing number plates that are like 3 to 5 feet away.
That is so cool. I love seeing what has happened here (every few months that I pop in.) You're so talented and always so entertaining. Still one of my all time faves.
It's treating me well. It's weird to think I was like 13 when I first watched a video by you, and now I'm 20. So many things have happened. I'll give the channel a binge sometime soon to see what I've missed, and you just keep doing what you're doing!
Dude, your editing is spot-on. I also love how well-structured your videos are, and how you recorded yourself for over ten minutes, eating chips and without saying a word lmao you're a national treasure
I just found your channel and I feel blessed. It's often quite isolating as a young black kid who's gotten into the hobby of game development. Contrary to my expectations, gamedev seems to be really rare among programmers of my age, and especially my skin color. It's just really inspiring to finally find someone like you on TH-cam.
You honestly seem like such a cool smart guy and you deserve so many more subs, this video was so laid back and you don’t talk tons of trash like other TH-camrs do. Keep up the great work!!!
very hard to get millions of subs with a channel like this as 90% of the population simply doesn't understand anything about it all. Much easier to just react to a 'funny guy' saying "dab lol"
OneHappyAlien his channel is amazing, but programming is more of a niche field, doesn't have that much of a broad appeal like a pure gaming channel would have for example. But I agree this channel is worth millions of suscribers. With time it will grow, the quality is there :D
Honestly, i never watched a video of him because of the shitty thumbnails. His stupid expression superimposed on some screenshot looks just bad, and unprofessional.
1:05 I know the two playing ping pong. Those two are the sole reason I got into Virtual Reality. They created the Virtual Reality club at my school. And I got my first ever research position in college because of those two. The research was regarding Augmented Reality. Much love to them.
Dude! I took part in GGJ2018 here in Dublin. We were all really confused by those weird videos. It was my second time attending a GGJ. Last year was nothing like this year 😂😂
I just found your channel and I want to scream from the rooftops THIS DUDE IS AMAZING!!! I love this shit.. this is my jam.. how has it taken so long to find a channel like this.
Thanks for sharing your game jam experience. My bf was in a game jam a few years ago and it’s so interesting to see what games can be created in such a short span of time.
Gotta admit... I respect your programming skill set. I am currently in developing of web, graphic, and application design, and I think it's super cool that you had the privilege to take part in a 3-D game design competition! Mad respects my friend
I love your style with your videos. The commentary with the facial expressions, and the damn Chips. Well done good sir. You've earned a like on this video and a subscriber. I look forward to more game making in the future.
I loved this video. These types of competitions are always awesome. What's required for someone to participate? What would happen if someone that didn't know anything about programming or game development got in?
no knowledge required, infact youre encouraged. I am willing to bet if you just sit in on a team for a game jam, you'll get a lot of insight, but even more I N S P I R A T I O N ! Give it a go Dok! :D - Jabril
Definately show up to these, its always worth doing even if you have no professional skills you can still make art or models or test. In a recent game jam we worked with someone who had come along just because they were curious and we got them to go around the city and take photos of various interesting textures they found and record some of the sounds of the city and we used them in the procedural design. It ended up being really great and it is always super helpful to have someone who is flexible
What I liked 1. The premise, good topic to talk about 2. The video itself great editing, visuals, and sounds, nice job Jabril, I'm subscribed so I'll be back
As an aspiring programmer and software/game developer your videos are pretty awesome for motivation and education. Keep it up, you're doing great things :D
I don't sub to people that often(even though i have like 200+ subscriptions i guess that just shows how long i've had this account) but for some reason i just felt the need to sub to you lol keep it up
Zycoization well actually I had an account I created in 2013 that still exists(I don't use it anymore because I have some pretty bad videos on there I don't even want to touch lol)
I love how instead of talking to the camera you just look at it and make expressions based on what your talking about XD Can't believe I've only just found this channel!
Bro! I loved this video! I competed in my second ICT GameJam in Wichita Ks. I didn’t place either time. It was more of a learning experience! I really wish I would have ran into your channel sooner. You definitely have a new Subscriber!!!
Great video man. Lots of videos like this have terrible commentary, I throughly enjoyed yours. I have very limited experience in game development aside from a few classes I took but I still found this video very entertaining. Keep up the great work.
Dude, that sounds like a lot of fun. You planning on participating in anymore of these in the future? Also, I literally laughed out loud at the "Chameleon in the Bathroom" joke. I must have been starring at the screen for 10 seconds thinking "That lizard is really well hidden." before I got it.

You don't need to know how to program at all to develop games. Of course you'll need someone who can on your team, but 3d artist (Or even 2d), musicians, level designers, they all have their place.
Accidentally saw this thumbnail video and watched it then reminds me of my original dream job when I was a college student lol. Nice vid OG! Keep it up!

I'd be interested to help, maybe you could actually organize your own game jam for this game, like make a livestream, get people who want to help on discord, or slack, or whatever and voila.
First time I've seen your vids. I like the format and amusing method for narration (chips+not moving mouth). I'm a hobbyist game dev looking to learn more (procedural and "AI"). You definitely got a new sub. Looking forward to more vids. Take care.

No. I also pointed at the camera. I'm just saying.
