This video was supposed to go up this weekend but I had problems with my "Bookshelf Tour" so here it is! :P DETAILS FOR MEET UPS: instagram.com/p/BVkTbB9hwh1/?taken-by=beautywithemilyfox
Just finished Waking Gods. Curious what you'll think! Becky Chambers for sure! I really fell for the mysterious narrator in sleeping Giants/waking gods. 😅 I actually liked a closed and common orbit MORE which I didn't think was possible!
Your book videos are the best!! They give me so much inspiration, and I've read many good books, that was recommended to my by you. Thank you, Emily, I love you
I read a ton of Stephen King in high school. I tore through IT but could never get through The Stand. My favorite books of his are the short story collections: Night Shift, Skeleton Crew, and The Bachman Books. I liked the short stories because they were more about suspense than gore. Sort of like Twilight Zone episodes vs horror movies; even though a lot of the short stories became movies (Children of the Corn, The Mist, and Shawshank Redemption)
You're looking gorgeous as always! I FINALLY finished Shogun which I've been reading since March and it was very very good, but it put me very behind in my reading schedule. I'm glad I read it but I'm ready to pick up some smaller, quicker reads and fly through some books again now that I've graduated and have all the time in the world (I need to find a job T_T)
The Red Rising series gets so much better after the first one I was the same as you and the last two I loved! I also need to read that series by Sarah J Maas because if you are continuing there is hope for me. Yay for reading slumps gone! I am on my second tbr on my desk and am on the second mistborn book! I am behind my goal but quickly catching up! Its been non stop reading since start of summer!
You should check out the booktubers Jean Bookishthoughts and Jen Campbell, they both read more adult books and I think they also both have videos on magical realism which I think you mentioned you wanted recommendations of? Anyway, they're videos are awesome and I've gotten a lot of great recommendations from them!
Great recommendations! I love both of those channels. MercysBookishMusings and SavidgeReads are really good too! I have received so many amazing book recommendations between all four of those channels.
Kinda didn't expect the Remnant Chronicles to be your fav read so far, I should really pick up the Kiss of Deception from my shelf soon. Dying to finish uni exams (last ones ever) and do a massive congratulatory haul. Lol I started reading (still haven't finished) ACOMAF last year before I went on holiday and I met a guy called Rhys and I might have projected all the feels for Rhysand onto him haha? He was cute though.
In my opinion, it's best to read the Stephen King books in order because they all tie in together. Especially in the dark tower series! Which is why people get really confused while reading the gunslinger. You should read The Stand first. 😊
If I can suggest two series, definetely "The Engelsfors trilogy" by Sara B. Elfgren. I could read only the first book because they stopped publishing it here in Italy, but that one I devoured in one night and it is about 600 pages if I remember correctly; just to say how I loved it! (once I clear my to-read bookshelf, I'll get the trilogy in English cause I need to see how it ends. It's about teen girls that find out the have the gift of magic and they are the Chosen to protect the city of Engelsfros from the Dark forces. The other series is again a trilogy by Sophie Jordan (Firelight, Vanish and Hidden) and talks about a girls half human half dragon that falls in love with a human and all the problems that come with it. I'm not really into romances but this series was good to distract mself from other stuff
I'm over 50% done with The Stand and it is easily one of the best books I've ever read. I really flew three the first book within the novel and I'm almost to the second one! The first book within the novel tackles the virus that kills the population and it's really intricate, but simple. The second book follows the two groups forming. One group called by dreams of the dark man, Randall Flagg, and the other called by the dreams of Mother Abigail. It focuses more on the communities. The last book in the novel will focus on the big battle that God and the Devil have aligned. Incredibly fascinating and while it's huge, I'm flying through it.
I read Three Wishes by kristen ashley and it was great. I would love it if you would read one chapter of it and see if you like it. This book was great, I know you don't like romance, but the romance in this is heart breaking and grows slowly. In this book it is shown the love of a mother, the loss of loved ones, how circumstances change you, and how to trust once again. The book takes place during a span of years and it is new adult/adult. There is a genie, but it is not very magical. It's read more like a tragic contemporary, well it's not tragic since it has a happy ending.
The Red Rising trilogy only gets better and better. You need to pick up Golden Son! One of all time favorite female characters is introduced in it. Also, I LOVE Nevernight! It's a little tough to get started because there are flashbacks and lots of footnotes in the beginning. However, once you hit ~75 pages, there's less of both of those things and the story takes off. I finished it in one sitting! Happy reading! 😊
I just read two Stephen King and I reeeeally liked Christine. It's about an evil car. I'm going to start reading The Shining soon cuz I just got it from the library. But you might like Christine and it's not as long as It!
I'm currently 250 pages into IT and I like it so far! It's not super action packed but there's a lot of character building and a few parts that aren't necessarily creepy but that just make your skin crawl. I'm definitely looking forward to finishing it! I think the next Stephen King I'll read is The Stand. And I also really want to read the Mistborn trilogy! I finished ACOWAR a few weeks ago and really liked it so I hope you enjoy it!
I just finished It a few days ago!! Definitely takes a while but it's well worth it (although my brother and I have conflicting opinions about the end)
I read "It" last year and really enjoyed it, I want to re-read it. My reading is going good so far this year. I'm a little behind on my Top 15 to read this year and how many graphic novels/manga/comics I want to read this year but not too far behind anymore, i'm catching up. I've read 40 books so far and have upped my goal to 72..and i'm thinking I might pass it. Last year was first full year of reading a lot and I read 50 books so :D More importantly though i'm enjoying most of the books i'm reading! So many wonderful books it's going to be hard to choose favorites! A good problem to have ^_^
OOh. The Alloy of Law. I have a graphic audio version of it. It is soo cool (even if I'm just 20 min into it, because I want to save it for long train trips) I predicted parts of the ending of The Hero of Ages from the beginning of The Well of Ascension, so I have to kindly disagree with you that it was mindblowing. Some part of the ending I was also like: aaah that's why Sazed got such a big character development... Don't get me wrong, those books were still very, very enjoyable and well written, just not 5 star reads for me (I believe I rated the series about 4.25-4.5 stars)
I just found your channel and I have been watching a lot of your videos 😊 Did you ever read Nevernight? I just finished it and was interested in your opinion of it but I haven't come across it in a video yet. I don't read a lot of fantasy but picked it up and really enjoyed it after I got past the first few chapters.
Your videos are so awesome! i only just started my TH-cam channel this month to motivate me to read more and so far the experience has been amazing. I so look forward to your videos every week! 🤗😊
Try reading one of his shorter novels like: pet samatry, cujo, the long walk..ect. All of them are under 500 pages. I don't advice you to read his two longest works before reading few of his short stories and his shorter novels. I almost guarantee you wouldn't like him, judging from the books you like and read. Start slow and choose a book with intersting premise and read it instead of choosing his most famous works.
Rhysand's name is pronounced "rees-end". I think one of the books has a glossary at the end so you can pronounce the named correctly in your head (even though the narrator for the first two books pronounced a few wrong without knowing).
This video was supposed to go up this weekend but I had problems with my "Bookshelf Tour" so here it is! :P

this colour fits you SOO good!! gorg xx
Thank you! My sister hated it and I told her she was crazy :P
Just finished Waking Gods. Curious what you'll think!
Becky Chambers for sure!
I really fell for the mysterious narrator in sleeping Giants/waking gods. 😅
I actually liked a closed and common orbit MORE which I didn't think was possible!
I love how much your personality shines through in your book videos!
Definitely agree with Rhysand. As soon as he popped up, I was like "I know already that I'm going to like him."
Your book videos are the best!! They give me so much inspiration, and I've read many good books, that was recommended to my by you. Thank you, Emily, I love you
Alma it was the same for me! and I think we have the same taste on books!!
Yay, that's really cool!! She has an amazing taste in books, and I love that she doesn't only read one genre, but many different ones
the cover to the stand is gorgeous!!!
Loving all the videos lately! I get so happy when I get a notice that you've posted another one. Thanks :)
I haven't read The Stand, but I'm in love with IT.
I read a ton of Stephen King in high school. I tore through IT but could never get through The Stand. I agree, please keep going with the Red Rising trilogy! And of course, horror. Horror is my favorite!
The Red Rising series gets so much better after the first one I was the same as you and the last two I loved! I literally JUST finished ACOMAF and watched this video to cure my book hangover and then you mention it and drag be back into the feels 😩
You should check out the booktubers Jean Bookishthoughts and Jen Campbell, they both read more adult books and I think they also both have videos on magical realism which I think you mentioned you wanted recommendations of? Anyway, they're videos are awesome and I've gotten a lot of great recommendations from them!

I am so excited to read sleeping giants after hearing your reviews! I ordered it from thriftbooks as soon as I watched your first review.
The book that made me cry the most was An Untamed State by Roxane Gay. I cried through the second half.
Read the stand! :D It's one of my favourite King's book
If I can suggest two series, definetely "The Engelsfors trilogy" by Sara B. Elfgren. I love the premise... I'm just scared of the book since it's huge haha
If you continue with Golden Son and you don't like it, just get through it and read Morning Star because that one is truly amazing.
The stand isn't as scary but it's sooo good! I would recommend that one over it
Emily, where is your shirt from? I love it! ❤️
I read Three Wishes by kristen ashley and it was great. I would love it if you would read one chapter of it and see if you like it. When you said Rhysand i smiled so hard that my face started hurting and my heart started beating so fast😁!
The Red Rising trilogy only gets better and better. You need to pick up Golden Son! One of all time favorite female characters is introduced in it.

I need more time to read them all!!
I really want to read Nevernight too but it's not high on my tbr. The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet was SO good. 💜💜
Right? I'm currently reading the second one!!
your reading tastes are so refreshing!
I just read two Stephen King and I reeeeally liked Christine. It's about an evil car. I'm going to start reading The Shining soon cuz I just got it from the library. But you might like Christine and it's not as long as It!
I"m loving your hair and you top; you look so pretty
I'm currently 250 pages into IT and I like it so far! I just finished It a few days ago!! Definitely takes a while but it's well worth it (although my brother and I have conflicting opinions about the end)
Lizzy B Diaries Im 250 pages in! It's taken me 9 days to get that far which is crazy! But I can't wait to finish it and then watch the new movie!
Lizzy B Diaries And I just realized I repeated myself from my original comment 😂😂 clearly my brain isn't working today!
That's exactly why I decided to read it now! I'm excited to see how well it all translates on film
If only we had more time to read all of the books!! I want to read It but it's so intimidating!
I read "It" last year and really enjoyed it, I want to re-read it. My reading is going good so far this year. I'm a little behind on my Top 15 to read this year and how many graphic novels/manga/comics I want to read this year but not too far behind anymore, i'm catching up. Read "it" before the movie !!
I need to!
I read the Mistborn trilogy based on your recommendation and I loved it so so much!!
So happy to hear it!!
Read "IT", is so so good! It's already my favorite book and I am almost finishing ;)
But it's so big!!! :P
I loved ACOMAF! It's honestly on a whole different level than ACOTAR
OOh. The Alloy of Law.
I have a graphic audio version of it. It is soo cool (even if I'm just 20 min into it, because I want to save it for long train trips)

Yay!! :D
Have you read Flowers in the Attic? It's one of those classic creepy reads. I just finished it and....wow. Disturbing
If you continue the series, it gets even worse... I read all five and it was something else
Never!! I need to though!
Tiny Hands McGee that scene where the older brother feeds the younger brother his blood like a vampire...
I love your sweater !
Agree Sleeping Giants was so good. Got Waking Gods but waiting to read it during vacation. Great tag!
The first Mistborn book wasn’t my favorite, I didn’t love it. do you suggest finishing it?
Love your book recommendations!
Read the Stand
I would suggest "Dracula" by Bram Stoker for the fall...well...alle year around if you're into that genre ;-D
I love the ve shwab books! I got a tattoo of Kell's eyes on my shoulder
I found ur channel like a month ago and I absolutely love ur videos.

I found your channel not that long ago but I love your videos!❤️❤️
❤️
Are you coming to Toronto? When?? Where????
Try reading one of his shorter novels like: pet samatry, cujo, the long walk..ect. All of them are under 500 pages. I don't advice you to read his two longest works before reading few of his short stories and his shorter novels. I almost guarantee you wouldn't like him, judging from the books you like and read. The only Stephen King book you need is Cujo. It is one of my all time favourite books. PLEASE READ CUJO.

You need to!!

Oh Rhys
My favorite book so far this year is The Hate U Give. It's so good.
The stand, the stand! Post-apocalyptic dreaminess
Right? I know I will love it, I don't know why I'm not reading it!
Love your videos! But big question is what is on your lips? Such a beautiful colour!
Any time it's a nude it's usually Milani Matte Naked!
BookswithEmilyFox thank you 💛💛💛
please do a review (with spoilers) for a court of mist and ruin!!!
oops, mist and fury 😂
YOURE COMING TO TORONTO WHAT!?
Omg when is your meetup in Toronto????
Can you do this tag on a blog? I think I'll try it.
OMG I never know that you was a booktuber too. Beauty + Books: my favorite youtuber ever
Read Golden Son :) this book takes the series to another level!
I love your outfit 🤩
Well my year is not going so well... I really wanted to read GOT but I'm reading everything else just not GOT 🙈
Love this!!
Rhysand's name is pronounced "rees-end". I think one of the books has a glossary at the end so you can pronounce the named correctly in your head (even though the narrator for the first two books pronounced a few wrong without knowing).
It sounds so much better the other way though! :P
I even pronounce Feyre's name Fae when I read because it's better haha
BookswithEmilyFox best suggestion: go with how you like to say it!
I love your top and style. Where did you get it?
It's a dress from ASOS but it's sold out sadly :S
Every time I watch one of your videos, I end up spending a hot fortune on books. Thanks?
Except I LOVED World War Z.
hi, Emily! I just wanted to know if you live in France? If so, how come your library has english books?
I live in Canada!
For some reason Emily looks a lot like Spencer from the Show ''Pretty Little Liars'' 😅
I just find out that you are not just a beauty guru but you have a book channel too. You are like Spencer in real life
If you want horror, it is better than the stand. The stand is sci fi
That sigh during World War Z tho
how do you make time to read so much?! so jealous
do unpppular opinion book tag
making the same video :))
