Someone finally asked the question I've been wondering. My favorite was The Power Within also starring William Zabka. I use to love to watch that trailer.

A dangerous place was another good one. It took on a much darker and serious tone I think. Transitioning from magic kid 1 & 2 which was more light hearted and kid friendly type of movies at the time. He was definitely gifted. I would’ve love to seen him vs Ernie Reyes Jr as a more experienced opponent to take on it would’ve been very interesting in my opinion.

I decided to look for him in lockdown, made it a mission. TJ did a few indie shorts about 5 years ago, found a photographer who's apparantly passed on a message but I've yet to hear back. May try again? I know he spent time with artsy-types in New York.
He was in Saban's Masked Rider so would be cool to get him to the Power Morphicon convention

I always wondered what happened to him. I was very young but I remember him in TV series like Mask Rider, Magic kid, Tiger Heart, The power within, etc and then all of sudden nothing. He just disappeared. Such a shame he was a legend. He could have been the next Vaddam.

Was a big fan of Ted Jan Roberts, he was the Corey Haim of martial arts films. Last I heard he was trying to make independent films and was working with Gus Van Sandt. He was last in the movie "Milk" 2008 which was a bio pic about gay politician Harvey Milk.

I have been searching for him recently and all I found he moved to NYC and joined some artsy people, did some small parts in few movies and indie projects.
Some poeople shared that he passed away June 2022. I couldn’t verify this, and I hope it’s not true.
Also seems like he is not happy with his previous works which is meaningless cause they were cool family movies with limited resources. I don’t know, but seems like his story is kinda sad like many of those child stars.

I remember these movies would come on channels like Showtime super late at night. It was my signal that it was truly time to go to bed. One night I stayed up and watched Tiger Heart. Well, as much as I could. One of the worst movies I’d ever seen. I think it was my first time watching something so bad that I could laugh at it.
The reason no one sees him anymore is probably because there’s more people like me than not. People who were cheering at how bad it all was, people who were laughing rather than in awe of his martial arts form. When you’re a young person, that probably stings. I don’t blame him for wanting to disappear.
