You two are simply beautiful people. Cole you are fortunate to find a lady who loves to fish with you. My lady won't do anything like that, and she hates snakes, and doesn't eat fish either. She has her good points, but she sure makes it mean for me to go fishing. I am just saying everybody don't get lucky like that. I guess I will keep her anyway, since we have been married 60 years. When I was a kid in the last century We trout fished creeks and small rivers where a 12 inch rainbow was a trophy. We caught mostly 6 to 10 inch trout and mostly native rainbows. All we did was gut them dredge them in flour with spices and fry them in cast iron frying pans with butter. We would pick them up by the heads and eat them like a popcycle bones and all. You had to fry them till the skin was crisp. This was in NW Oregon.

I know the the world record Brownie was caught on the White River there in Arkansas. I was taught how to turkey and grouse hunt by an Arkansas woodsman and one of the best sportsman I know. Used to supplement his family's food stores by huntin and fishin. Rest your soul ole Bob!

The trout fish that you caught on the first cast, is a Rainbow 🌈 Trout. I catch them in Colorado in the White River year round.

Heck yeah a 2 hour video on my bday let's goooooo
I was doing some shore fishing on a channel between two of our local lakes the other day, and a guy that was leaving gave me some left over leeches ( used mainly for walleye here) I stuck a couple on a 1/16 jig under a bobber and proceeded to catch 3 pretty good small mouths in a row, fun on my ultralight rig, a first for me!
