Great video. I love seeing such a young couple enjoying the outdoors together. My wife and I bought a vacation home in Arkansas and I hope to start fishing soon. It will be hard to beat fishing in Alaska as I catch 200 LBS halibut. Looking forward to some catfish fishing.
Definitely an adjustment when you go from that kind of barn door to some fresh water. Use lighter gear and you'll have a good fight. I rarely use anything heavier than a medium, especially in freshwater but use the same gear going after big red drum. Some people just seem to like landing fish. I like fighting them just as much, if not more. Even crappie fishing gets me going these days, especially since they are delicious 😋😂
Those are Angelina Jolie Drums, your so lucky to catch them since they moved to waters off southeast asia, thank god you got pictures, that last one you caught was the Mick Jagger Drum once thaught extinct but it goes and comes every 6-8 years.

I’ve noticed that fish will start biting when a big boat or barge comes by. I hope you guys enjoyed Alabama it’s a beautiful state. You guys should come to lake Guntersville sometime the bass and crappie fishing is unreal there.
What an incredible fishing experience. You two are having such great fun. Have you thought about a half-day charter for bluefin tuna ? I'm just about positive that you would have a blast pulling in a three-hundred-fifty pounder. Some nine-hunderd and one thousand pound bluefin tuna sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's the best for sushi and is great cut into steaks and sautéed in lemon butter. Many Blessings.
I don't know about elsewhere, but in the outer Banks it's approaching almost three grand to go offshore. Seems like a giant waste of money, especially when they are killing it spending relatively little. Not to mention someone else is catching a fish and letting you reel it in 😂 Not fishing in my opinion, just landing. Now if you pull in a 300 lb bluefin, that's a different story. Plus you'll get paid handsomely for it
My buddy got them for us somewhere but we have gotten them before at fish markets like Joe Patti in Pensacola. This particular crab we caught while surf fishing.

That looks like the Intercoastal Waterway somewhere around Gulf Shores or Orange Beach AL😊 And, it looks like you guys took rabbit guns to hunt lions AGAIN!😂 That fresh mullet is VERY good filleted, fried with fries or grits. Used to eat it at Mikie's Restuarant in Gulf Shores All you could eat Fridays for$2.99. Those drum are massive croakers/UGLY redfish!😊

Sail cats are good eats. Never tried hardheads but I've seen people fry them up and they say they taste fine.
