I got to work with sea otters among other wildlife while volunteering with a conservation group that worked with the DFG. Me and my crew were eating lunch after tagging some wildlife. This momma otter come ashore with her pup and was presenting her to us. The momma looked real distressed and wanted us to look at her pup. Turns out the little guy had a respiratory infection. We scooped up momma and baby without a fight and took them back to the clinic. A couple weeks later we released them. Clean bill of health. Every time after that she would come close to shore with her pup on her belly. It was her way of saying thank you and hello.
Once in a zoo, a river otter.grabbed my hand and I really felt happiness going through my whole body. I 'll never forget that inspiring and happy moment. :)
I just love the fact that they gather large flat stones to use as plates so they can crack shells on them. Otters are not only adorable looking but they are smart.
That's what I call abs of steel! LMAO! I love this spy cam, but the otter was like "Hey! Why aren't you saying anything? You need to work on your communication issues buddy!".

Otters are dangerous things. This makes them seem as harmless as a house cat. I seen a otter bite a Showman's calf back in the 80's at a small private park in Florida. Damn thing bit, clenched, and shook like a shark trying to rip apart meat. Never seen that much blood afore or since. It was a vision that sticks with you. The otter seemed to be diseased. Much bigger than most otters you see on TV.
I swear otters are having their best life, just casually floating around enjoying the view of the sky and the nice heat from the sun and also the nice coolness of the water... “OH A NEW FRD- WELCOME!” and just casually making friends I THINK I WANNA BE AN OTTER TOO :3 ahahah
