The most shocking thing about this skit isn't that Azula somehow has telepathic powers, but that it contains more fatherly respect and affection than Zuko ever received from Ozai in canon.
i mean Ozai revealed that he had mindreading powers in the last avatar skit, so it only makes sense that one of his children would inherit it
@@errorus1the1firstwait what
@@jonharrison3114they're joking because Azula was just making crap up but also Ozai joked about being a mindreader in the last skit.
Lmao, I dunno, depends 😅 maybe he got some empathy from a Zuko's new "mentality", according to Azula's thoughts/mental abilities.
Jesus loves you my friends : )
I love how Ozai wasn’t even mad that Zuko wanted to commit patricide
He burned his face for not wanting to commit patricide enough... So I guess this would make him proud
Well Ozai burn Zuko face because he sees Zuko refuse to fight his own father and as shameful weakness so for Zuko to now have a gut to think about killing his own father probably make Ozai proud that he finally have a strong ruthless son.

But for real, why did Ozai only have ONE operation planned for the entire duration of the comet and that single operation was "let's burn an empty rocky shore" ?
On one hand, writing failure… on the other you could head-canon that drawing in the avatar was the plan from the start; because ozai probably needed to one-up his grandfathers achievements to soothe his ego.
So plan could’ve been to kill the avatar personally and then start destroying kingdoms… after all he’s pretty much defeated the earth kingdom by that point in the timeline so it’s only a matter of cleaning up the water tribes after a short little genocide.
Don't forget Sozin used the comet to ahhinilate peaceful monks. All to stop the avatar. The avatar who would be reborn in the water tribe had he been successful.
Intelligence does not run in the family.
@@topsmug3409but wait, Zuko told his father Aang was alive AFTER the war meeting.
@@kingalastor936One could argue that was the reason why they constantly raided the Southern Water Tribe, as a precaution just in case the Avatar did reincarnate.
@@Fact-fiend_1000ASMR.
Well guys, let's think this through logically.
Sozin knew that if the Avatar comes into power his plans are nixed, right? Even a kid avatar can defeat anybody in the avatar and he knew this time is going to be an Airbender.
So he had the option to not attack the Airnomads, but then 100% lose in the long run OR wipe them all out. No airbenders means the next avatar cannot learn it if the current one dies or even better if they can capture it. Just keep the avatar in a cage for as long as possible and then kill them.
Now of course that means the Avatar is now reborn in the Water Tribes (or swampbender? Would have been funny)
Since they took out the south, you could say they tried to catch the new incarnation.
But also by all but destroying the southern tribe, they almost guaranteed that a waterbender avatar would be born in the north. So essentially the conflict boils down to controlling as much as possible from the resources of the Earth kingdoms while capturing the Northern watertribe, which is rather difficult.
But with Aang in the picture still and the Comet coming around for another round?
I would say either more strikeforces to key Earth Kingdom locations to capture / destroy them and make a show of the phoenix king on any other city that would be problematic to hold or even conquer and jsut annihillate it.
Alternatively move a large force to the North again and destroy the Northern tribe.
Both would bait Aang out just the same anyway.
But the only other operation for that comet was the White Lotus takin Ba Sing Se back...

Cabbage guy is the true evil…
Demons run when a good man goes to war😅
Well, the company he founded, Cabbage Co., is an antagonist in Legend of Korra.
huh maybe he turned the burnt forest into massive cabbage farms as his master plan
@@QualityPenCabbage Co's CEO was innocent. He was incriminated by Varrick.
In my head canon, cabbage guy is the real hero. He gave Ozai so many cabbages which made him too combustible, which was why he was flying around too much during the Ozai Aang fight giving the edge to the avatar.
Also where do you think combustian man got the raw power to combust with his third eye? Truly cabbage guy was the most dangerous ally of them all.
People don’t realize it, but Wulong forest really is part of the Fire Nation colonies. It’s just a random forest on the northern tip of the earth kingdom far away from any earth kingdom people. Ozai started from the shore and worked his way north, meaning he would have run right into Yu Dao, the largest and oldest of the fire nation colonies, and probably one of the biggest cities in the world. Ozai would have to do a lot of backtracking going south along the coast in order to get anywhere close to earth kingdom territory.
So Ozai be like "Let's burn down the entire Earth territory, start from the territory that already fall under Fire's colonization" ? ...
Did they even say any of those details in the actual episodes, or were they just added later on? I just remember Oozai was planning on burning down the remainder of the Earth kingdom to be able to fully take it over, and with Aang being brought to the shore there I always just assumed that had the fleet not been stopped there would be towns and cities not far off from the shore that would be in danger, and by starting their fire blasting before hitting a town or city, they're both cutting off any retreat back the way they came and also making it harder to shoot rocks up at them when they're already burning everything, anyone seeing an approaching wall of incineration like that is gonna just run away to try to stay alive and by then he'll have torched their resources and encampments, leaving them not much choice but to surrender in order to get the resources they need to survive, hard to find food to eat when all the animals and plants are gone.
@@metacat3106 This is going by the official world map on the Avatar wiki. Yu Dao appears in the first comic made following the end of the series. That it’s situated just north of Wulong forest is probably just coincidence and the result of the inconsistent geography in the series finale.
@@metacat3106It was added in post. The final battle location didn't have a particular starting point in name until later, and it's bad writing on their part for not having this situation more central. Like most things post-ATLA.

Surprised Azula didn't stop Zuko from luring Ozai to the Wulong Forest
Azula was upset with her dad for kicking her upstairs with the whole "Phoenix King".
Zuko played it smart by feeding into Ozai's ego and saying that anyone who questions the plan is questioning the Fire Nation's might. So Azula couldn't go against it without risking the favour of her father that lets her get away with so much. She tried to get back at him by telling Ozai that Zuko want3d to kill him, but he underestimated how deranged Ozai was
"Isn't Wulong Forest part of our Fire Nation Colonies?"
"....There's no way for anyone to check"
Smooth, Zuko.
Everything you do makes me happy "...my SECOND favorite child!" 😂😂
Zuko desperately trying to be sly for the good of humanity is hilarious and wholesome.
2:43 "Just like his old man" had me rolling 😂.
The weird part is, that’s strangely accurate to Ozai’s character. Ozai genuinely seemed to respond with approval in both the animated and live action show when Zuko had him cornered and was able to inflict serious damage.
The fire lords were like sith, one probally was planing to kill the other. Until zuko broke The tradition
We all know ZuZu has horrible body language. He’s inherited his mother’s flair for being dramatic.
The a.i. voices are so accurate wtf
if he's using RVC-Beta then that means he's using his own voice to do an impression (intonations and all that) and then the AI overlays the voice model over it. stuff you'd see in CSI

It's weird how accurate Zuko sounds. Azula too, though considering how much human emotion she lacks, I guess it's not that surprising a robot could emulate her well.
This three minute scene gives Ozai more personality than the whole show.

Well it worked out so well last time.
This reminds me of a StarWars novel. Admiral Thrawn is asked why they are attacking a deserted outpost and Thrawn says to the Admiral that even if it is deserted they can obtain resources and valuable information, he also stated that it would give their units great field training.

Zuko: "We don't need unnecessary details, all we know is that you need to stop the fatherlord."
If you want to burn down an entire continent with only one day's worth of Sozin's comet, it's actually quite smart to start from a forest in order to start an unstoppable forest fire that will spread across the continent.

That "regardless" took us straight to Anakin's layman's summation of his thesis on dichotomy again.
My first time watching your videos and I'm rolling on the damn floor with "Ladies, gentlemen, ZUKO" and "If is say nothing no one can misrepresent my opinions" XD
I feel for the scribe that has to take all this and roll it into a stirring patriotic epic for textbooks.
When Ozai intends to burn an entire nation to cinders, he means the entire nation.
No, no, this plan makes sense, hear me out. The comet doesn't last for a long time, it just sorta passes by for a short while. It's not like the massive military can be perfectly synchronized to fit the plan within such a short window of opportunity. So instead they are just storing and even increasing the fire by using the forest as one humangous campfire. After the comet flies away they were probably planning to strategically disperse that fire across the Earth Kingdom to achieve maximum efficiency.
Wow, that might actually work. Especially given the way bending works.
That's ... actually a good plan
OK Ladies!

That last bit was salty af because Azula KNEW he'd ruined everything and she couldn't say shit.
I'll gladly take more ATLA finale slander. Ozai's plan dies so easily by fridge logic. Makes you wonder how Sozin used few minutes of amped up fire ending to almost completely wipe out the Air Nomads.
Per the comics, he didn't get them all at the temples. Plenty of nomads escaped the initial purge but were hunted down over the coming years, often by setting up honeypot traps where they lured them in by getting them to think there's an Airbender enclave.
To be fair there seem to have been far fewer air-nomads then earth-kingdom citizens. And most of them would be concentrated in four modest sized temples (at least when comparing them to cities) with well known locations. While Ozai would have to eradicate an entire continent. One that is larger then all the other nations combined no less. Just Omashu alone probably houses more people than all of the air temples combined.
It's weird that no other airbender Avatar in the past 10,000 years tried really hard to avoid killing their enemies, given their people's pacifism. Seeing as that's the only reason why Aang found the lion-turtle and learned energybending: he wanted it real bad, so he sleepwalked to it.
@qbgrindddd I mean, yeah, we know two *specific* airbender avatars... The Avatar cycle lasted 10,000 years and it cycled between 4 nations in a set order, so there were *far more* airbender Avatars. There are dozens of airbender Avatars in the hall of Avatars, as well.
I don’t know where I heard this, but I thought the comet’s effect lasted a few hours, not minutes. It would have had to given how long the finale was. You may be thinking of the eclipse, which only lasted a few minutes
With regards to there only being one fleet you have to remember those airships are the pinnacle of technology, very complex and expensive to produce, especially given the previous hundred years of war that has sapped the world's manpower and resources, and the Fire Nation stretched to the absolute limit trying to occupy the vast Earth Kingdom had little to spare. Those airships are likely all that could be built prior to Sozin's Comet. As for starting in the forest it's kinda like the US testing atomics in the Nevada desert, it's isolated, remote, and secure so no one will disturb you(in theory) as you dial in and become accustomed to the raw power coursing through your firebending so that if something goes wrong only some trees burn because as much as Ozai said he wanted to destroy the Earth Kingdom entirely there were probably some things he wanted to not reduce to ash like Ba Sing Se which as we saw had a sizeable garrison within still.
It's also by the coast, so, you know, probably was just along the way
Zuko with two scars is such a cursed image. Makes me feel sad.
They should make one of Azula talking to Ozai about Chan. Asking for his romantic advice
It would probably be "You are the heir to the throne, you can take what you want."
So thats why they only had 1 airfleet.
Ok... These AI voice generators have gotten waaaaay too good! For a second I actually thought you managed to get Mark Hammil and the other OG voice actors to voice this skit.
Pretty scary stuff for professional Voice actors....
Less scary so long as everyone owns the rights to their own voice.
Sure the raw value and appropriate compensation of the work goes down if you don't have to do the recording, but that frees up your time to do other things while you loan out the right to use your voice to a given project.
Ozai continuing to interrupt and murder his son with words is too funny
Heavy mishima energy in Ozai, clutch
Next Zuko will say to burn all the Swamp people childrean to feed the soil for the new fire nation to rise.
Damm, Zuko is cruel, i cannot wait to have him as a firelord and see how more cruel he can be.
The moment I saw you uploaded I instantly clicked! I love your videos! Thank you for making them!!!
Thank you for bringing attention to something i have been thinking for so long. Like why the fuck was Ozai at a RANDOM FOREST of all places ? I dunno how long the Comet lasts but i am very sure it cannot be long enough to cover the entire earth kingdom so why is he there instead of right outside a major city or something ?
babylon 5 has an answer.
in that show, a powerful race attacks several planets in a sector, forcing refugees into a part of space that hasn't been attacked yet.
it was rightfully assumed that the race was planning to strike that area once all the refugees were in one place.
my guess is, if the fire nations incinerated as much "random earth" as they could, they would force everyone into major cities where they would then unleash hell, comet or no comet.
For what it's worth, the airships are crossing the ocean at the start. So to answer why Ozai was at "a random forest", I suppose that's just what happens to be at the west coast of that Portion of the Earth Kingdom, given the Airship Fleet took off from the Fire Nation capital, it honestly checks out.
The Airships simply got taken out before they could get any farther inland.
The Comet's length of time is unknown(it was at least long enough to wipe out the temples, and we know at the very least some of them didn't go without a fight), but presumably if uninterrupted, once they got a ways inland, the fleet would disperse and cause untold devastation in each direction.
TL;DR, Wulong Forest is probably just the pre-show. The fleet has every intention of continuing on past it.
@@brolytriplethreatto add to this, I think Ozai believed that he COULD burn the entire continent to a crisp in his arrogance. He was clearly starting to become mad with power, calling himself the “phoenix king” and all that. He probably also figured if his grandfather could commit absolute genocide 100 years ago, he could easily do the same with his army’s advanced military technology
Also I believe the comet’s power is canonically a few hours, unclear if that is enough for airships to even cross the entire kingdom, but we are best off assuming it is
This fits the characters so well even though its goofy for fun..
