1996 Tiara Yachts 4000 Express
The Tiara 4000 Express was Tiara's first mid cabin design. The boat boasts a 14'6" beam with huge accommodations for a 40-foot Yacht. The salon has an enormous 11-foot-long dinette which converts to a large berth. With the stools installed she can seat 6-8 at the dining table. The galley is nicely equipped with two refrigerators, cooktop, large sink and microwave. Forward is the master stateroom with island berth and ensuite head. The mid cabin has a queen berth with a head and sink in the stateroom. Above, the helm is nicely equipped with full electronics and seating for 4. The lower cockpit has facing bench seating with tables that come up from the floor allowing seating and dining for 6. Wonderful layout for entertaining and hosting large groups as well as vast live aboard amenities.
Welcome to Boat Restoration by Ben! This is a channel based around all things boat and yacht restoration related. I work full time in the marine industry and when I'm not at work, I'm currently restoring my one of a kind 1992 Sea Ray 380 Sun Sport. This is my 12th boat project! From $100 boats to 60 year old relics, I started small and worked my way up. Despite my best judgement, I buy boats that need A LOT of work and fix them up myself. I grew up boating at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, went to school to become an engineer, worked at John Deere for 5 years, and then decided to give it all up to pursue my dream to work in the recreational boat industry. Now having since moved to the Chesapeake Bay area, my mission is to share with the world my love and passion for mechanics and wrenching through my marine projects all while teaching you how to enjoy boats on a budget. I hope you Like these videos and please don't forget to Subscribe! Cheers, Ben. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Hey Ben, I’m also Ben and I also worked at John Deere for 5 years as a welder before leaving and chasing my dreams elsewhere. Love watching your content! Glad you are happy doing what you love.
Nice vid....constructive criticism, the waving of the hand in front of the camera is annoying, may just be me, keep up the interesting content.
Womp womp
get a finger stick, but never use " here" more than twice 😅
Nice boat, with a lot of potential. Reasonable price considering everything that needs to be done and it was probably around 250k or more when new. I’m partial to the 39 and 45 ft sport express Hatteras offerings from ‘94-‘98. I’m a former employee that did mechanical/electrical installations at the High Point NC plant before they moved everything to the New Bern plant.
Damnit, if the twin tiki dancers are included I'M IN!!!!!
Gorgeous boat, perfect project. I think you might have been putting the wrong end of the gate catch into the slotted recess.
Kind of boat you could fall for. ❤👍
Very nice looking boat. Will make a great project for someone!
This things awesome my buddy has one , he’s done some upgrades but it’s deadly 🤘
Great video Ben. I’ve really enjoyed the content lately. By the way, I’m guessing that a congratulations is due to you based on the evidence on your left hand.
Appreciate it man. Thank you!
Solid bones on that one. Not terrible at all.
Fuckin' ay, boat content!!! Hope everything is going good with your own project
I think what your calling a trunk is a lazaret?
Plastic thru hulls on a 120k boat? Thats all i needed to hear.. Its worth the value of the motors, not a penny more.. If they went cheap on the thru hulls, that tells you everything else on the boat was done on the cheap..
That looks more like a plow anchor... danforth has double flukes....
Looks like one of each… danforth fortress on the deck and the plow in the pulpit
really like your content however your hand is annoying enough that I couldn't get beyond 1/2 way through
The beer cans and extra oil really say a lot about this boat…
Want to dive into a 63 Ocean SuperSport?
Nothings up !
79 k for a lot of question marks? Too much for a diy project.
@HDchico not really, 96 diesel and 2013. Seems on pretty good shape. New Gen., redo wiring and / or replace switches, change out a few pumps/ motors, replace A/C unit and ducting and blower motor. Clean boat, repaint, and fix some fiberglass depending on your usefulness and abilities. You're looking between 20 to 30 grand plus any electronic upgrades. So, if you offer $62,500.00, you might be surprised at how much wiggle room you might get on the price. It's called negotiations. Remember, they can only sell a boat for what someone is willing to pay. They longer it sits the less it is worth.
@@gregchrist5090 wet spots all over, generator don’t run, original engine unknown condition, the other already replaced. Swim platform junk and replacement poorly installed. That’s a pass for a lot of people. With the time and money to get this boat 100 percent you can buy something else that’s been well taken care of.
They are 14.11 beam I transport those boats all the time and heavy also
Turf them motors ... I've got the 8.9 electronic version in my truck (Freightliner single axle 4x4) and I'm on my 3rd , only 275,000 km into the truck ... Cummins did a thing when the EPA took over back in 2007 ... Pure crap ever since 🤷🏻
Got 117,000 out of the first set of cams, and at 265,000 I washed out 3 cylinders, and burned a hole in the 4th 🤦🏻
The twin tiki dancers are worth 40k
I’m interested. I’ll pay your $79k if you cover shipping costs.
Send me an email.
@@BoatRestorationbyBen I don’t recall, what’s the email?
Any restoration or just talking?
That is a $25k boat max.
Hardly. $79k seems reasonable for a 46ft, 15ft beam boat. Hell, a little old Sea Ray deck boat with a 4.3 goes for $25k easily!
@@jerseyfreshfishing6613 Find me a boat like this for 25k I’ll wait 😂
😂😂 good one
Your price is ridiculous and you know it.
overpriced, its alm 30years old..one engine old, no gen lot of rubber and valves look like need change, it 40ft not 46ft, even in the model name 4000expresss 40ft, pulpit and wood platform dont make it a genuine 46 , the amount of work needed on the deck gelcoat is $$$$$$$$ id say it sells for 55-60
Cheap for a reason, good luck on your future loss!
