Big event and totally stoked for it! It's been a lot of fun watching the tournaments over this past year. Love to see it growing, too, as I know there's a lot of behind-the-scenes work going on to make everything happen. Always Team Danny, but if Bella shows up dialed-in, it's going to be game on! And NEVER count out Tommy - he always brings it in the majors. And which Eddie will show up?? There's only one way to find out, and that's on the challenging greens of Pinseekers.
Just been doing some research! The Pinseekers course has been used for a Major on four previous occasions, with these results.... Major No.2 1st - Tommy 2nd - Danny 3rd - Matthew Major No.4 1st - Danny 2nd - Eddie 3rd - Bella Major No.6 1st - Tommy 2nd - Steven 3rd - Eddie Major No.7 1st - Steven 2nd - Danny 3rd - Eddie On the face of it this might look like Tommy should be the favorite, but only a fool would bet against Danny. BUT... you also can't ignore Bella's recent good form, and Carter is an unknown threat on this course who could provide a shock result. Don't discount the fact Steven has won here before, and Matthew is a better player than his odds suggest. As for Eddie - he is so wildly inconsistent that anything is possible. Jess's chances? Don't ask.
Great research. Much appreciated 👍 Tommy is unbelievably consistent in his overall scores. His score distribution is approximately a stroke lower than Danny's and Bella's, and almost two strokes lower than Steven's. Tommy's average score, however, is almost a stroke higher than Danny's. My interpretation of this is that Danny is more willing to take risks in order to chase low scores, while Tommy is prone to playing it safe. Tommy's strategy delivers very consistent, predictable scores (around 42), but, as we've seen with his futility at elimination tournaments, he runs the risk of getting beat by a hot hand and/or risk-taker. Tommy does better in Majors because there are two rounds and he doesn't have to finish ahead of all of his competitors in the first round. Usually his 42s are enough to make it through. It's hard for a mediocre player to get lucky in two consecutive rounds, so they get weeded out and Tommy's chances improve. Bella is also very conservative in Majors and plays safe angles. We saw this kind of behaviour at the dinosaur hole in today's elimination final, where Bella careened the ball off the side whereas Danny gunned it between the feet and toes. It didn't cost her in that particular case today, yet Danny has edged Bella out repeatedly at Majors by going out on a limb and making some high risk shots.
@@paulboileau3758As far as I can work out, Bella's main problem is that she often plays her shots without enough pace and leaves them short - which I guess you could say is part of being conservative.
@@duncanhoult6061 for the record , I hate Pinseekers. It's by far the most mundane course, with scant opportunities for a come-back. It's merely a series of regular putting greens with a few more ridges and bumps. No obstacles. I wish The Twin Tour would avoid another Major at this giant bore.
@@paulboileau3758How interesting. I kinda like the course for the exact same reasons you hate it! Because there are no obstacles there is very little luck involved and in theory it is just a test of who's the best putter. I've read people say you should get a two on every hole, but this simply doesn't happen - the course is more difficult than people seem to think. There are lots of undulations and awkward reads which means that scores rack up. Also, most outdoor courses have low perimeter walls around each hole to stop the balls rolling out - but there are no such walls at Pinseekers meaning that balls can roll into the rough; also making shots difficult. Eddie in particular has struggled at this course resulting in some outrageous club throws more like someone throwing the hammer at the Olympics. His club throws these days are actually more restrained! Anyway, we'll agree to disagree.

@@Djm8520Dude, have you heard of Google? Pinseekers is in Wisconsin, unsurprisingly. They used to play the majors at this place a lot. It's a difficult course, with little luck involved, and definitely favors the better players.

Are you guys ever going to start filming in landscape mode? You have done a couple videos like that, but it looks a heck of a lot better when you do it that way plus it’s a lot easier to watch on a big screen. I can hardly wait for the next major.

I REALLY REALLY MISS THE DRAMA MUSIC IT REALLY ADDED TO THE VIDEOS. LOVE WATCHING
Bracket tournament deserves points in these Play of the year totals. It's hard to win 3 straight game to win a bracket tournament
We’re thinking about adding points to the bracket style tournaments for Year 2! Only the winner would receive points
I enjoy this channel way too much
Damn, I was looking forward to some Wolf craziness

Rumor has it, Jess is practicing hard for the event. 😉
Lets go Tommy! win it for the boys

Miss yah wolf, GO DANNY GO!
Those are some long odds on Bella. I'll take her all day, every day at +125.
Good luck, everyone.

I was clamoring for an exemption for three time major champion Tommy Two putt! Thank you twin tour commission for doing the right thing!!

So Tommy gets an exemption? That's nice for him! Based on what? If only six people qualified and are available, then why not just have a field of six?
Any prior major winners should have an exemption into the Year End major, especially in this case where Tommy has a chance to win POY.

If there is going to be this much money in this thing, we need more trash talk and a player that is the heel of the group.
We need club throwing Eddie back.

Jess but she got invited since Wolf could not play and Tommy did not qualify but got invited
