It's easy to overlook the exceptional calibre of Danny's shot-making. He makes it appear so effortless. A 42 on this course is spectacular. A tidy win for the maestro of the Twin Tour.

These courses look so hard. Do you guys prefer these or the gimmicky ones? The striped balls make me dizzy. I do believe that was a club fling from jess on hole 7, not a club drop. Great job, Danny. Way to stay steady throughout! 💙💙💙

Great job! Great video! I do love Danny commentating..... I probably don't say that enough, but you are good man.... You are good.... Danny on fire today. What a performance. Danny should really just put this on a thumb drive, and set it on his bookcase.... Any time you feel yourself losing confidence, film yourself, and then compare it to this video.... You had it all... Great speed. Exceptional holing speed, really really good.... Everything you did in this video was beautiful... And this is the perfect example of the fact that even when you do everything right, the putt doesn't ALWAYS go in.... And that's okay.... Steven, look, you had a huge huge year personally in 2024.... And good for you. You had an inspiring performance at the State Amateur..... You got engaged.... That's a lot. Obviously, I congratulate you, I admire what you are doing... But it's a lot... That's just A LOT to process.... And, not to go all "clubhouse psychiatrist" on you, but even though the changes in your life are all GOOD, they are CHANGES, and that can bring on some unexpected anxiety..... My whole point is, Sir, if I may, is, you look surprised every time a putt goes in... I think you are still suffering a slight lack of confidence... You are HOPING the putt goes in, instead of BELIEVING the putt will go in... And that is okay. That is fine. You have a lot going on in your life right now... It's fine. Step one is, give yourself a break. Step 2 is, find a beach chair somewhere in Southwest Florida, and sit in it, with a bucket of ice, and a bottle of Gentleman Jack, and a glass.... Drink, until you can't even remember your own name.... Feel the sun on your face... Listen to the waves crash.... (and please, wear plenty of sunscreen... Look, I lived in the greater Milwaukee area for 50 years... Now I live here... The sun is different. Don't make the same mistakes I made. You will end up in an emergency room, burnt to a crisp.... don't do that, I beg you....) Anyways, then go back to your hotel room, sleep for two days, eat some steaks and some nice seafood.... And when you get back home, go back and dedicate yourself to your most basic fundamentals.... Stance, line, feet, head position, pendulum... I'm looking at a thumbnail right now on TH-cam, you are so perfect... Nice knee bend... butt behind... Back straight, like a 2x4... Hands low... Shoulders free to pendulum... Head & eyes right over the ball.... Everything you are doing is beautiful my Brother.... Just free your mind, and hit your putts, and don't get bogged down in results.... If you keep hitting good putts, good things will happen.... Honestly, if I was going to give Wolf or Jess a putting lesson, I would just show them videos of you... Everything you are doing is fundamentally sound.... Honestly, just take a deep breath, and WHOOOSH it out, and LET IT GO.... Let the tension GO.... Just hit great putts, and let the chips fall... I know, Danny is unconscious right now... He's your brother, there is that rivalry... Let it GO. Breathe OUT. RELEASE the tension.... I know, this is all very easy for me to say... I'm not you, I'm not living the pressure cooker... I know. I KNOW. I was you once, long ago.... I am old. I'm trying to tell you, it's gonna be FINE.... Jess, you hit a lot of great putts today. The score did not really reflect that.... I do think that you are the best one of "the crew" at reading other people's putts, and learning from them.... Which is a great great skill, and hard to teach..... I took a putting lesson years ago, from a young lady, and she helped me SO much, I can't even verbalize.... Go take a putting lesson. And then get a putting mat for your house, or condo, or apartment, or whatever, and practice practice practice what she tells you.... You will be an above average putter for the rest of your life, I promise you.... Tommy... Tommy, you know I love you... Tommy Two Putts.... Now, listen, this is coming from a place of love, okay,... Another bad start. This is not the first time, my brother.... I took a "playing lesson" years ago, where my instructor went out with me, and we played 18 holes.... At then end, he gives me a big speech, for the first 3 holes, you take NO RISKS.... Hit VERY CONSERVATIVE SHOTS... Stay 100% within yourself... take no chances... find out what you HAVE today, find out HOW THE COURSE IS PLAYING, and get all that information, in the first 3 holes... That advice has stayed with me for a couple decades, and I do feel it is good advice.... And even more importantly, you are playing in an 18 hole tournament. You don't have 72 holes to figure it out... So, very important Sir, you are a fine putter of the golf ball. Don't "take yourself out" of the tournament in the first 3 holes.... Stay very close in touch with the leaders for 3 holes, and let your putter do the talking on the back 9.....Seriously. The first 3 holes, very conservative. I do feel this could make a big big difference in your results... I know, I know... Look, I love your energy, I love that you are your own "hype man"... I love that, and I'm not saying you should change. You gotta play to your personality. And I know, I get it, you wanna "jump out to that great start", and do all those things.... But if you could find a way, to just reel it in, for the first 3 holes.... I think you would really like the results.... I know, haters will say, it would not have mattered in this one... And "on paper" that is true.... But at several points in this tournament, you would have been within one shot... And that would have changed things a lot, I would argue... Instead of having to gamble, to catch up, you could have played good smart shots, to try to close the gap of 1..... Anyways, GREAT JOB on the video.... I actually found it very very interesting, the dynamic of a tournament where there was NO hole in ones..... It RAISED the value of the 2 tremendously..... There's actually a good lesson there.... Hit your first putt, with the firm idea in your mind of, I need to make a 2... Forget about the hole in one.... Put all your focus on making a 2, at any cost.... Probably a good lesson to all players, keep that 2 firmly in mind at all times..... Okay, sorry about this comment, it's way way way too long, I apologize.....
