If I ask them to pre-program the card with my link and I would like to modify the link in NFC tools, the modified link in NFC tools will just overwrite the pre-programmed link. Correct? Hello! Yes, following these steps leaves the chip open for anyone to reprogram assuming they know how. However, in NFC tools under "Other" on the home page you have the option to password protect the contents, meaning you will have to unlock via password before programming (still scannable) and you also have the option to lock permanently forever. (Still scannable but this is permanent, the tag can never change)

Hello! I am assuming you have an iPhone XR or newer? If yes, then I am guessing you may not have included the full link when using the custom URL option. If you just did www.blank.com it will program but iPhone will not read it
@@franbevanda Ah, that iPhone is too old and is not compatible with automatic NFC, which started on the XR then 11, 12, and 13's. However, if you open control center there is a sideways wifi-looking icon. That is your NFC button. You can click that to read the chip rather than opening an app. If you don't see it go to settings>control center and make sure NFC Reader is enabled

Thanks! The card is simply meant to be a relay of information, so if you designed a checkout page on your end with a discount included, this card can direct someone right to that page. Or if you program a member number on the card that your end automatically gives a discount when detected, that would work too
Helloooo. The phone should 100% work, however there are some things iPhone cannot read, such as generic text, wifi info, location, etc. It is best to stick to website links, social media, and contact info

Yes! The best way is to store one link in the NFC tag like linktree, contact in bio, linqs, shorby, etc. these websites allow you to store multiple social links under one single link. Let me know if this answer helps!
It is always on in iPhones and works natively. Just the phone has to be “awake” to read the card. For androids, same thing. However for androids the user has the ability to turn off NFC in settings. It’s defaulted on and will only be off is the user turned off at any point during phones life
If you go into “Other” on the home page of NFC tools you will see a lock option. There will be a warning about how irreversible it is, click through that and you are able to lock you tag permanently

Up until the iPhone 12 came out the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and older did not even have the option of NFC, thankfully when Apple updated to iOS 13 they at least added that button you mentioned to make NFC reading possible, because it is far better than having nothing. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this or make it better. Luckily 94% of smartphones can now read NFC out of the box like in this video so it's only a matter of time before these older phones are completely phased out. As far as the Galaxy you mentioned, those phones were able to read NFC since 2013. However NFC may need to be turned on in settings. Also, remember that android typically puts the NFC reader in the center-back of the phone while Apple puts it in the top. Let me know how it goes!
Yes. Tap Tag can program for you before they send. You can also program 100 yourself however it’s not as bad as it sounds. 100 cards with the same link would take about 20 minutes using a free smartphone app

In most circumstances I would agree with you. However, shoot them an email right now or chat the text box in the bottom right corner and I guarantee you will get a human in 3 minutes or less. I believe using the chat box you can also obtain a phone number. They are a small business and probably do not want phone calls 24 hours per day if I had to guess. I do not have a video of the full set up :/

I just got my Linq card in the mail and it was easy to set up and you can add so many things as well I may get this one too.

Phones will only respond to one web link. If you are adding multiple items it will not work
make a link tree or sociatap link and have that set up for all your social media’s and just program the link to the card

It will not overwrite. Schools use a different type of NFC that cannot be altered without a special device

A smartphone will not read the card, it is a more secure type of NFC that smartphones do not pick up for security reasons

Hello, just wanted to confirm the chip is solid plastic and is embedded into the actual card and is flush with the metal. It does not wear and you cannot scratch it off
