Every time a new Protest The Hero fan is born a kitten high fives a robot while windmill dunking a basketball as fireworks and pyro go off -- and I feel like a stack of $100 bills on a cherry cheesecake being served on a party yacht powered by the hopes and dreams of a million letters to Santa.

PTH is awesome. Big Propagandhi reminder for me. Every time I listen to protest it’s right on to Propagandhi

The guitar player is also a very good piano player. They are a great group of musicians and gentlemen

Been listening to these guys since 2007-8. They stay true to they're own style and don't sell out to mainstream shit

They started the band back in 2001 They got really noticed when they dropped their album Kezia back in 2005.

The fireside on this same album is my personal favorite! You can’t go wrong with their older music either

Rachelle Reacts Their first album Kezia is amazing all the way through, their second album Fortress is their most technical and my favorite album of theirs. Favorite tracks are Bone Marrow, Sequoia Throne, Blindfolds aside, Turn Soonest to the Sea

      @seanh7585 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely Kezia.
Their first album, a calculated use of sound, is very punk and very experimental. It's a rare listen for me. Might be nice to see where they came from, but Kezia is where they came into their own.
"A plateful of our dead" would be a good react. It's high energy and has a very 00's metalcore sound!

I've heard people compare Rody (the vocalist) to Bruce Dickinson. Lots of vibrato and those big soaring notes. I can definitely hear that but he also has that 2000s emo influence. Like if you listen to their album Kezia from 2005, if you strip away all the technicality, they were very similar to a band like My Chemical Romance.

As some have pointed out this track was about the great molasses flood. A lot of their new record references stories and themes from American history. Pretty neat stuff. Would highly recommend "The Canary" (The song is about Amelia Earheart, the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean).

I started listening to PTH not too long ago & going through their discography. Band that I should've listened to sooner. They're very good! Lots of good ones on the new album, The Canary, From the Sky, & Rivet are few others I really like.

    Fave band ever.
They've changed and matured on every album, but kept their same sound. Goofy, heavy punks at first, slowly turning into well produced prog gods.
I've had the privilege of following these lads from their second album release, their catalogue is a MUST listen.
Along the same veins, you might like The Human Abstract. Post-hardcore music nerds mixing prog and classical songwriting with a a thrash element. "Vela, together we await the storm" is their Ubiquitous single, but they really changed over the albums, so I'd recommend a later hit: "horizon to zenith", personally.

You should look at the plot for the album Kezia.

This album is amazing, this track is a very uplifting upbeat sounding track on the album in comparison to rest of the tracks, however the lyrics arent at all.
very interesting themes on this album and there singer delivers it so damn well.
