I know it's just random chance, but the way they seem to just adapt to each other: Isshin staying out of range of the fireworks at 4:41 and blocking the attack that came from behind at 5:10 and Owl dodging bullets at 5:46 Also that whole back and forward from 4:40 onward was sublime.
It really shows that Sekiro was taught by the Father. They have very similar move sets if you look closely. Not only in terms of what gadgets they use and what attacks, but also the timing of the parry, the jumping movements, the dodges, etc.
@AfroUnknown I play fighting games and jumping is something you should be careful off on Okizeme is fair play but otherwise it can be your doom, if they did not put emblem cost on weapons people would use more tools, I am not a spear type of guy but I use it and also the umbrella. There is not that much replay value on Sekiro but I guess some people still find some kind of fun.

I think its cool to think how ridiculously strong both Isshin and Owl are. Isshin not only is one handing a spear, but he is also jumping around with it while also swapping to his sword in between. Owl also has a pretty large sized sword as well that he is acrobatically jumping around with as well, very effortlessly. Both are amazing characters.

Nice display. It seems like overall owl just has a way better moveset than isshin. Isshin hot saved by his 3rd bar and his *poise* . Like for real isshin tanked through most attacks especially in phase 1 while owl got staggered by every gust of wind.
well, it might be explained by the fact that the owl is a shinobi and Isshin is a samurai and the way thay have been fighting throughout their lives are different, therefore Isshin is sturdier
It's amazing despite boss AIs were only meant for fighting sekiro they can still react to other sources of attacks like another boss AIs' range and melee attack and dodge.
Owls size,speed and range with his huge sword really negated alot of what isshin does. His spear usually has a range advantage but owls sword his just as big.

The thing that I find cool about npc’s fighting each other in Sekiro, is that they use parries and dodges in a similar way the player character would. Making these fights more dynamic.
these two are, lorewise, probably the best to ever do it in their respective professions isshin being a samura, owl being a shinobi that makes this a hell of a fight, just in concept
It's cool that Owl can get the electrocution status effect cause there's no reason for them to program that into a fight where lightning isn't a concern. Cool detail.
In fairness I believe they just programmed that into all enemies, it would likely be difficult to individually code which enemies could be inflicted statuses instead of just coding the ones that cannot
It’s all opinion but I feel this is proof owl is the harder boss. The only reason he lost ishin third phase is because he isn’t programmed for lightning reversal. And in my experience his third health bar is the easiest due to lightning reversal

I noticed that Inner Father is like our Sekiro, he use the same abilities and prosthetic tools, thats cool in the father/son relationship between Owl and Wolf
It's also because he is a shinobi. Like how Butterfly had her knives and illusions. Sculptor had an axe. And kingfisher had their whistling ring. While all shinobi have secondary tools it makes sense for owl to have the most as he is considered a master shinobi
you actually can mimic almost all of owl's attacks, fire crackers, shurikens and the mist raven, combite that with different combat arts and you are playing like owl
interesting how enemies from fights that would never involve any lightning in the regular gamed are still shockable. would be awesome if some future DLC (possibly related to Tomoe) would include a lightning prosthetic or skill

Compared to that, Inner Isshin only got Empowered Mortal Draw and two new combos. Inner Isshin does have cooler movesets, but I wish they had changed his spear into his fire katana and made his fire attacks - including One Mind - even more dangerous.
In Elden Ring I want the ability to see other mini or main bosses fight each other with specific move sets. Like if the boss has arcane or magical abilities and curses, bigger smaller body size unique weapons/abilities I want i.e. boss/mini boss to be able to see and develop/makeup something up to fight the boss and try to beat the boss like how players adapt, overpower, or cheese bosses and mini bosses. If you understand what in trying to say you could simplify it to other people.
I think isshin moves are more pragmatic. Owl dodges and shinobi tools more like variative to me. They have their own advantage, 'cause they are like different as lore. Shinobi and samurai (idk what he's called)
